If ever there was a sweat shop marketing firm, this is it... I would do anything to get off these unprofessional, scammers call list; but as soon as you ask, they hang up.

got a call from this company today. so he is explaining all the benefits if i go with his company and bla bla bla. while he's on the line I ask for his company name. i searched "Local Lighthouse SEO reviews". i tell the guy "First 10 reviews are 8 1 star and 2-5 stars, whats going on" well we have hatters and the just want to get ppl away from us. yes but this are your customers.

he goes, "well im searching your company and you have negative reviews too, so why are you complaining about my reviews." "sir i have one 3 star review, the rest are all 5 stars. and you know what, i decided to listen to you because i have 2 contracts sitting in my inbox and waiting for a 3rd. I need your service. the lowest quote is 3000 per yrs. and guess what" "yes sir we will get you in google yelp and bla bla bla first page asap." "you just got me to sign a contract but its not yours and that is for challenging me and telling me my company has bad reviews. have a blessed day

I almost became a victim of this company. I received a phone call that followed with an email that guaranteed they could get me to the top page of Google, Bing, and Yahoo. I decided to contact my rep at Hibu to inquire if this is possible...its not! Folks, if it sounds to good to be true, then it is!!! My rep told me " I m not sure how he is GUARANTEEING you first page of Google since he is not from Google. Be weary of anybody that guarantees you something like that. Our package is designed to get you to the first page because we are doing what Google recommends for best practices".
I am so glad that our conversations never went further and I didn't lose any money. They have two stars for a reason. Just read the reviews, and remember they CAN'T guarantee you anything!

OUT OF THE BLUE you people called our company stating u were GOOGLE, at the end of the sales pitch (after we have committed to this nonsense with my office manager) u said now we work with google. When we finally looked at our web site u built, looked like a bunch of corn fed hillbillies from another planet.
We have a large service company, your service in no way was helpful.

It was very difficult to cancel my services with this company and in doing so there is an early cancellation fee. I question them in regards to their Google reviews they said they could care less about their Google reviews.

Why do your employees call my cell phone (unsolicited and illegal by the way) and when I ask them (very politely) to tell me what company they are calling from, they hang up on me. Happened twice today. Very very rude.

This company is selling nothing more than scams. They repeatedly call our business after asking to be removed from their list (looks like I'm not the only one frustrated by this). They purposely try and misidentify who they are. Just terrible.

Local Lighthouse billing practices are dubious. After not being satisfied with my service, I closed my accounts for two business addresses. My invoices were paid directly from my citi bank account by automatic charge up until the date that I closed the accounts. Local Lighthouse continued to charge my bank after they closed my business accounts. I called back to complain. They agreed to close the account again and issue a refund check. To this day Local Lighthouse continues to present charges to my bank and I have not received the refund check yet. Unacceptable!

THis company calls my business several times a week, they refuse to take me off their call list. They make false statements about guaranteed top organic placement on Google, Yahoo & Bing. Beware of this company, they will harass you forever.

It is a SCAM. Why someone sues them? If someone take legal action against this company, I will be witness and willing to share the cost for attorney/court etc.

A guy named Dallon called me and convinced to sign up. I paid promptly. I was told that within 30- 90 days my company will be in the first page in Google, Bing and Yahoo.

90 days has been past, my business does not appear in even 90 page of Google. The "Local Parc" page they set up is false and it has false information and statements.

I was contacting them time to time for getting update. They responded my email once a while. Most of my email was ignored.

I signed the electronic paper "Docu Sign" in which it was mentioned in bold words that "30-90" days 1st page Ranking in Google, Bing and Yahoo.

One star is even too much for this cheater fraud company. After 90 days my business does not appear in even 90 page in search engine. They takes money automatically from my back account. I just notified my bank not to let them withdraw anymore.

I can't recommend this company because I paid them $100 and month and they did not bring me 1 sell !! Any other SEO company after a few months could of got me to $300 plus a month. Don't use this company !! There a rip off !!

