Very tasty but on the pricy side. The toppings could definitely be cheaper.
Very tasty but on the pricy side. The toppings could definitely be cheaper.
Very disappointed. Pizza was barely so so, part of crust was soggy. Way overpriced. We spent $40 just for the pizza that we didn't even enjoy. Add drinks and a salad and our bill was $100. Would not recommend it. Two brothers is way better for $8 a pie!!!
All the accolades are spot on. The pizza really is that good. Lombardi's is the standard by which I will judge all NY style pizza. Worth every penny.
The pizza is good but expensive for what you get. Definitely paying for the experience of eating at a historic pizza place.
Good tasting pizza, they keep it casual and bring cash $$$$
Wonderful classic Italian restaurant where you really go for the pizza (or calzone). Pick your own toppings, but get the garlic sauteed spinach as one of them. You won't be disappointed!
The place to be for the Little Italy historical pizza. Good and fresh ingredients. Many different rooms for lunch and good ambiance. The waiters are nice but very focused on speed up the Lunch to have as much as possible new tables for the next clients. But good speed moment. To do once for the history.
Great pizza and calzones, long time NYC tradition, not cheap but great coal fired oven.
It was a decent pie. I've had thin crust pizza that was just as good, less expensive and I didn't have to wait 1/2 hour for. Also waiter that took my order was rude. Wouldn't go back
Met up with some friends and we split a white pizza. It was so delicious. The cheese was amazing and the pizza was flavorful. We ll def be back
Only went here because I seen it one the Punisher Overrated though.
Good quality pizza and service, but it's definitely not worth the price. The reputation of the restaurant is higher than the food served.
Best pizza on the planet. As authentic an Italian place as you'll ever get. Try the cream sodas.
HUGE pizzas. Still one of my favourite pizzarias in the world. Great choice of ingredients. Great prices. And huge pizzas. I always go for meatball and salami combination. Great olives also. Amazing service.
The 1st and original pizza restaurant in America.
Excellent pizza but I think many other pizza shops have come along that have surpassed them but I still think it's a great place to take visitors because of the history and great pizza.
I would always keep the toppings to a minimum though. Maybe 2 and definitely not more than 3 or it will be too soggy.
I wish I could give them a 4.5
Tourist trap. Ok pizza, but overhyped and overpriced - $30 for 12 inch pizza! Many of the 5 star reviews seem fake. 2 of the reviews, by different people, are identical!
Famous pizza and it s own right, but I don t think it was as good as people make it up to be
I'm from Chicago so I know pizza. This place oozes old school Italian pie. Crispy, fresh, and delicious. A must when in New York.
Great pizza, great service! The pizzeria is over a hundred years old what can I say.
Lombardi s claims to have invented the NYC pizza style, and they certainly do have the feel of a long lived New York institution. The restaurant is traditional pizza joint through and through with a busting energy and sticky tables. The space is somehow huge and yet doesn t fit the big crowds, so be prepared for a wait or go for takeout. Pies are on the pricey side, around $25 for one topping which is steep. You do however get a tasty slice of traditional pie with some NYC history thrown in. The crust is chewy and delicious as is the cheese. Any meat topping is top notch as well and well seasoned. Perfect for a cold night when you just want to sit at home with a delicious pie.
Really an Icon for pizza in the US, love their pies and their ingredients. They've appeared in so many food shows just search YouTube if you want a visual experience. But a great restaurant and some of the best pizza in the city.
What happened to this place? Overpriced and average food
Not like the old good days. Food and service need improvement to meet the standards.
Best pizza ever. Seriously. Cash only so be prepared.
Another NYC experience that you should all try. Among the better places for pizza. Still prefer Patricia's in the Bronx.
FREAKIN AMAZING. best pizza, salad and amd drinks ive ever had. Crust was amazinggggg
First pizzeria in America! Awesome food in a great setting. Very well worth the walk. I strongly encourage people thinking about dinner to either go early or late. Lombardi's is cash only so plan ahead. Their Margherita pizza is amazing. Great location for a couple out to dinner or a group of 8 or 10. Reservations are taken for groups of 6 or more.
Pizza is good but the staff there is not friendly AT ALL!
Good, not great, brick oven pizza. Being the first or oldest doesn't make for greatness. The staff and servers are tops though. I'm just not impressed with the pies. Lackluster ingredients, the boring dough and crust, and too pricey. It's only pizza fellas!
First Pizzeria in the United States! Amazing place but quite expensive.
Loved this cute place! Excellent pizza & atmosphere!
I know this place is the first pizza restaurant in America, but the pizza is very average and very over priced. There are way better pizza places.
Incredible Pizza at the nation's very first pizzaria! If you're in Manhattan and you love pizza, you can't pass this one up.
Love their Margarita (with sausage and pepperoni) and White Pizza. Definitely a must-eat in NYC.
The waiter laughed at my girlfriend and flipped over the menu when she asked what they have to drink. Also this place is cash only, yes they have a sign but easily overlooked ;thats something the hostess should mention before seating a party and not mentioned when receiving the check.
They claim that they are the oldest one. the quality of their pizza proof that they are one of the bests for sure.
