Went here with 2 French and 1 Spanish student.they all loved the tour.
Most enjoyable tour.staff very hard working and Friendly.Tour guide Colm very good and Funny.Great place to bring all the Family.fair play to the owners for making a business out of it. to bring in more visitors for the Summer they should hold family friendly Bbqs as its a fantastic outside Space with Covered seating.Views are Spectacular.Would highly recommend a visit.
My son Andrew got lost in this place and I was very scared. But I found him in the toilet. This place is amazing and so cool! It's so scary as well. Would recommend.
It was like going to dinner theater instead of a haunted house. And the worse part was they would not let us take photos of the lovely stairs or anywhere inside the house.
The grounds were beautiful and the tour (actor) guide was very entertaining
Very fun trip, especially with a group. Very interesting and informative tour guides, will be going back again for the longer tour.
Great tour. Well worth a visit and kids aged 4-10 loved it
Loved loved loved Loftus Hall highly recommend this place
Very good place to visit. Tour was well worth it even for a local like me.
Super Halloween experience, bit of history told in a scary way. Good for families, you won't get bored. Little coffee shop on site. Stunning scenery. 4 stars overall.
Haunted House Tour! Visit if you can, beautiful area, creepy house that offers tours. Amazing history. Has Cafe and giftshop too.
Beautiful beach, grounds and a fabulous canopied seating area.food also to a very good standard The Tour and guides are excellent and bring the history of the House to life
Nice place to visit for history. Still need improvement inside to match the story.
The tour guide P is a funny guy and full of information and he is passionate of the Loftushall.
Definitely a must visit if your staying near hook head. Great craic, and the whole house has fantastic atmosphere, can't wait until they have the whole place renovated so the tour will be bigger.
A very impressive location with an interesting history. The guide we had was very funny and a good storyteller
I brought my 8 year old son here but he decided not to do the tour as he found it a bit too scary. We were denied access to the bathroom by the lady on reception as we were not partaking in the tour, eventhough I explained that the child needed to use the facilities! Her only advice was to go to the lighthouse (at least a mile away) where there are public toilets. Not the kind of behaviour that would entice me to return!
GET THE BRENNANS BACK!!
Loftus Hall which markets itself as Ireland's most haunted house is blessed with finding itself situated on the Hook Peninsula which is a mecca for tourists. Surrounded by the sea and adorned with beautiful gardens, it's a lovely place to visit. However there is something missing here which leaves visitors scratching their heads in wonderment. Loftus is heavily marketed towards first time visitors curious about the rich history . However once you've done the tour you're not going to go back on a regular basis. And if you are a local just looking for a coffee or a bite to eat the 4 entrance fee is a bit steep. Granted, the entrance fee allows access to the spectacular gardens and on a fine day there is no better way to spend an hour than admire the beautiful borders. They have a lovely Cafe, sheltered courtyard with a bbq area which was noticeably empty. I really feel that they are missing a trick here and one should be able to go to the cafe without being charged an entrance fee. The cafe itself did not have a huge selection, mainly cakes and coffee. Another missed opportunity, maybe the owners could have an amazing kitchen garden which supplies the cafe.
I have never been here or Ireland but my ancestors owned the hall before it became Loftus.
Good experience nice people ,good food , spooky stuff and a garded 10/10 would do again
Excellent experience. Beautiful house. The staff really care about the place and it shows in what they do. Aidan the owner is a great guy and his knowledge of the history of the place is fantastic. I urge everyone to pay a visit and do the tour!
The tour guide was rather good on the day I visited and the cool lightning inside makes it worth a visit. Not exactly wheelchair accessibility to all areas of the house however the tour guide will make compromises if nesacary.
Went on the adult Halloween tour and was left disappointed as we were expecting more facts and more of a serious tour rather then a dress up scare tour, would of been much more spooky without all of the acting and characters. And instead just a tour guide explaining the history, Wasn t advertised properly, cool place though.
Once again.
Something that was good being ruined by being over commercialised.
We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide was very informative and the house is CREEPY. Some really spooky things happened to us while we were there and even throughout the evening when we were back in Wexford. The locals completely believe the place is haunted too. I recommend watching the Ghost Adventures episode after you go. It will FREAK you out. Still gives me the chills nearly 2 years later!!