This company didn't do what they said they would, they were charging my credit card monthly. They were claiming that the website was up and running but no one took the time to ask me or send it to me for approval. After several emails to customers service to make the changes the Web advertise was property management... I don't do this type of services
So I didn't have no other choice to cancel my credit card.

Words cannot express my disappointment. I COULD HAVE BURNED HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS IN THE WINTER TIME TO WARM MY GARAGE AND RECEIVED MORE VALUE THEN I GOT FROM THIS COMPANY. If you want something done right you have to do it yourself. Also, when i told them i wanted to cancel my services they had the nerve to try and pitch me again by cutting my billing in half and when i said to her politely "please mam, please just cancel whatever service you provide me" she got really snotty with me right before she hung up the phone with threats of "putting me back the way i was and get me canceled out". She had a nasty attitude behind her. Anyway they actually did get the last laugh because they got me out of $1,400 dollars and did'nt do not one dam thing to earn it!! Though if i where them i would be ashamed of myself...but im sure they are to busy getting petties to even care anyway. FREE AT LAST!!!!!

Honestly, I am embarrassed that I fell for this marketing scam. I went off of the advice from a guy I met at the gym who said his son owned the company and I needed help with my SEO. They have been completely unethical and I would run from them if possible. Stay away.

They lied about what they could do for my page. They listed information, incorrectly. I've spent 4 months trying to get this fixed. And yet I've been ignored on emails. And today, I finally spoke with someone who says they will fix my information. But it could take 4-5 days. And they still have other issues. They are only willing to give one month credit. Instead of a credit for the whole time that my information has been wrong....

LL has been Amazing Experience for me. The first website made me so much money I just opened my second location and they got my second website number 1 on Goggle in 47 days..So an Awesome company!!!

2. They Claim that will get you on to the 1st page of Google. Major false statement. Only 3 people in the Google Company can tell you how to get on the first page on Google and they are tide up on a non nondisclosure agreement that may look like Swiss Cheese.

Very bad company to deal with. They have charging me 99 from last two year and promising from that long I'll be on google search on first page. I don't know about current costumers but do not join or listen to there bs.

I would ignore the bad reviews haters put up. They have been dealing with my site for a long time now. I think 3 years. They have me on the front page with Google, Yahoo, et al. I am a window cleaning company in San Diego and competition in my work is FIERCE, but Lighthouse manages to still get my site up there despite this. Whenever I want changes on my site they get it done fast. Thanks Local Lighthouse. Great work.

In response to "Dark Arts Computing" This is no fake review. I am a customer of Local Lighthouse for years and I am very satisfied with their work. I take pleasure in complementing the work they have done for me. Local Lighthouse is a great SEO company. How can I prove I am not in the company and am a real customer? Maybe I can't for now. But I can't relate to all these bad reviews because I have had a great experience with them for some 3 years now.

SCAM! What they say vs what they do are two different things. Good luck getting your money back with their "satisfaction guarantee". Don't do it!

These people are a bunch of scammers. They claim to be google.....they've got bad review all over. You might have received a call this is jennifer taylor ....they calledme from many different numbers feom California to florida numbers....it's getting annoying to where I'm gonna file a law suite against them....tryn to see if i can join Google with their class action lae suit. My experience with LL has been exceptional.

I began using their SEO service 6 months ago for my computer repair business. Admittedly, the keywords that one would use in a search for my type of business, are all contained in my business name, so that helps. With that said, I was on the first page of Yahoo and Bing in about 6 weeks, and it took about 10 weeks to get on the first page of Google.

What impressed me the most however, was the friendliness of the numerous agents I contacted. These contacts were for general questions, and modifications I requested to my site. The agents were knowledgeable, eager to help, and the site changes were implemented promptly.

