My wife and I don't stay in hotels very often, so when we do we like to try to stay at a nice place. We were very excited for our one night stay at The Lodge of Four Seasons! We ended up being very disappointed with our stay. The room was filthy. Our pillows, bedding, and towels all had visible stains on them. The handle on our shower was loose and would not turn on so we were forced to shower in the sink. The hotel was dated and run down in places. We approached a manager about our stay and he put the blame on us for our filthy room. He said that we should have called housekeeping to get new pillows, towels, and blankets. We ended up getting a 15% refund for the broken shower and were told "this is not the Four Seasons, we are privately owned". I would suggest finding another hotel if you are coming to the lake. I know we will.

The rooms off the main building are in need of an upgrade!!! Food delivery will not deliver on that sude of the resort. The restaurant staff is extremely slow and not once in 5 days did they get any of our orders correct. You have to walk a mile to get to an opened restaurant on the premises and to an ice machine. The hotel staff is nice a d quick to respond to any request. The views to the lake are lovely.

We stayed in the Avila building. We needed a cart to bring all of our stuff up to the 5th floor. After searching each floor we did not find a luggage cart and there was no one else moving about. It appeared the next day.

The room was clean. Not all of the power outlets worked. The light in the shower didn't work one day but did the next. We didn't use daily room service so this was odd.

I was very unhappy to find that there was no refrigerator and no microwave. What kind of resort doesn't have these amenities? Oh, yet they do have a doorbell for the unit and also a small TV over the vanity in the bathroom. Why? We really needed the refrigerator and microwave.

I went to get ice. No ice machine on the 5th floor. I found an ice machine on the 4th floor but it didn't pump ice at all (I checked two days). The next ice machine is on the 2nd floor. It had all the ice you could want. What kind of resort doesn't have a working ice machine on each floor?

Those are my biggest complaints. It is a nice looking resort hotel but the coffee and food prices at the hotel was very overpriced. Makes a person wonder if the no refrigerator and microwave forces tenants to buy their outrageously expensive food, coffee, etc.

The sidewalks were dangerous, had huge cracks. I fell and skinned my hand and elbow and hurt my hip. When I went in to tell the desk clerks, they were very UNCONCERNED. Didn't even offer me a bandaid. I found out another lady had fallen also. The next day they were out fixing the cracks. So hopefully noone else will fall.

The entire stay was great until housekeeping came to change our sheets on the bed and my wife and I discovered a huge yellow stain on the mattress. Disgusting. Then the housekeeping state "I will put more sheets and bed liners on the mattress for you." We were appalled, no guest should sleep on a mattress that looks like that. We were moved to another room and given a breakfast pass for the next day, unacceptable plus the breakfast restaurant Breeze is nasty. Do not eat there.

I was looking forward to a nice stay however the staff was disruptive to my group and ended up canceling the ballroom we had booked, while we were there. The staff also threatened to over charge all guests in my group as well. I think the reviews and the low ratings for this hotel really speak for themselves. To anyone wanting to book a stay here, think before you act and consider any of the other hotels right next to the four seasons.

Had a conference here and had to switch rooms as there were dirty towels in the room on the floor and urine in the toilet. There were others that had room issues as well, like tile from the shower walls on the bottom of the tub. I don't know if I would go back.

I called to make a reservation, was told that the people I need to talk to aren't in yet, call back at 9. I called back at 9 and was told the people I need to talk to are busy, so they'll give me a call back. I waited 3 hrs and did not receive a call back. I called back to follow up, they told me that the booking people didn't work on weekends, but that I can talk to a manager who will do the booking for me. I then was referred to the manager who told me that she couldn't and I need to call back on a week day. All I wanted to do was book a room. Awful customer service, was given the run around.

Great hotel. Not a fan of them removing the piano, but everything else is nice. Need service on their elevators (shook and dropped a lot), and room service got our order very wrong (they said they ran out of the requested items after they brought them, but all the vending machines were out on every floor too), but the items delivered were good. Just a bummer to pay for something we didn't order. Hks was awesome though, both for breakfast and a high end dinner. Only Pepsi products seems to be available, which is a bummer.