Loved it, the tour was amazing, Colin was great and kept the tour really interesting. Brilliant all round
Interesting - worth a visit, gardens are nicely restored....house and tour are not super but will get better with investment.
Fascinating place with an interesting history. Tour is informative although with some young kids on it I think the guide tactfully toned scary things down slightly.
The venue is a treasure albeit almost derelict and I admire what they're trying to achieve with the on going restoration project. Beautiful location too.
Visited in May with the family and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a great story with this house and our guide on the day created a great atmosphere. If you are looking for a 'thrill ride' then look elsewhere. The house is what it is; a great family outing.
An absolute brilliant experience I could not recommend it any higher..
Couldn't go inside but it looks scary from outside. So worth a try
I love it here. Did many tours. Each one was excellent
Loftus Hall is worth a visit - Brilliant tour guides - Seasonal opening
Absolutely rediculous u have to pay 4 in to buy a cuppa in cafe wouldn't recommend at al an the tour guide was a snore fest ireland most boring not haunted certainly not worth the long drive in a hot car never again
To be honest you should of left the place the way it was.. now it has tour guides and zip lines for kids.. how is the spooks ment to work? Every sacred or haunted place is ruined by commercialising it. (Making money)
Fun horror tour suitable for all of you go during the day.
Loved the tour with the guide. Informative and entertaining. Great interaction.
Always meant to go here. What has been achieved so far is impressive. Nice entrance and cafe. The tour felt a bit short but I'm sure there will be more to see in the future. Excellent tour guide
Really interesting place to visit. Reasonably priced.
Tourist trap done insensitively as to wreck the experience by charging into the car park, blocking parts of the exterior of the building with giant posters and boards and constructing a poorly thought out extension museum on to the back. Skip the cafe.
Absolutely highly recommend a visit,
%.
Well worth a visit.. there are not many buildings with such a haunted history and it's well presented.. there are tours of the house available through the summer. Nice coffee shop to relax and regain your nerve. Well worth a visit..
Such a fantastic tour ,our guide Joe was very entertaining and had a great knowledge of the house , definitely worth a visit.
The basic tour cost 13 euro and for this you only get to see the ground floor.
Finally got around to doing the Loftus Hall tour. Cost is 13 but well worth it. Guided tour gives the history of the house as well as interacting with customers to reprise the fateful event that took place there one night when a dark stranger came to stay. Can't say much about it so take the tour yourself. House is in a very bad state of disrepair so any funds received are very welcome. There are wonderful walled gardens which are currently being extended. Modern tea room with salads, etc and pastries/desserts available.
The tour guide was pleasant and friendly. She was happy to answer any questions. The tour itself was interesting and informative. The time seemed to pass by quickly as I was interested in all aspects of the house and the history, it was anything but boring. It is not over priced either to enter.
The cafe was refreshing afterwards. Well worth a visit.
Fabulous place with a tour well worth going on when visiting the hall
Did the tour with Loftus hall , unfortunately due to the Virus the tour is limited on what it can offer. A must see though ,as it is an interesting story and good to see such a spooky old house
Booooooo, watch out for the spirits when you go inside, no not the ones you drink, woooooooooooooooooo!
Tours are brilliant here lovely food and beautiful walled garden worth the visit and views are amazing
Guide was very informative...building cool. Stories were interesting....family fun....
Great tour, myself and the family really enjoyed it.
The guide was so interesting on the tour he reallg made the story of loftus hall come to life. Worth the money would love to see the building fully restored to the public. A nice cafe where you can get a cuppa after the tour. Breath taking views outside make this a worthwhile place to visit in the sunny South East.
I visited it recently it was a real creepy old house full of history and ghosts.it was so cold one could feel the presence of something.would have liked to see up stairs ,only down stairs open to the public.well worth the visit.would love to see it restored to its former beauty.
Great storytelling there. They really bring the place to life.
It was very enjoyable, we went with 5 kids aged from 8-15 and everyone enjoyed it.
This Lotfus Hall house is interesting, very beautiful and charming, the personal women and men at the service of kindness and cordiality have their customers. Casa Stegata is the home of the devil, legends derive from the real life and death of Anne Tottenham e. Charles Tottenham
Though I found the tour was over really quickly and didn't exactly give me that trill I was seeking it was a great road trip down, and great to see the castle itself! Tour guides do a great job, definitely worth the experience! But I did want more... then what I got!