This company is a scam. They miss lead the business owner by claiming to be Google, Yahoo, Bing and by just trying to update their listing. But really they just want you to sign up with their service. They call 5 times a day till they get a hold of you and when you ask to be taken off the call list they never do it and keep calling. Ive spent over $1000 over the course of the program and never saw any results. This company sucks and its a waste of your money. They also claim to be multiple different companies to avoid bad reviews and to keep from being reported for harassing business owners. Do not fall for this companies lies like i have....

This is a very professional company that is great to work with. The bad reviews seem to center around how they initially contact companies, however, you will be very glad you chose them because they are the "Best" at what they do and If you don't want them that's fine but quit hurting companies that need their help by trashing their initial contact calls only. Horrible experience trying to cancel this service only a few days after signing. Mislead as to how the service worked. Once we discovered the service does not promote your site, we cancelled it right away, within a few days, no work had been done and they wanted to charge a fortune to cancel it and harassed our employees on cancelling the service. I hate that I even have to do this...but don't use these guys! Lies, fabrications, and contracts. I used them bc I didn't do my research :-( learn from my mistakes. If you really want to be successful NETWORK,use your SOCIAL MEDIA, go to the book store and invest in books on how to make your business successful. I actually highly recommend you to Invest your money into a book because It holds a better guarantee than "local lighthouse"!

Customer service doesn't respond half of the time and do not allow any user control what so ever over my clients websites.

This is a VERY slick organization. Avoid at all directions. They have very nice motivated people. My instincts tell me the sales people do not understand how disreputable Local Lighthouse is in the industry. Each person has a task and as you get passed around the sales process each person has a misrepresentation goal they are not aware of. They will promise a result Local Lighthouse can not deliver. In my case they promised top billing in Savannah which is NOT where my business is located. When they asked for my google login credentials I realized I'd been hoodwinked after I'd signed up and given payment information.

This number keeps dialling me and won't leave a message - when I call back I get an answering machine. If the owners are reading these reviews - which they seem to be - really consider overhauling your sales approach and customer service. I can assist you with that by the way...

Corrupt company who will scam you. DO NOT USE these thieves.

This company is the biggest scam and the service and sales reps mislead you. They convince you that they are giving you this free website and all it they give you is a landing site that will redirect people to your existing site. Sales rep (Chris Grieder) specifically told me that they make me a complete new website for my business and would no longer need my old site. This was completely false and despite other reps saying that he should not have told me that, there was nothing they could do to let me out of my contract. Worst customer service and business relationship I have encountered in my life. Do not sign anything with this company and if they call you simply hang up.

I have dealt with these people for about 5 years and was happy where I was positioned on google but now I have to leave their business and have asked for a small favor, a redirect. Similar to when you change phone carriers you take you number with you. They have refused to help in any way and say that if I don't want to experience any interruptions I should just stay with them. I now understand why they have such poor reviews. I can only say how disappointed I am to be treated so poorly after 5 years of paying my bill on time every month.

Ignore the bad reviews. This company created a great site. Of course there was minor adjustments to be made but the staff was courteous and updated the site in a timely manner. Local lighthouse has always been available and helpful. Thank you guys for the great service! Keep up the great work

I am giving them 1 star because there are no 0 stars. They are the worst company I have ever worked with. A scam to say the least. I was promised SEO, and especially an A through G listing which 8 months later never happened. My page ranked on the 5th page of google for 1 of the queries they provided. These people are below amateur level work. Their templates are poor and unsophisticated. Terrible customer service. If you complain enough they even offered to reduce my payment to $30 a month just to keep me paying for something that does not work. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM

This company has no regard for the "do not call" list setup by the FTC. They also ignore my requests to remove my number from their lists, and they often hang up on me when I try to ask the name of their company. Only twice have I been able to lie my way into getting them to actually say the name of their company when they cold-call me.

Worst experience I've ever had with an online company

I have received dozens of calls from this company advertising their services. They are calling my cell phone, which is not used for business purposes and, in fact, there is no business. I have submitted multiple complaints to the FCC and have requested multiple times to be removed from their calling list and I still keep receiving calls.

