Food was alright, service was extremely slow considering they were not busy. Food order was wrong, and cold. Drinks did not come for a long time and the sushi was cold. The soup did not come to our table at all!

Nice quaint atmosphere. Got the chef's combo nigiri plate and could quite literally taste the salt of the sea in each bite, absolute perfection. Service is always helpful and the drink prices are cheaper than most of the downtown Royal Oak spots. Girlfriend got a thai dish and that was great too, check em out.
Horrible service. Less than average food. Managers standing around not looking to assist servers that are busy, but what tables can be filled. Ordered desserts. They all tasted like they have been stored uncovered in the refrigerator for at least six months. Awful experience and expensive. YUK.
What a great experience! They sushi is amazing and the staff is very knowledgeable and positive. They sushi rolls are reasonably priced and the quality is perfect. Will be going there any time I feel like having sushi from now on.
The hostess was pretty rude but our waitress was nice. As far as the food goes I prefer the other sushi places nearby but if you have a part larger than 4 this is pretty much your only option in walking distance.
Let me just say that the sushi and appetizers here are great and the wait staff is super friendly. I definitely recommend the Shumai appetizer and the eel specialty roll. It is expensive for the small amount of food you get, but that's just how it is for sushi this good. My only real gripe is that the atmosphere is a little weird, they try to mix "traditional Japanese" with "sports bar" and it feels a little off.
My favorite sushi joint in all of Detroit. Whether you enjoy sushi, or just want to grab a drink with friends, you'll love it. They've also got happy hour. Go check it out for yourself!
I ordered a Godzilla roll, lobster roll, beef pad Thai and chicken/shrimp puffs. The sushi was ok, the puff were pretty good but the pad Thai was awful. The noodles weren t the right kind for the dish, not enough sauce and no spice even though I ordered medium plus spice level. It was kinda bland sorry.
I like this place! They serve awesome food, their menu is rich, The chief cook in that place is a real pro, I like a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are always fresh, the service towards the visitors is nice. I often go to this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all my friends.
Really good vegan sushi rolls & tofu was pretty good , not anything special about tofu . Ended up accidentally ordering 6 of each sushi type when I only wanted one of each. Oops lol
I find this place to be an average sushi bar who's other Japanese food is better then their sushi. They have a nice bar and a good selection of wines and cocktails. I find their interpretation of Udon noodles to be loosely cobbled together, in that it tastes like all the ingredients were prepared separately and strewn together before serving. They had no time to mingle or develop like when traditionally braised in an earthen pot. This being said, there are plenty of other dishes on the menu. It is a nice place to drink, eat, and socialize though and often very busy. I recommend you try it at least once.
Took the family here for a birthday this week as it was selected by the birthday girl. I was not too excited after reading some of the reviews. To my delight it was excellent, the waitress was great and the food awesome. And yes I appreciate good sushi; I'm a regular at Noble's!
I enjoyed my meal quite a bit although I thought the dipping sauce was a little thin and lacked flavor. The service seemed a bit inattentive, it was pretty busy. the tempura ice cream dessert lacked any real flavor. i'll definitely order again, maybe takeout tho.
Sushi was okay, nothing fancy. Ambience is what you'd want a Royal oak place to be, less fancy then Ronin but also better parking situation, less crowded, less wait which is always nice. Recommend their Green Tea Ice cream for dessert!
Chloe was the worst. Got mad at us when she didn t give us what we ordered. Basically threw chopsticks at us, when we asked for them, and seemed irritated that we were even there at all. Why should I get carry out from this place if the staff treats me like that? I m going to naruto sushi
I've tried Little Tree twice now. One for their sushi, the other time their regular dinner entrees. Each time was extremely disappointing. Will never go back now.
I would come here all the time and get the katana roll.... still amazingly good, however, they cut down the portion size..... can't remember if it was always the current price or if they brought the price down a bit when they cut the portion. Great and friendly service and everything tastes great!!!