THIS IS NOT A FOUR SEASONS HOTEL. Don't get me wro...

THIS IS NOT A FOUR SEASONS HOTEL. Don't get me wrong, I was confused too and there are lots of reasons to think that it is, but it is the Lodge at the Four Seasons - Four Seasons being the name of the area. Is the restaraunt called HK confusing people thinking it's Hella Kitchen? Definitely. But to the defense of the resort their restaraunt was opened long before Hells Kitchen existed.

If you are reading reviews of people that are disappointed you are reading reviews of those that thought this was a Four Seasons. Was it perfect like a Four Seasons? No. Were there things that needed updating that would never exist at a Four Seasons? Definitely. Are you looking at anywhere near a Four Seasons typical price? Hell no!

This resort is reasonable and worth what you'll pay. Great location, reasonable rental rates for boats or jet skis attached to the resort, great pool, and great pool. The other plus - beers are like $6 at the pool bar - good luck at a Four Seasons you'll be paying $12 a drink.

The downsides? Due to covid they only have one or two restaraunts open during the week, and to be honest the food sucks. It's ok to feed you if you want fries or a sandwich but if you're looking for your vacation meal go elsewhere. Apparently the restaraunts open on the weekend are great but we were just here for a few weekdays. The good news though - the location is so good there are a few great restaraunts nearby (under 10 min drive).

The staff seem hit or miss - guy who checked me in, incredible - very friendly awesome to talk to. One of the dudes at the pool bar was meh, but the gal there was awesome and very helpful.

All in all I would go back , especially for what I paid, and I would probably rent as boat instead of just a jet ski next time. There are also very reasonably priced helicopter tours a ten minute drive away.

Don't go here expecting good food or a Four Season resort (yet mysteriously 75% cheaper than every Four Season resort on earth) and you will have no disappointments. It would be 5/5 if they had a reasonable choice of food during the week.

From the fourth floor views of the lake to separate shower bath combo this Lodge is great. Great staff. Even at 4am they were able to bring extra pillows and towels for the showers. TV in the bathroom was kinda strange altho I go we never used it.

Our group had two rooms only down side was our 2nd floor bed was a little hard for my back. Besides that a great place for a weekend getaway with shnaz and elegance.

Staying M-TR, but ended up with a parking lot/roof view. Figured during non peak days at least a nice view would be possible with basic room. 55" tv is great, but none of the channels are formatted for that size..and picture quality is very poor. Not that I'm here for tv...but misleading advertising. $50 per night ON TOP of the actual rate...handcuffs my credit card. Long trip, late night and just kind of disappointing so far with the room.

Nothing like the pictures. Got put in a room in the rundown part of the resort when I thought I'd be in the main Lodge. The ceiling had water damage, tub had paint pealing up, smelt very musty. When I went to the front desk they denied the fact that their pictures are misleading and that the room was poorly kept.

Paper thin walls making it impossible to get good rest due to the noise from neighbors, severely outdated rooms, inconsistent water pressure and temperature, and small beds. Nice staff and close to restaurants, but I don t plan to stay here again and wouldn t recommend it.

I was hesitant to pay this much for a room and stay here based on the mixed reviews, but I'm glad I stayed there. Receptionists were extremely nice and the hotel had many beautiful places to see. I truly enjoyed this place and would definitely stay there next time.

Cara let us check out multiple rooms before we decided which one we wanted to stay in, and helped us to get the best rate online. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel itself has great views, and beautiful scenery inside and out. Loved the indoor/outdoor pool and arcade. We will definitely be back !

