Little Rock Zoo Review

Food is pricey but it is a great place to take the family.

Really a great zoo! I was very surprised at the variety of animals and was very pleased with the cleanliness and care for the animals!

We love going to the zoo every year! We prefer the Memphis Zoo to this one, but it's a little further than we prefer to drive most of the time. This zoo has smaller exhibit areas and not near the variety like the Memphis Zoo. The adult events during the fall are fun. We wish there were more of those throughout the year and that we were able to tour the zoo as a part of the event.

They've changed their focus from fun interactive animal exhibits to fun playgrounds. The kids like it nonetheless!

Small city zoo, since of the buildings are old, but there are several beautiful new exhibits and lots of great animals. Definitely worth a visit.

Very, very expensive, the animals don't look well taken care of, the way the park flows from on exhibit to the next is not very smooth and you can't even see the animals. What a waste of $60!!

As expensive as it is should have more animals on display

Dont get me wrong I love the zoo and seeing such beautiful animals, but they are in such small places and seem so depressed and stressed out it makes me sad. Im glad theyve saved these animals, but we should fund bigger enclosures with more things for them to do than pace all day. Just my opinion though.

A great place to take the kids. The place is well thought out and designed well. And they have multiple playgrounds for the kids too.

They have most exhibits open and new born animals that were out playing.

Wish they had more animals but they take amazing care of the ones they do have and it's a great place and they keep it well sanitized during this pandemic

A little zoo in a small capital city. I am sure budget is an issue, but I wish some of the enclosures were bigger. With that said, it is well kept and I am sure they are following guidelines.

Enjoyed all the new baby animals they have at the zoo. It's a nice place to take grandchildren. I also took my girls when they were young.

Great fun! Enjoyed Cafe Africa. Employees all nice and friendly. Farm train was fun --nice "engineer"! Beautiful animals.

Beautiful place to see a balanced replica of nature. Lions were out of service during visit on July 3rd.

- A lot of water supplies to refresh yourself were broken or turned off.
- Seems to always have construction and (half of) the exhibits are empty because of it
- a lot of shops and other areas were closed too although they say they were open according to the website or entrance.
- pricey for what it is if you want to compare to the Memphis Zoo or St Louis Zoo.

+ It is a zoo... Its great to be able to visit one and the people that take care of the animals.

The zoo is a great when you have young kids. Low prices for the amount of time you get.

We have been Zoo season pass holders since 2005. We have watched the zoo grow and change; and we have loved all the new changes (primate cages, playground, elephant, cheetah area, banner's blocking view of staff areas, penguins). The kids adore the reptile house and the new playground. We look forward to seeing the new animal petting zoo. As parents we like that things aren't so spread out and we can see a lot of our favorite exhibits in under an hour.

I must just be picking bad days. I have been several times and not once have I seen all the animals. While it's not the St Louis zoo, we should still see more than 60 percent if the animals and there shouldn't be near the amount of empty enclosures that we always see....I mean IT IS a ZOO.....unimpressive to say the least....

All the animals look depressed, perhaps it s because of the electric fences in every enclosure. There were almost no staff in the zoo. Maybe one or two but there were Definitely none with any of the animals. Also, state law says masks must be worn outdoors but the zoo makes you wear them inside the park even though 90% of it is outdoors. Overall, a terrible value and probably will not return.

We came here as part of our honeymoon time. It has had many upgrades, since I was here as a child. Fun for the whole family!

Our zoo isn't anything amazing, but they've put lot of work into making it into something. We go several times a year.

I love the zoo because the animals make me.happy to see them. Some are more shy than others. Thats ok I'm kinda shy myself sometimes.
I love the littlerock zoo!!! You should come out and support our city zoo. Peace out and go, ou know you want to!! Have fun and be kind to one another. The world needs more kindness. Have you open the door for someone today? Or let someone in traffic in front of you!! Well go ahead pick out something kind and do it for someone =)

Its a nice zoo vending is a but pricey lots of animals!!

Me and the family had a blast and the animals were so active we loved tge experience

I liked the animals we viewed but wish there were more to see.

So fun! Love that there is a restaraunt! And the food is good!! We love zoo days!

Love they gave the monkeys and gorillas presents for them to open it was friut they had wrapping paper everywhere they were so happy there was babys monkey 2

Decent little zoo with a good mix of animals. It would have been better if there were more animals in exhibits. About 30% of the exhibits we're empty. Animals looked healthy and well taken care of, which is most important.

The zoo has made some improvements. Nice outing with the family

It was great. Best advice I could give is to circle itv at least twice. That way you'll get to see all the animals.

A terrific variety of animals with easy to navigate exhibits. We saw almost everything we wanted to, and my four-year-old nephew had almost as much fun as my seven-year-old niece. Good spot!

It was amazing animals of kinds. It was dollar I would recommend going on a regular day cause it was packed.

Sadly, a lot of the animals weren't out so we had to miss a lot. The gift shop wasn't that great either. Overall it's a good place to take the kids. We all had fun. The monkeys and chimps are always entertaining.

We had an excellent time at the zoo today. My father-in-law was in town and him along with my wife and I and our daughter went and spent a couple hours and had a great time. A lot of the animals were out playing which was shocking but was really neat to see. The safari shop was closed which was a bummer. All of the eating places were closed because of covid-19 but there was a funnel cake and corn dog stand!!

Really nice clean zoo, friendly staff, tickets good price. May want to eat before going and take water bottles, the food and drinks are pricey.

The zoo is wonderful. The admission prices are comparable to most zoos I've visited. The rentals are a bit to high. Their gift shop has a nice mix of high and low cost items and even sells ice cream. The vendor stands are comparable to faire costs and have funnel cakes! Save money and buy drinks from the vending machines. This zoo is special needs friendly.

Nice and clean, but there were a lot of animals that weren't out for people to see.

Haven't visited the Little Rock Zoo and had actually made plans to go to the Memphis Zoo. Glad we stayed home. It was very nice. Lots of animals were out to enjoy

To much was closed for it to cost that much. Zoo keepers and staff were not friendly at all. I was disappointed.

We love the zoo and go often. We've seen several of the animals up close and the flowers/greenery are very well maintained. The train ride is not very interesting - we'd love to see it go around the entire park, or a further distance, so you could see animals while riding the train.

So many improvements since I last visited years ago. We attended a wedding at the zoo. Who knew they host events and offer fantastic catering? Really a great time.

The zoo itself was great but the African Cafe is a joke. You have to wait 5minutes to get your order taken then another 15 minutes to an hour for it.

We are really enjoying our zoo membership. We have been twice and have yet to visit all of the animals!
