This place is absolutely one of the tastiest restaurants in the region. Always when I come there I am deeply glad. They always keep their high level service and the topmost level of food they give. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Great Asian food selection, not too large of a menu, and very good sushi. Everything we got was flavorful and fresh. The only complaint I have is a minor one: it's too loud. I don't wanna be the "get off my lawn" old man complaining about noise, but this place has the atmosphere of a sports bar. It was only 50% capacity, and I still couldn't hear my wife across a 3 foot table. Needs some acoustical baffles installed to stop the sound bouncing of the wood plank ceiling and it could be perfect.
Last time I went there they didn't have enough wait staff. one girl in our group didn't get her food for a lot longer than everybody else's. She was not offered anything to eat while she waited. We were almost done with our meals by the time she got her food.
This employee named Greg was so rude and very disrespectful to me when I was trying to order. He did not have any respect at all this guy is a total waste to work in this place.
Excellent service and phenomenal sushi! Every time I come here (been coming for 5 years) I get great recommendations from the staff to try new rolls, they are always delicious.
First place where i tired sushi,it was great loved it. Their Thai fired rice A1 i always get it extra hot hot hot. It's a great place to hangout with friends and enjoy asia food. They also have bar. Those of you who drinks great place. Located in downtown royal oak. Great place to be i love it. Good always good, service i think is ok. Recommended ;)
Inauthentic but does the job! It's good for when i can't decide between a plate of Thai food or sushi, because you can do both! They have a few different types of food like Japanese, Thai, Philippine, but not an extensive amount under each. Definitely edible, good atmosphere.
Tuna is used as my determining factor in rating sushi restaurants. For me, tuna has to have the dark red hue and very clean taste. Here the maguro nigri (tuna) that I ordered was not the deep dark red color and the taste was awful. I could hardly stomach this raw tuna. Overrated sushi restaurant.
Little Tree was a wonderful place to get decent sushi for many years. I used to visit often but I hadn't been in two years and I'm sorry that I returned because my last experience was so disappointing I will never go again. It made me sad. First let me say their pan-asian menu is probably still decently solid but to still call themselves a sushi bar is to insult the art of sushi making. First off their sushi rice was terrible... hard and flavorless, it was the first sign that they have amateur sushi chefs behind the bar. A real sushi chef would never serve what we were served. Their wild caught menu was overpriced and ill-prepared to the point that both me and my date were surprised with sharp inch long bones in our fatty yellowtail. Bones in sushi? At $73 (after tip, I'm not a total jerk) with no alcohol I expect a properly prepared meal. Especially when it's a place I've trusted in the past. Most of what we ate was disappointing but I'll admit the Tuna was fresh enough that I could ignore the rice. I have never in my life left sushi uneaten but the last piece I could not stomach. Whomever is managing this place now, get your life together and hire some decent sushi chefs. I'll not be returning.
Came here with my niece and a slow time, great service from our waitress and the sushi was good, a bit pricey because its royal oak, but it was quick service with good food, I plan on going again soon!
We were here several months ago, everything was fine until I noticed a staff person digging for gold in their nose without washing hands and changing gloves!
Not a bad spot for a couple different kinds of Asian fare, including; Thai, sushi, Japanese, etc.
Our table ended up having a couple rolls of sushi and I personally had a fried rice dish with two eggs.
The rolls were pretty decent and and fried rice dish was really good!
The only thing keeping the review from being 5 stars is that the service is a little slower than I would expect. The food came out quick but waiting for our drinks and the checks took a decent amount of time.
The food is very good inside the Little Tree. I ordered to go sushi and it was bad. The roles were smaller and the cucumber had very hard dry skin on it. If I only had the take out I would never go back. They need a trained take out sushi chef.
Celebrating Mom's Birthday; we decided to have Sushi at Little Tree Sushi Bar. We had the Wow Roll and the Salmon Crunch Roll. We love, love, loved it. The place is clean, the staff help us with our sushi selection and it was delicious. My Mother and I were very happy.
Great place! It s comfortable, relaxing and the staff is very inviting. It is very reasonably priced, even when you compare it to other local sushi places that are not as nice. Also they have some items on their menu that sometimes are not found at other sushi restaurants I.e. octopus rolls.