Imagine a cold December night, you pull up to the lobby to register. Upon exiting your car you hear familiar Christmas music playing inside and out. You can smell the smoky fragrance of the fire, which greets you crackling in the central fireplace of the cozy main lodge that is tastefully decorated for the holidays. You instantly feel welcome. Enjoy a great customer service experience upon check in and proceed to a large, clean room decorated nicely and CLEAN. Proceed to explore the huge waterfall in the atrium that is well maintained and beautiful. Enjoy a drink at the bar open until one and then enjoy a romantic dinner dimmly lit at HK's restaurant off the main lobby($$$.) The kids can enjoy a kids zone, a free theater playing Christmas movies, arcade, indoor pool and huge hot tub. Great breakfast buffet in the morning with a great wait staff. All-in-all, a very quaint and enjoyable weekend stay.

We spent $399 a night for a luxury, 2 bedroom condo for 3 nights. When we arrived to our room we discovered the carpet was soaked from a cleaning and it was in poor condition (I have photos). They told us we couldn t move rooms because they were booked. They offered us free drinks at the pool and a free dinner at the restaurant while they fixed the problem. Their solution was placing two box fans in the room. I acccepted this solution. Later I found out it was one free drink and a $100 credit to the restaurant (the bill was almost $200 after the four of us had dinner). I travel a lot for business. I ve paid a lot less for much nicer accommodations. Also there was a lot of dust in places there shouldn t be (tops of head boards, intake vents, tops of ledges, etc...). Stay somewhere else.

Would not recommend if you are looking for a "reso...

Would not recommend if you are looking for a "resort". Rooms are roughly $100 a night and it was maybe worth half that.

1. We asked for a king sized bed and received two full sized. My boyfriend and I cannot sleep comfortably squished onto a full sized. When asking if we could switch, they said they had none left.

2. There was no hot water when I took a shower. I turned it on full blast and the water was maybe luke-warm at best.

3. There was supposed to be a pool designated as an "indoor/outdoor pool overlooking the lake for people with spa reservations." The pool did not have a view of the lake, it had a view of some trees and when you could see to the water it was just a dock. There was also always kids in the heated whirlpool or noisy individuals blasting music. When someone tells me it's for people with spa reservations I expect this to be cut off from the others and deemed as a quiet location.

4. We bought a spa package of (2) 50-minute massages. By the time my lady got me back to the room it was 10 minutes into my appointment time and she ended early, creating it to only last 30 minutes. There was also supposed to be a meditation room, but this shared a wall with the pool mentioned above so if there were any kids or music playing, there was way too much noise to actually relax.

Needless to say, we were disappointed and will not be returning.

Not impressed. Lobby is fancy but don t be fooled. The rooms away from the lobby arent even as nice as a holiday inn. Dated tubs with turn stopper on the bottom of the tub and worn white spots on the bottom of the tub doesn t equal a 3 or 4 star hotel in my opinion. Stained towels. Very loud A/C unit for the size of room. Ugly, dirty, not 3 star light switches. Furniture had visible wear. Prices? Completely overpriced for what I m getting. Didn t do a good job of encouraging quietness from those outside. Upside? Spacious room is about all I can say. WiFi was spotty at best in my room and not high speed at all. I will not be staying here and incredibly disappointed. Insanely overpriced.

I m writing this review for anyone that is planning on staying at the Four Seasons Lodge. It is a very pretty Lodge, but we experienced a lot that went wrong. Booked our room 6 months in advance to get a room with a view of the lake, but we got a view of the roof. The manager did move us to a room that looks out over the marina and canal. Charged extra for the different room but after we complained about it they took it off. No hot water, when they cleaned our room they never swept the floor or changed our sheets, never had ice in the ice machine, and we took clothes to have them laundered, said it would be the next day, it took until the morning that we checked out (three days after handing them over) to get them back. The worst part was the noise! If you are staying here to have a quite and calming time don t stay here. Every night there was loud music playing by the pool and then they had parties on the rooftop that was so loud it vibrated the lamps in our room. We couldn t go down at night by the pool as a family because of the parting and crudeness of people. Talked to the management about it and they just said sorry. They make to much money renting parties out that people like us don t matter. We are just chump change to them. We made the best of it but we will never be back.

