The first time we stayed here we were offered a room in the main lodge. The room was nice with minimal issues. This time, we were offered a room in the Seasons Bay section This section of the lodge is unkept and poorly maintained. There are spider webs all over the main hallways, no elevator in the building and the blinds in the room is very dirty. But the worst part is, the shower head is covered in mold and this is very disgusting! Two stars because when we stayed at the main lodge it was a great experience. This time around I am very disappointed, and we will not return. Picture of the moldy shower head attached.

The staff were very rude and resistant to help. 1) We were told we would have a room with a view of the lake; unfortunately this does not even exist in the Avila suites. 2) When we called to inquire about a few amenities in the rooms to know how to pack for food, cooking utensils, etc. we were treated as though we were wasting their time; wish I had simply cancelled the reservations then. 3) When we checked in we reiterated that we needed cooking supplies for our two suites and were assured that we were good to go. When we got to the room, no such supplies (pans, plates, utensils, etc. After calling two more times, they brought them right up (4 hours later). 4) We rented a boat and asked if we could dock it for a few hours while we ate in their on-site restaurant. We were told to park in one very specific spot. After we parked, we were told to move to an adjacent spot due to a lack of communication. 5) Never eat at HK's! We spent on average $60 per person to eat mediocre cold food and waited for ~60 minutes for our checks (after a very long wait for our drinks and food despite the fact that there was only 1-2 other tables). The checks were incorrectly printed, and the system crashed while they were reprinting. Instead of trying to accommodate our needs any other way, the manager decided it was appropriate to simply write our card numbers with their expiration dates on the receipt to run them at a later time. When we asked to speak to the manager, we were told that 'she was too busy to come to our table at the moment'. When we tried to speak to any manager on duty that evening we were simply told to come back the next day to speak with Justin Taylor, who conveniently doesn't arrive to work until around check-out time.

I will not attend this, so called, resort in the future.

I was there on business. The room was large and clean, and the staff was very friendly. If it weren't so cold, I would have played a round of golf. I would love to go back on vacation one day!

Our room was in the remodeled section, but still has a mildew/mild smell which aggravated my allergies. The bathroom floor was grimy and generally funky. When we asked about another space, they didn t seem to care or even care the rooms are not acceptable. At breakfast, all of the sugar packets were wet and some had dried coffee stains. When we asked for some new packets, we never received them and the staff never came back except to deliver the check.

Water fall in the lobby leaks water into the carpe...

Water fall in the lobby leaks water into the carpet and it smells like mold, the carpet was partially pulled up and they had fans going. I had to switch rooms 3 times the night I stayed because they gave me a room with out a jacuzzi (which is what I booked and paid for) then the 2nd room had clogged plumbing in the jacuzzi, I washed it myself 4 times and bleached it but hair and slime kept coming up from the drain and I never did get to use the tub and I got shocked when I put my hand in the tub initially. I noticed some electrical concerns in the water fall in the lobby, they had a plug laying in the water resting on the rocks (see pictures) and one weird thing about the water that I noticed is it was slimy in the shower, like there was too much water softener in it and it was dirty feeling, I've never had water feel that gross before. In the bathroom for the first room the door was partially burned from the heat lamp in the bathroom and the worst part of the room is there was feces on the bedding. At 11 PM I noticed the feces because I was just getting ready to lay down after not being able to use the jacuzzi, I called the front desk and told them then they put me in a 3rd room and that room had a broken heater and it was a very cold night, the toilet was clogged and wouldn't go down when we got into the room, there was a floss pick and a used shampoo on the floor as well. Also, what they call water front on their website, is not at all. The best you get is the parking lot and when looking past that you can see the lake behind a bunch of trees and stuff (see pictures). Additionally, they accidentally held 150.00 in deposits on my card and they were only supposed to hold 50.00, they actually put 50.00 through with out telling me then when I spoke with Ethan about the whole experience he refunded everything to my card and he was polite.

Not very happy at all. First off, they don't bother to dust their closet doors so our entire stay I was having an allergy attack. Then to discover rat feces all around the vending and ice machines!! That was enough for me! I don't understand how management or housekeeping hasn't seen this and taken care of the problems. Maybe they have and just don't care.

Absolutely LOVE coming here even if it is only once a year! The service is amazing. The only thing I would say is step it up on the coffee game. I feel like the flavors should be mixed better or something, for it being 5 or 6 bucks for a 15 oz.