This is my GO TO sushi restaurant. I cannot count the amount of times I have been in to Little Tree.
The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and will scratch your Nu-Asian itch. I usually stick to the Spider roll because it is my absolute FAVORITE. But I alternate between the shrimp shumai, crab and shrimp puffs, and ebi tempura for appetizer. For entree (which I usually split with my boyfriend because the portions are gigantic!) I alternate between Philippine fried rice, Nabeyaki Udon, and the ramen. I have never been disappointed with any of these dishes.
The service is wonderful. Every server I've ever had has been attentive, friendly, and seems to enjoy their work. They have also always been patient with us and our dog, as we usually take her and sit on the patio. I know dogs in a restaurant environment can be irritating to servers, and I always appreciate them making me feel like she is welcome.
The only downside is, if you're looking for traditional drinks, I don't think Little Tree has a great selection. But if you're looking to try Sake they have a wide range of Saketinis to try!
This is one of the best sushi bars, and great customer service. I eat here every Tuesday, and tonight after I ordered my meal, I realized that I left my wallet at work. The manager was very understanding, and I arranged to come in the following day to pay my bill.
The experience with my waitress was not so good. I judged pretty fairly on my waitress, I stated into the abis waiting for her to take my order for a good 6 minutes as she laughed with co workers. She didn't ask me How my food was or my dates. Did not know what kind of seafood went into my dish because I noticed baby squid missing, didnt even bother checking. I didnt like my drinks, didn't finish them, she didn't bother asking, but she did make sure to let us know they were closing in an hour. Didn't introduce herself to us. Waitresses suck. Hire men. They are way better and out going. Food was good except for the fact of missing food. 62 dollars later and I still left her a 12 dollar tip.better than nothing.
Nice place with a nice atmosphere.. The food was good but definitely not the best Sushi in Royal Oak (prefer Ronin). Their prices were a bit high but that sorta expected from Downtown Royal Oak Sushi bars.. For sure worth a try!!
It's a grate place to eat relax and have some fun . Good for a date I wouldn't sit down by myself but hey that's just me. Staff is grate food doesn't take too long. If you have a movie to see it is a sit down and din place so allow time for that
Really disappointing take out experience. Had chicken pad Thai that was completely flavorless, might as well have been cardboard. Not what you'd expect for an $11 dish.
Fantastic and cozy, the menu has something for everyone and honestly you can't go wrong. I've ordered "This is It", Spicy Tuna, Shimp Tempora, and Veggie Rolls the last few times I've gone. All of it absolutely mouth watering and leaves craving more. I highly recommend the This is it, as it's the most flavourful and comes on a slat boat with ginger, wasabi, and sesame oil the crab and tuna are so tender you almost want to order a second. The location is top notch, beautiful design and art style, perfect for a date night ;)
It's been about 7 years since I was here last from being out of state and country. I've always enjoyed coming here. I was surprised with how much the server quality went down and it took us almost half an hour just to get drinks. On top of the server forgetting about half of our order. The food was still great and in good quality, but I think the servers need to be trained in their customer service skills.
Good food and service as always. Decent selection of sushi. Wish they had sushi of the month so it would prompt me to try something different. Other than that..will definitely keep coming back.
Always fresh and delicious! Unique rolls you won't find anywhere else . Fish is amazing and the food very well priced.. ample parking and nice, helpful staff
Sushi was boring, all tasted the same. When we told our server he didn t offer to improve our experience. The manager and sushi chefs were busy watching a football game on tv. And saw a sushi chef scratch his head and then touch food. Never coming back here!
Average with high prices? This is your place. It's nothing special. So come on in and you will love it. Seriously it's just average, don't waste your time, there are better places. Check them out.
The customer service here is deplorable the managers are unwilling to even compromise at all. A friend ordered the wrong roll by accident once she realized it was a mistake she asked if it could be exchanged for the roll she met to order. They said no and were jerks about it. Last time I eat here.
