We did the guided tour with the kids and it was great. Saw the turtles up close and learned a lot about turtles and conservation. This is great for all ages and I think everyone needs to learn about these marvelous beings.

So neat to see these huge, vulnerable animals up close. So heartening that people are trying to protect them from the damage we humans have caused to their environment. Very interesting and educational for all ages. Bring some cash for a donation to enter

I can't think of anything negative about this place. The cause is beautiful, the museum aspect is fun, and the distance to the beach is really convenient. I wish this place has a paid entrance because they deserve it with the amount of turtles they rehabilitate.

If you plan to visit keep in mind the Center is relatively small. A lot of space goes to some medical rooms and a space for reserved events. You might want to visit the beach right after. It's 5 minutes East, walking from the parking lot.

The center is free to enter with a suggested donation. They have a daily Turtle Talk at 10:30am and tours at 12:30 and 2:30pm that are $10 for adults. The turtle talk was interesting - volunteers go over anatomy of turtles and specifics of the seven marine turtle species worldwide. It's a fun educational event for kids and teens since they pass around turtle shells and skulls. Volunteer docents are also available to give more info about the turtles out in the tanks which are in various stages of recovery. The center has a full veterinary facility on site to help care for and treat the turtles brought to the center, and there's a big window to see them as they work. I really recommend spending an hour or two here, it's a great way to get out of the sun for a bit and learn more about endangered, local species!

Rene was fantastic, informative! Saw hatchlings and juveniles and adult sea turtles recovering, doing well. Thank you to all the volunteers there!

And readers of all ages, stop perpetuating plastic and other bad trash! Our planet is not disposing of it. In fact, you are probably ingesting it at this point. It does Not end up getting reused and recycled! That's a big, fat myth corporations want you to think.

Wonderful rehabilitation station for the many species of sea turtles in the area. Very educational about the detrimental human impact on these animals and what we can do to help plus was free (donations welcome). The children loved it.

Loggerhead does an amazing job of caring for our area's injured turtles. I do wish there were low viewing areas or step-ups for younger children to see in all the tanks.
I'm looking forward to the expansion, for it means rescue apace door more turtles and more educational opportunities.

This place is AWESOME. A must if you are visiting and want to experience these beautiful creatures. We got to see a bunch of newly hatched sea turtles (displaced due to hurricane Dorian) which was PRICELESS. The friendly volunteers made me want to volunteer, which is how it should be! Highly recommend!

This is a very small center, so great for a quick outing or for someone who can't do much walking. The $10 hour long (went over by 15 minutes!) guided tour was very informative and enjoyable. Loved hearing about the individual personalities of the turtles currently in their care.

The seed for the this education, conservation, reh...

The seed for the this education, conservation, rehabilitation, and scientific center was started over 40 years by Eleanor Fletcher known locally as the "Turtle Lady". Eleanor had a real estate business in the area and she became enamored of the sea turtles on the beach. As she began to study the turtles she quickly began to realize that the hatchlings were in danger from man made development in the area.

Eleanor felt the best way to help the turtles was to educate children and the public and so in 1983 the Children's Museum of Juno Beach was born. After another incarnation in 1990 the current space that houses the center was opened in 2007. The new green facility includes research labs, a veterinarian clinic, classrooms, exhibit halls, outdoor rehabilitation tanks, and a gift shop. They suggest a $5 per person donation to tour the center. While suggested it is by no means mandatory. The money you donate and spend in the gift shop is used to help the turtles. If you look on their web site you can see a list of the current turtle patients as well as view them through a turtle cam. Another way you can help the turtles is by financially sponsoring a specific turtle. Also on the web site is a calendar listing all kinds of events like kids programs, tours, birthday parties, story times, and camps. In keeping with Eleanor's original idea to educate the children in order to ensure the sea turtles survival the center offers a lot of great kids programs.

Although sadly Eleanor is no longer with us the effort to save sea turtles lives on through the vision she had to create this amazing center. Inspired by her love for the sea turtles you can come here and see an army of volunteers carrying on her precious work. Thanks to Eleanor Juno beach has one of the most active sea turtle nesting areas in the entire world!

This place is not only beautiful, but the staff is friendly, caring, well educated and provide an amazing amount of information. The actual place is not large, but well worth it. Behind the institute there is a park for the kids and beach access. Our family absolutely loved it!

This place started with the beat of intentions.......

This place started with the beat of intentions.... now they run it like a business. They have turtles sponsored by Tiffany & CO.... they even have the gall to call Ted Turner a "environmentalist". Turtles are in tiny tanks.....some are sick and need this.... I understand that. Don't get me started on the amount of plastic stuff in the gift shop.

This place is there to give the perception of making a difference, it is a business.... their main sponsor is the reason most of the turtles are there!!!! According to a sign outside they have raised millions of dollars last year.... but the money is allocated for building development....the turtles are still in tiny tanks with no vegetation or anything.

I had my hopes sky high for this place and when I asked the staff about some of these inconsistencies..... they told me I was wrong and dismissed everything I said. I work in the environmental field and it truly is a passion of mine.

This organization is doing so much for the turtles that it is a must see if you are in the area. Young, old and in between will find this a treasure. Every time I go, they have added new information, and the volunteers are so well versed in their info.

Small educational aquarium type area, gift shop has really cool items. There is also a snack bar.

Outdoors is the sea turtle hospital area! They have many little pools for the recovering turtles to live in. The volunteers have been super friendly and educational on each of our visits. They do not charge an admittance fee, but do request a $5 per person donation. Highly recommended!

Awesome place to bring the kids. Free to get in (though they do ask for donations). The volunteers are very nice and happy to answer any questions. They also are very engaging. You can see into their hospital quarters which is cool. If you follow the path around the building it will bring you to a playground, and if you continue on that path through the parking lot behind their building it will bring you to a tunnel that goes under the road and straight onto the beach. It's literally a five minute walk. My kids had a great time and we didn't have to spend a penny. They also have a cute gift shop, but prices are way to expensive.

One of my favorite places to be and to take friends from out of town. I love the work they do and the compassion they show to the turtles they find and rehabilitate. They have great outreach and educational programs and truly bring awareness to the endangered nature of sea turtles and their ecosystem. It's great that you're able to see so many turtles up close and can look into the turtle hospital room through the glass to watch them clean and sometimes treat turtles.

Quick note: Lots of construction going on but it doesn't impinge on the experience as far as I have seen during my visits!

A bit of a walk in the Florida heat to get to the entry during construction, but worth it! This is always a spot I bring my my out of town guests. I love seeing the turtles and chatting with the friendly staff about them. Really well stocked gift shop with a good selection of eco-friendly, high quality brands. The expansion of the building is exciting and I can't wait to visit again when construction is done to see!