NOTHING BUT LOW LIFE SCAMMERS! These people are NOT from Google, Bing, etc. I have never done business with them, but they call relentlessly...sometimes 3 or 4 times a day from different numbers, cities, and states. When you press 1 to speak to a representative and ask them to take your number off their calling list, they hang up on you. I submitted a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission today. Hopefully they will do something about them....

THE WORST!!! If they get their hooks in you, they will not let go. I have asked them to cancel my account REPEATEDLY. They call and leave messages daily - sometimes several times daily. They are a nightmare! Do NOT get involved with them.

Maya is fantastic! She called me back promptly after I left a message. I haven't looked at the rankings of my site in awhile so I yelled at her because I couldn't find it and thought it was nowhere to be found. I was looking on Google, she told me to look on Yahoo and Bing. There my site was right on top. I apologized and ate my words. They are way better than I thought.

Initial automated message is designed to lead you to believe this company is Google. They are NOT Google, nor are they associated with Google. They are certainly NOT partners of Google. When I finally tried to click through to speak with sales to get a company name, I asked the sales caller to repeat the name of the company to confirm, and she immediately hung up. Dialing the number back only netted an "all operators are busy" response. So I called corporate. They had no answer as to why the salesperson would hang up when being asked to verify the company name. This scam needs to be shut down.

Huge rip off. Never got a single customer from using these services, and I asked every client I got over the last year how they heard about us, and it wasn't their (rather awful) "customized" website or search services. They initially said they'd need "30-90 days for results to take effect," One year and hundreds of dollars later, nothing... Customer service has hung up on me twice just while I was on hold in the process of canceling, then when I finally got through, tried to argue with me about how helpful and successful they've really been when I tried to cancel, and you'll notice that when you ask for your money back for being dissatisfied, they'll completely refuse... So terrible. Seriously... ZERO customers. In a year. Hundred$... OH! And they offered to "provide me with the same services" they had been... for $19.99 a month instead of the $60 I'd been paying... wouldv'e been nice to be throwing away a third of the money I had been this whole time haha The lessons you learn trying to make a business succeed...

SCAM!!!!! I never signed on for any service and they somehow stole my cc info and have been charging my acct. No customer service.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS COMPANY!! I have been using their service for almost three months and I've experienced endless frustration for it. First off, the sales guy I dealt with (Robert) described aspects of their service in ways that were NOT true to form. Much of what they offer can be accomplished by anyone with a basic understanding of how to use a computer and the Internet: i.e. creating accounts on social media, online directories, and search engine business listings. I ended up doing most of that myself, because Local Lighthouse was taking too long.

I figured I would stick it out with them just for the website they were creating for me and for the first page placement on the three major search engines, but having to explain even SIMPLE changes for my website to them over and over and over again has become beyond frustrating. Half the time they don't follow through, and when they do it's done wrong half the time. At the moment I am STILL waiting for numerous changes/corrections to my website that I have been requesting for a month now! I have spent hours on the phone with "customer service" going over them again and again...

Finally, I got ahold of a supervisor (Daniel) to handle my account two weeks ago. Turns out I was better off dealing with customer service! Most of the changes remain undone and the guy won't return my calls or emails!

We'll see how they respond to my online complaints. The next step is cancelling my credit card and possibly taking them to court.

Small businesses should avoid this company like the plague! I am a small business owner and this company called me and gave a great sales pitch about how they were going to get to the top of Google and Bing search results and how they were going to build me this great website. The website was embarrassing and actually turned customers away. I did not get one new client for 6 months and when I cancelled my account when my 6 month contract was over they still continued to bill me and argue with me over the phone. They were unprofessional liars who stole hundreds of dollars from me. Then at the end to part on good terms they offered me $50. DONT FALL FOR IT!

These people have called me 30-40 times in the past few months. I have tried to tell them to stop calling but just get hung up on.