Booked a final weekend at the lake with our family. Showed up to find out the indoor pool was closed for maintenance. A huge reason we booked at the hotel was for our kids to be able to swim indoors. I booked directly from their website and there was no notice the indoor pool would be closed. I'm told the outdoor pool is still open. Saturday after dinner at 9pm we head down to let the kids have a final swim in the outdoor pool. Pool is closed. I ask the front desk why the gates are locked and they tell me a storm is coming in. The storm is over an hour away and there is no lightning or a cloud in the sky. Needless to say, we won't be back

My friends and i were very upset with our stay. the lobby was full of trash, crumbs, food and dirt - even in the morning it was empty but still trashed. We reserved a room for four people and our room was only stocked with enough towels for two people, the bathroom floor had a lot of visible dirt that looked like it had accumulated over time giving me the impression that the floor was rarely cleaned, most of the ice machines were empty, no fresh towels by the pool and the room lacked simple amenities such as a microwave. finally our do not disturb sign fell off in the night and we were woken up shortly after 9am by a worker, whom i'm assuming was aware we were in the room because he knocked for approximately 2 minutes straight until we finally got up and answered the door, he then demanded to know when we would check out. $170 for a room no continental breakfast and limited options for food which were mediocre at best. Also I find it curious that the negative reviews have been buried with such eloquently written reviews saying the exact opposite of myself and the majority's experience and highly recommend taking a look at yelp for more accurate reviews before you pay a lot of money for a dirty hotel and bad service. I also contacted customer service about my experience and I didn't hear a word back.

I thought it was going to be very busy with a lot of kids but it wasn't. Our stay was nice and quiet, we were able to have a nice and peaceful time. The lodge has a lot to offer for a big or small group. There were multiple pools, kidtopia, free in house movie theater, arcade room and beautiful views of the lake. I loved just walking around the property. The rooms were nice a clean. The location is close to plenty of places to eat and had on site dining and room service! I only hate that because they aren't very busy during the week a lot of boat rental places went really doing any cruises until the weekend. We didn't know you needed a license to rent anything on the water but next time we know . We would definitely go back!

The staff are great the rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurants in the hotel are a bit high for what you get. The complimentary valet is really great though. We have been here two years in a row and have had a blast overall. The air conditioning system needs overhauled. It struggled to keep up this year due to the high heat. We will come back to the for seasons we will just bring more food with us next time.

The resort itself was pretty nice but we stayed in Season's Bay, their more budget friendly rooms and were disappointed. Especially since we paid a good price, we were expecting better than a Holiday Inn. The picture on the internet makes it seem really nice when in reality everything but the bed is outdated. It felt smaller than normal too. It did have a nice view of the lake however.

Oh there are no words for Seasons Bay! Just awful! Upon entering I was mortified, flies everywhere, bathroom outdated! Not somewhere I wanted to spend my 1st wedding anniversary! Paid to upgrade, got to 5th fl of main building, some type of convention tweens everywhere! I will never forget my horrid 1st anniversary!

I travel on a regular basis and I m having a hard time understanding how this is a 4 star resort. My spouse and I came on a weekend getaway and we re disappointed. The resort could use an update. No outdoor dining available and lack of staff wearing masks during Covid was disheartening. Not all bedding provided and minimal toiletry supplies for our room. Very slow service when needed in response to issues.

On June 17, 2019, I accidentally left my dress in room 6226 when we checked out. When I called the next morning to let them know I will pay to have it shipped back to me they told me the housekeeper didn t find it. It s obvious the housekeeper found it. Either the housekeeper or someone else kept (stole) it. I pray the person who has my dress will feel guilty & do the right thing & return my call to let me know they will send it back to me. I was going to reward the person by sending them a gift card for doing the right thing (sending it back to me) but since they didn t do the right thing I believe in karma. I m disappointed in the person who found my dress. It s sad people can t do the right thing.

I do not recommend this resort. I have never reviewed a hotel before, so to give this one a rating; and one that is so low, is because I truly want to warn others not to stay here. We originally booked the king room in the season's bay portion of the hotel. The room was very dirty, including chipped paint in the bathtub. It's much smaller than the pictures depict with yellowed bedding. When we complained the only option they offered was a double queen bed in their Avista section for $80 more a night (no they wouldn't honor the original rate). We paid the difference only to get a 2nd room with very dirty carpets, yellowed sheets (I wish I could post photos). The TV mounted on the wall was the size of a computer monitor (much smaller than the original room we had). And the lighting is just two small wall lamps (no others) so the room was very dark. There is more to share that made the trip so unpleasant; but I will leave it there. I do not recommend this resort.

The staff are contagiously jovial. Everything is exactly what we asked for. The view of the lake was perfect. They were patient with all of our requests. The drinks were great. I think with the price of everything the food could be a little better quality. But otherwise it's been a wonderful place to stay.

This place is really great! As an attender of a social event and an overnight guest, I was pleased. I've been here before, and it has been updated since I've been here, which is really nice! The pools were great, giving options if you want something more quiet, or if you want a party. I would recommend this place.

We booked this trip through travelzoo last minute ...