Great atmosphere and food. Meter parking in the back lot is not ideal, but if you find a good parking structure you are in for a treat. You can walk around the area and enjoy the other shopping and entertainment nearby.
Good sushi! Service was a little slower, but overall the drinks and food were good. Good sake selection and our waitress was good at explaining the differences.
Been here dozens of times. Really good sushi and rice/noodle entrees. Kid-friendly, but also nice for adulting. All the staff we've encountered are just great. TVs all around, usually showing major sporting events. Limited outdoor seating having Main St is usually busy. For take-home, they package everything up very well and we've never had an issue with missing or inaccurate items.
Food and service are good. Cozy environment to relax and enjoy your meal. During summer they have few tables on the sidewalk to enjoy the fresh breeze.
We arrived at this spot for a meeting. we heard about this restaurant from a lot of people. Well, it was a winning. The staff members were very polite and we had a great feeling. The meal was great. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. we highly recommend this place.
I would like to ask the owner "How do you live with yourself?'. What gives you the right to destroy Gods gift to the sea! What you do to SUSHI is an embarrassment. I'm curious how you still have a clientele!!! I'm more surprised that PETA hasn't staged a protest in Royal Oak forbidding the destruction you cause to what most consider a delicacy. The casualties you put on plates should be sold to cat food manufactures as the fishiness of what I experienced should be considered criminal. Take your good fortunes and run. Your days of being the ONLY sushi restaurant in town are over. Please hand over the reins to someone who cares about their customers and the art of serving good food!
The food is just as great as it always has been. All of the staff is polite and they definitely know how to perform their jobs well. Always a pleasure stopping in when I'm in town.
Tried to place an order from their parking lot 20 min before they closed put on hold then hung up on. When I went in to order was told they stopped taking orders. Won t go there again
This place is so underrated. They have a great menu that's reasonably priced, a cozy and unpretentious atmosphere, a great drink menu, and delicious sushi. My favorite nice sushi place in the area.
Overall it was okay but I received my yakisoba not as what I imagined it to be. The noodles were still hard and so was my tofu. The flavor was good but it just needed to be cooked properly. My friend's beef was also rubbery which killed the entire dish. Sushi was delicious though! Plus the waitress was very friendly and accomodating.
I so enjoyed this phenomenal date night my sweets!! The food was amazing and Matt did a great job serving us!! Wonderful experience and I look forward to returning in the near future!!
I admire this restaurant a lot. theres a great air. The cuisine is very tasty. the service is efficient and the waiters are polite. The price is fair. greatly recommend.
That was the worst Shrimp Tempura and Spicy California Roll ever. The sushi looked like it was rushed and steady kept falling apart. The Thai Rice was good though!
Came here for the first time and felt extremely uncomfortable with the whole experience! Food took 40 minutes and there was 10 total people at the restaurant... Not only that but the tofu was dry and disgusting! Felt intimidated to argue. Plus my buddy looked at his online bank statement and saw he was doubled charged...
Sushi was anything but fresh, California roll (crab) has a fish bone in it. After paying for a meal we didn't eat, I brought it up to the manager on our way out. Instead of offering and apologies he began arguing with us telling us we lie and just want to get something off the bill.
I Love Little Tree however their version of crab star ragoons were not tasty at all if I'm not mistaken they called them crab puffs. Other than that the sushi was great the wait staff was amazing like always. The crowd was very slow for a Saturday evening.
Nice place, but the food is not awesome. The Makis doesn't look like makis (the way they roll them), the rice is too hard. The miso is not the best I ever tried (The Kroger Miso soup is way better for example). Otherwise it's a nice place to hangout, and if you are not picky on the food you will be happy with this place ! The service is good, people are really kind !
It was a very comfortable place to be, good atmosphere, but my friend and I ordered the California rolls and they did not taste right, I almost vomited because of the taste, other than that I loved the staff.
Sushi is decent, but the service is horribly slow every time we've gone for lunch. They tend to be out of a lot of items frequently. There never seems to be anyone in here anymore which is probably the best sign you could do better somewhere else.