I've been a client of Local Lighthouse for several years. Initially I had them make a new website and had them link it to another one I've had for 20 years. Because of their expertise at pleasing the search engines, the one they made for me rose quickly in searches and brought my older site up with it! After I got established with them, they gave me a very reasonable rate for monthly maintenance. As SEO evolves, they tweak the code on my site (which I used to have to do myself) and basically keep everything going smoothly. And then there's the local SEO. If you check my name, DovenStar Intuitive Reiki Center, you'll see I"m at the top all over my geographical area. Their customer service is fantastic, there's always someone who answers the phone, my questions get answered, issues get resolved... I don't know why they only have 1.8 out of 5 stars here in Google. My experience with them has been great and I really, really appreciate that they take care of my online presence. No one asked me for this review, I am not receiving compensation for this review, they just deserve to be acknowledged for their good work!

They begin their cold call with a lie, "You are not registered with Google." They must think the general public are stupid. They told me that I was the lucky last person to get my website on the first page of google. Yea, right. Lucky me! They also said they are partners with Google. I can't believe anybody would hire somebody whose cold call begins with a lie. You know they are dishonest, why would you sign a contract?

This company will make a bunch of promises and they cannot deliver on like front page placement on Google. It was a complete waste of money and when I told them I wasn't getting a return they said it was because I wasn't taking the time to get reviews. It just so happens my company has nearly a five star rating and this company is struggling to get two. They also claimed to do outsourcing for Google and it just so turns out they're being sued by them. Please don't waste your time and money

Very disappointing! I was promised things that were not delivered. While they got my business on the front page of Bing and Yahoo with multiple listings, they were only able to get me on the front page of Google with one very-specifically worded listing. Who looks at Bing and Yahoo? Everybody 'googles' and they did not do well with Google for me. Also, I was told the cost would be $99/mo. for the first six months, then $49/mo. for the next six. Instead they continued to charge me $99/mo. after six months. I called asking for a refund, but they stubbornly refused. I have cancelled my subscription.

When this company called to offer their services I was using google ads. (which I was getting way more business through before I switched to this terrible company) I should have looked at these reviews before agreeing to having them take over promoting my site and services. They promised that with their company that I would get onto the first page of google. This was a lie, they only promise getting you on either google, bing, or yahoo. Which I was not told when speaking with the sales person. Since I switched to this company I have not received any calls on my service nor responses via my website (which with google ads I was getting atleast one request or call a week). When I called and spoke with this company they told me it takes 1-3 months to get their site up that they set you up on, which- I already have a website I do not need theirs, and they do not promote my business any special way, they take information off my website. So I am now stuck in a in a contract with them for 6 months paying way too much per month for nothing. I'm losing money by using this company not gaining any. Do not use this company!!!! SCAMMM... so unprofessional, misleading and ridiculous.

I'm so frustrated with this company right now! My employer hired them almost 2 years ago to build a website for the company. They did get us to the top of a google search, but only with very narrow search criteria. The website itself was very basic run of the mill, and the content was poor not very well optimized for searches. Working with them to make changes was a huge pain so I decided it was better just to learn how mange it myself.

I cancelled the subscription a wee ago, since then I have been tirelessly trying to get the domain transferred. I have called six times now. Each call is met with a very nice customer service person kindly giving me a different answer from the previous ones. When they say they will call back, they don't. When they say they will email the authorization code to me, they don't. Meanwhile, the small amount of SEO they accomplished is withering away as the URL is dark. And I thought they were bad when we still had a subscription.

Worst company ever. Robo calls, i have it recorded, claims they are affiliated with google, but they are not. Webside building, customer service, if any, all terrible. Stay as far away as possible. Look at the web even people working there claim that they tell they are google. Look at the 5 star reviews and you can guess where they are coming from...Still can't manage to have more stars as2 on average as so many people complain. After sign up they try everything to keep you from canceling the so called service they provide. Look at yelp and BBB too to get the idea. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.
