We always enjoy our time here. Lots of exhibits. Friendly staff. Many educational experiences for the children.

Been going there since I was little and still have fun there.
Always a great time. My 2 & 4 yr olds love coming here. The price for the season pass is fair.
I went in with my service dog, and the staff were very friendly. I made a point to ask if there was any place they'd like me to avoid, and they pointed out that one of their goats in the petting zoo was a survivor of a dog attack, and so they'd appreciate if I avoided him.
At no point were they mean it unfriendly about it, and I appreciated that. They even thanked me for being considerate enough to ask.
Not a lot of animals or people when we visited but it was cold. The few animals we did see looked just as happy to see us as we were them. Reserve a time was quick & easy. We'll be back when it warms up.
The Little Rock Zoo is constantly improving and has long been a favorite spot for my family.
yeah it has really gone downhill in the last few years
A big Zoo. Friendly employees and the place was really clean for a zoo.
Has made improvements over the years. My kids live the train.
Love to see all the exotic animals. Ive always been a animal lover. There were quit a few animals out lounging and bathing in the sun. This experience was really nice.
I loved the zoo. My kids enjoyed it, but felt bad for my mom. No wheelchairs or scooters were available for rent. Wanted to watch the animal show, but a staff person told us 5 minutes in advance before the show started and we weren't even close to the amphitheater!! We missed the whole show. Food was good.
Too many animals where still put away for the winter
Beautiful place and a beautiful day!! The Zoo really outdoes itself this time of the year!!
This is a very small zoo but they are making amazing strides. My children constantly beg to go! I love letting my kids go and learn about the animals. My daughter loves zoofari!
More cool zones needed throughout the park would make it more fun for kids and adults
My family and me had a wonderful time looking at all the animals
Showed they were open on their website from 9 to 4 everyday for winter hours. No where does it say that they will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday until after February. Was really upsetting was taking my daughter for the very first time and drove over an hour and a half just to be a wast of time. Need to update your website
The zoo is beautiful ,but here's a warning, don't buy the Slushie cup,you will never be able to refill it with Slushie...never buy the Slushie cup! Also I was not told this when a bought the Slushie cup either, and when I wanted to get my money back the manager told me that I cant get my refund because I had already drank the Slushie that was in it. Lol at my expense.
Large exhibits, best priced zoo food, and many more attractions
The foods expensive but you can expect that at the zoo. Other than that we had a great time.
It s a really cool place that you can go with family to hang out and see the animals
Was there yesterday... beautiful day. . Probably half the animals weren't there or enclosures werent open, so why pay full price for half of animals??? RIP off..
We go.every year for Boo at the Zoo and for our anniversary. We LOVE the LR zoo!
We had a wonderful day at zoo! All of the animals were out, except the bears due to hibernation. The staff was very friendly and ready to answer any questions we had about the animals.
Enjoy the zoo , It s one of the best in the country
The place was beautiful and all the animals seemed happy, there was lots to look at and lots for kids to play on
Very cool and lot's for kids to do on St. Patty's Day! So much you won't see all of it before you get tired
We had such a great time on our trip. We are thinking about season passes next year.
Great experience! The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Great interactions with the animals
Still nice but alot of places are closed in the zoo
Nice. Expected bigger or more being such a big city but nice.
So if your a local or if you visit often enough the family membership is the best bang for your buck. It s normally costs $3.00 for parking and then $13 for most, and about $10.00 for kids 3-13. Kids under 2 are free. The family membership is $89+ depending on the level of people you need and parking is free with membership- they also gave us 4 free train or carousel rides tickets with the membership . 2-3 visits and the membership is worth it. The zoo is fairly large and has lots of animals, however it gets exhausting after an hour or two, my child and I are fairly local so everytime we visit we visit different parts of the zoo. The train runs every half hour, however it s really not worth it unless you have small kids wanting to ride the train, mainly cause you don t really get good views on most of the ride. It also costs I think $3.00 per person. Cafe Africa ....well I got sick off the food, if you get a hotdog only get one cause they are huge. It also was a wait in line the day we went in, but at least it s air conditioned. The best time to visit the zoo is in the fall when they are getting ready for boo at the zoo, the summertime it s very hot and smelly cause of the animals- obviously. The carousel also costs tokens that can be bought at the front gate, my child is scared to ride on it but I think it s probably the best side attraction at the zoo. The gift shop is also one of our favorites but I wish they had a better selection. We still go fairly often because it s great for young children, I wish some of the exhibits were more tailored to a child s view- you can often see parents holding up kids to be able to see the monkeys and other animals. Overall, it s not the best zoo I ve been to but not the worst, they are constantly making improvements to it, here s hoping they make more positive changes to be able to appeal to be younger crowds. Also if you loose your membership cards don t freak out, you can order a replacement for the low cost of $5.00. Yes I lost my card and it was a huge relief.