We booked this trip through travelzoo last minute because our vacation started Friday. We are actually staying home the rest of the time to Spring clean, but thought a couple of nights away would be a good thing. It was amazing. We pulled up to the resort and two of the employees opened our car doors and asked if we wanted complimentary valet parking. My husband was going to wait for me in the car since we were early check-in, and so we declined. They both proceeded to hold the door for me as I walked in, and waited as I checked in . I know this seems silly to even comment on, but I could not believe how cordial they were. I had been driving with the windows down for over two hours and was wearing shorts with holes and hair that was a complete mess. They did not bat an eye and they welcomed us like we were royalty. We were given a room that was ready, and when we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised. I have lived in St. Louis all of my life and in high school the Lodge of the Four Seasons was very exclusive. I was happy they have kept up with their rooms, their lobby and their amenities. I am not saying you cannot tell it is dated. Of course you can. However, they are on top of the renovations. The rooms were obviously painted and refreshed over time and the rest of the lodge was very clean and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and the flat screen tv was huge. We watched movies in their cinema both nights and had a wonderful time. I have read reviews about the cinema being old and playing dvds, but that is silly. The movies are FREE. How many hotels have this option? We were able to bring our own snacks, pop our popcorn and watch two great movies at the end of a long, overly playful day. It was perfect. We also swam in their indoor/outdoor pool all three days and had a great time. It was a lot of fun this morning to go under the windows and swim a lap outside with the heat rising off of the pool. We had the best time we have had in a while, and will definitely go again. My only recommendation to the management is this: give out the activities and movie schedule upon check in. Once I realized we did not have a list in our room, I had to wait in line twice for information. Not a big deal, but still time consuming. If you have it in the rooms or hand it out during check in, you would be 5 star plus!

I had a spacious room with a single bed. Mattress was firm, which I liked, and is unusual in my experience as most hotels go for softer matresses. Had a patio with a fan where you could sit out and look on the lake. Also had a hot tub and walk-in shower in the bathroom. Everything was clean and pleasant. Lodge itself was big with lots of meeting halls and rooms of various sizes. There's an arificial creek that runs through the biggest hall and provides some nice ambiance.

The hotel was beautiful and bed was very comfy. I honestly don t know if I would stay again though especially with kids because the rooms were Definitely NOT sound proof! one night we actually had to call the desk because our neighbors were cursing up a storm and didn t even sound like yelling. The next night and early morning was a new couple who ummm... didn t keep anything quiet during intimacy if my kids were there being woken up by that, I would not be happy. Not even having the Tv up fairly loud helped! We could hear most conversations on both sides of our room . I want to be able to come to my room and relax

Room was small. We had no hot water one morning from 9:00 to11:00 AM. We spoke with desk about TV wasn t working. They said they would send somebody to fix it no one every showed to fix the TV. The water in our stool ran constantly. Had to repair ourselves. No one from maintenance came to fix problem. After three days of this we checked out. They charged my credit card for the fourth night because we didn t cancel our reservation early enough. One day we didn t get house until 4:00 in the afternoon. We had to ask front desk finally to send housekeeping to our room. Food was way overpriced. We are now disputing fourth day charge. Will never stay at this resort again. It basically ruined our vacation.

The beds are super comfy and the rooms have great views. The rooms were sort of poorly equipped: there was only 1 trash can (which meant no bathroom trash), no mini fridge or microwave, and the room didn't have enough coffee but the staff was helpful with refilling it on request.

I will say that for a dog-friendly hotel this place can't be beat (for the price, especially). I was really happy with that aspect of it and would stay here again for that fact alone!

We stayed in a newly renovated room in the main lodge. It was beautiful, with a great view! The fire pit in the lobby is lovely, and the on site restaurant HK's is super fancy. Beware of getting too many tasty drinks, as the bar is rather pricey. We went during the off season and found everything to be very charming. The staff was apologetic about the renovations, but it's par for the course with the off season and keeping the resort up to date. Would definitely recommend.

The resort itself had many options, and was large enough to be acceptable and nice. There were many places to drink and music and a pool and a Japanese garden so that was wonderful, however, the room that we stayed in was not part of the main building, and the walls were so thin, you could hear splashing in the pool outside as if you were sitting right next to it. People were talking loudly and you could hear every word. The lobster tails at HK were absolutely terrible. However the drinks in the club on the property were delicious! Everything does seem a bit dated, but I like nostalgia so that's okay. For the price it beats staying at a regular hotel. But if you really want to go for an awesome room stay at what used to be The Horny Toad... It will cost you much more though.

Great view, upset that someone staying in the room next to us paid was less then we did for the same room! Cleanliness was not really that great, the floor looked like it needed vacuumed and there was smudges all over the mirrors. Found hair in the bathroom tub and even had some bugs crawling around in there Beds were comfortable. We liked that there was different pools to go to on the resort and also ways to get down to the beach and fire pits provided! Took us awhile to find our room the front desk told us the wrong building, we also couldn t find our ice machine in the building. I enjoyed my time in the Ozarks but not sure if we will be staying here again