I was actually doing business at their Marina on the water. The grounds as well as the dock slips, and even the Marina restrooms were very clean and tidy. All the staff, and even the guests were very friendly and knowledgeable. All in all it was a pleasure doing business there.

We are locals and attend events at the lodge frequently. Friday we went to the magic and comedy show with TA Hamilton. The show was amateurish and boring. Seems like a nice guy but he needs to update his act, a lot. Just didn't seem to be at the lodges usual standard. Should have went to a movie instead, at least there would haves been some popcorn.

My wife and I were at the Lodge of The Four Season...

My wife and I were at the Lodge of The Four Seasons in August of 2017. We had read reviews prior to going, so we were somewhat prepared for what we saw. We just wanted to share a few thoughts for those who appreciate what others experienced, and just in case anyone in management at the resorts reads these reviews.
One of the really positives was the friendliness and helpfulness of the people at the front desk. A special shout out to Nicholas. Since we were unfamiliar with the resort, they let us go and checkout several avaliable rooms before we picked one. What they didnt tell us until after we moved all our stuff in, was that the air conditioner was broken in the room that we selected. Maintenance had reported it earlier. So we moved all of our stuff from a room with a view to a room with no view. The other thing that would probably be helpful training for the staff is to tell the guests that if your room number is 6233 - it's not on 6th floor as you would expect - it's on the 2nd floor. The floor number of the rooms starts with the 2nd number, not the first. That could save you some time.
It's an old resort. We knew that. However, it was still a little surprising that the room smelled so old. Fortunately my wife brought air freshener. My suggestion to the resort is that they replace the carpet in the the resort. It would greatly upgrade the looks and improve the atmoshpere a lot. A few other upgrades would be a fresh coat of paint and an upgrade of the lighting. Since the lighting was designed in the 50's, the are very few actual lights in a room other than lamps. That adds to to the dark outdated look. There were a few other quirks, but some of the things that would be most useful are things like: please train the staff in your main restaurant (HK). We were in there more than once and we were totally ignored. We waited in the bar area once for 10 minutes without even getting a hello from the servers. We moved from a table in the bar to the actual bar and still nothing. Several of the guests were talking to each other, trying to get menus from the hostess, etc. We finally left and ate at a nice restaurant down the street called Lil Rizzos. The servers at the Lodge seemed very self absorbed and not at all interested in providing good service. There may be a reason that the restaurant has a 3 point something rating.
Since we had recently stayed at Chateau On The Lake, where the bell stand / bellmen open the entrance doors for you, I couldnt help but notice that the guys at the Lodge just stand there and watch you open the door. Maybe that too is a difference between a 4 star resort and a 3.5.
There were other things like not getting fresh towels sometimes, not picking up the old towels etc, but I would say there are two things would really help the Lodge of the Four Seasons - train the staff to act like a four star resort, and do some upgrades to the facilities.

The resort was so beautiful & relaxing. We did a three night stay. HK's cuisine was so delicious. The Japenese gardens were extremely inviting for a sit down around a fire table. We stayed off season during the pandemic so other eateries were not open which was a bummer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

Lots of stuff to do. You can even go skeet shooting if you want! Room furniture could be updated but I'm not complaining. Bar had a neat atmosphere and room service food options were better than any hotel ive stayed in. Dean at the registration desk was awesome! Seriously, the guy needs a raise, I'm pretty sure he couldn't wait to help me in some way. Anyway, I've been to the other resorts and I will be choosing this one again in the future.

The location - right on the lake - is great. The lodge itself, including some of the polls and restaurants are updated and nice. Some of the areas, however, our room included, are old. It shows. There are many WiFi access points around the lodge and rooms, but unfortunately, they are unstable. Light email and browsing may be possible, but do not rely on it for anything else. Download shows for your kids ahead of time - streaming is not a reasonable option.