Needs to be bigger but really nice , been years since I had been
I ve never not had a good time. If I bring my kids or go by myself, it s always special and the animals are always amazing. Could be a tad bit cheaper, but otherwise a great place.
Staggering visitors, so we hardly ran into anyone! It was really nice to feel like we had the place to ourselves. There are not any food places open, so the only option was nachos at one stand. There were quite a few exhibits closed and not many animals out, but the animals that were out were pretty close.
It's a very nice place to go. Easy to use the map to find your way around. Recomend it to everyone.
Very nice facility. Well laid out, with great views of animals.
The zoo, including public areas, animal enclosures, restrooms are clean.
The animals look great, are provided with various forms of enrichment including training, foraging, keeper interactions, "toys" and more.
I was very impressed.
Hanna (our tour guide) was EXCELLENT- informative, and made the tour fun AND educational. Gold stars for Hanna!!
Many of the zoo purchases either go to animal care, facility maintenance or national and international conservation programs.
We bought a family membership since we live in the state; if you're "just visiting " donations will help support conservation.
Was a beautiful day! A lot of animals, but A LOT of people!
It was horrible the living spaces for these animals were so small all the animals looked so sad and depressed not only that the gorillas didn t have any water at all there were three in the enclosure on a very hot day without water not only that half the zoo was closed due to construction and I still had to pay full price I feel so bad for these animals deserve so much better it was so sad to see I left feeling so horrible they also had a horrible idea to put this little deer enclosure right in between the tiger and the wolf
Relaxing place to hang out once a yr look the animals God created
Evacuated for Hurricane Laura here and the kids needed some enjoyment during chaos, we enjoyed all of it! With Covid-19 happening they made it easy and enjoyable for all ages! Definitely recommend
An amazing experience for me snd my family we really enjoyed it
Great experience with my daughter, Staff was friendly engaging & knew what they were talking about you can tell they enjoy their job. However they did not have as many animals as you would have thought and I think there needs to be a bigger budget for the ones they have. Enclosers could be nicer & bigger. For the cost and for the kids excellent and all animals seemed well cared for by keepers.
Love the LR Zoo. Clean with knowledgeable staff with a lot of animals to look at and learn about.
LR Zoo has made some fantastic progress over the last 20 years. The exhibits are larger and traffic is light during the week so bring the kids around 1:30 or 2 bc it closes at 4:30pm. Ride the Diamond Express!!
Overall pretty good place. I think they are doing the best they can with what they have.
A very nice, well maintained zoo! Also you might would like to try zoo cafe. Great, fair priced food, hot & fresh!
Great place to take a date or friends. They have a diverse selection of animals to look at, so there's a high chance you'll be able to find your favorite animal or discover a new one. Also, their penguins are pretty cute.
I love going to the zoo with my 6 month old daughter. She really likes looking at the animals *the ant eater is her favorite for some reason* and I like having a place to go that I know will keep her entertained and content. I have a membership so we go about once a week to see our animal friends. We hang out in the petting zoo area a lot and love the Boer Goats.
The only thing I'm a little bummed out about, and the reason I only gave it 4 stars, is that the giraffes and lions are gone They've always been some of my favorite animals. I understand they are renovating the lion's exhibit, so hopefully they'll be back soon.
The membership is also a good deal. I have the individual plus membership so I can bring one guest with me anytime and they don't have to pay a thing. And it was only $10 more than the individual membership.
One more thing, I've learned the best time to go to the zoo is during the week when all the kids are in school and the majority of people are at work. It's so quiet and peaceful, and the animals seem more relaxed, too.
My kids love the zoo, even though that it's not a big one. It have 3 different playgrounds and lots of places to run free
Camel and giant ant eater were new animals all animals were nicely placed
For those who still play pokemon go, lots of stops, gyms and pokemon!
It is always a pleasant and comforting occasion to admire the animals that exist in our nature
Went at 10 am on a Tuesday with my wife and daughter, only saw employees and maybe three other people. Was a wonderful experience to feel like we had a private time with the animals.
Over half of the exhibits were closed and we weren t notified at the gate. I think we should have been because I would have never walked into that place.
Great zoo, clean, nice displays to view the animals.
Boo at the zoo here is awesome. Great vendors, animals (obvi) and fun stuff to do.
Not as large as some other zoos but still very nice for a day put with the family.
Fun to see changing exhibits. Wear comfortable shoes! FYI, "Posted N.F.A."
Zoo was definitely doing the right measures for covid-19 but it only took us an hour and a half to go through the zoo. Didn t see much of the animals.
Good overall but it was a very hot day and a lot of animals were not out. Several areas were in repair or closed. Very limited refreshments.
Under another of construction, bit I would go back.
Great day just wish it wasnt so expensive. Some people drive long distances to visit and that has to be considered when planning a trip