We ordered Margarita and then we add some toppings and the result was really delicious.
Thank you guys and keep it high.
Beautiful place, very burna pizza, the attention is not very good and you can not pay with credit card or debit SOLO CASH
I wasn't impressed, pizza very average. Place needs remodel.
The many great things about NYC is the food choices and when it comes to pizza boy to we have choices.
As for the pizza, sure if you are in the SoHo/Nolita hood and want pizza sure it will certainly satisfy your pizza craving but would I just go to Lombardi if I wanted pizza probably not.
Because there are better establishments that aren't overrun by tourist and I can name 3 other pizza places within the same area that I'd rather go to for pizza. Now don't get me wrong...I've been known to be a tourist on many occasions but this one I give to them. Event tourists needs to eat and why not in a NYC like ambiance that gives this city the wonderful charm that we enjoy.
Overpriced - really expensive for a pretty ordinary pizza.
The food was lovely. I tried the Margherita pizza. The only thing that was a bit shame was the service. It was a bit hard to order the pizza, not to mention the time it took for the pizza to be served. You can choose loads of topping, size and I found it interesting cause in my country we don't really have that kind of customized pizza. It was good
nice place, it can accommodate big parties, and the pizza is delicious. it is better to book in advance.
Favorite pizza place I crave this at home in Toronto Canada
Giving a 1 Star Rating solely on the basis of having to eat off plastic plates and drink out of plastic cups. Not a pleasurable experience before even taking into account the extreme wastage and environmental impacts this contributes to - especially in a time when single-use plastics are/should be being phased out.
Not acceptable in 2019, and hope (for whatever reason) this was a once off - I have no reason to believe it isn t though, unfortunately - and isn t a regular occurrence.
Otherwise, the food was solid, nothing to write home about but by no means poor either.
The first pizzeria in the USA and the pizza is great. But only if you love thin crust.
Really tasty pizza in a nice mom and pop place! Prices reasonable, and some nice beers on tap!
The best white pizza ever!!! What a landmark, so glad we made it to such a historical place for pizza lovers!
My favorite pizza place to eat while while visiting New York.
Unless you are used to spending $75 per meal for yourself stay away!.......it's a New York institution alright .....but now they are just cashing in on their name! Subpar......there are better pizza places near by!
FIRST PIZZA PLACE IN THE US. YOU CAN THANK THEM FOR PIZZA IN THE US!!!!!!!!
Amazing.. This little gem tucked away in "Little Italy" will be the highlight of your evening if you are a pizza lover. Service was great. The pizza and salad we're both delicious. It will be a regular stop on our trips to NYC.
The pizza was rather good but: 1. Plastic dishes are truly a no go. 2. The Ceasar Salad we ordered as a starter had a strong pepper sauce in. Also no egg. 3. With a large pizza on a table for two, eating is quite a challenge. 4. We asked to add some Italian sausage as extra topping. That came in the form of perfectly round shaped coins, which looked not that genuine. Also the sausage had some fennel after taste (not mentioned in the menu). 5. This place is expensive: 5$ per extra topping? 6. This place does not accept credit cards: I paid cash and asked for a receipt, which took a while. After some time I am handed an A4 photocopy of the handwritten reckoning: is this even a legally valid receipt? Anyway, it felt like they were not used to provide any receipt at all (or didn't have any cash register).
There was a time when this was the place to go. Now the attitude is apparent from the second you walk in and talk to the dismissive host.
The pizza is good enough however it does not live up to many of the newer pizza joints.
It s a tourist trap I would avoid and try other places.
Very little is needed to describe the place: aberrant and supercara pizza.
Pizza is amazing, is always full but the wait is not that long and is totally worth it. This place has more than 100 years opened. Everybody visiting or living in the city must go at least once! I ve being here many many times! PS: they only accept cash
What can I say, everyone at the table said...wow...oh...wow. I think best place in little Italy to eat something that is still authentic. Bon Appetit
Very good service, highly recommended spaghetti, mainly seafood
Horrible experience. Paper plates, plastic cups, stale bread, extremely mediocre $35 pizza. Do not go. Go to omakasa
Cozy place where the main course is always pizza: here everyone can taste an authentic italo-american atmosphere and I say it as an italian. Everything has the same atmosphere of Little Italy; the only defect is the menu, that's too little.
It was good but definitely not better than John's on Bleecker.
In my opinion the classic NY Pizza experience. Best in the city, still!
I think it's over rated 3 stars for being the first pizza in newyork otherwise they even have better options in Texas but overall decent:/
Overpriced pizza with minimal cheese. No refills on $4 drinks. I would suggest finding another place.
Best pizza I have ever had and I've eaten pizza globally. But price is expensive.
We were lucky to get no line, food was very good with excellent service. No desserts but we didn't mind.
Pretty good pizza. Go just for the fact that you can say you went to the oldest pizzeria in the states. Also make sure you check out the oven downstairs.
Tradition for us to come here every time we go to New York :) staff all so friendly. Pizza is delicious but very thin so if you're trying to decide what size to get, choose the bigger option!
Excellent pizza, a little pricey but definitely worth going once and a while.
