Don't go on a Hot July day.... the animals were so hot they were hiding. Seems they needed water just as bad as we did. They need more shaded areas, maybe plant bamboo everywhere bc it grows quick and is very cool when thick. Some areas had shade but the areas where they didn't the water fountains weren't on and no misters to cool off. They do have gorillas and penguins which we have never seen and were so beautiful. They just need to add more water and shading. Babies can over heat quick so bring cooling cloths and fans and lots of water. Hope they improve. But worth seeing in a cooler month of the year.

Nice clean zoo. Small,. which is nice. Some zoo's are too large and too spread out. We went on a Monday morning and it was very empty and easy to move around. Free parking. Some empty enclosures was a drawback. Very affordable.

The zoo was great! The Lemurs, The Spider Monkeys, The Elephants, the Chimps, The Orangutans, The Giant Tortoises, the Zebras, the Flamingos... these were all great, but the Penguins really brought out the little child in my 9-year-old. He absolutely loved them.

Always enjoy the Little Rock zoo. The people are friendly and helpful. As a photographer I wish they had more glass in the exhibits and they would clean it more often. Picky I know. Have yet to see the Rhino other than at a very long distance. Quite a variety of animals. Worth the price of admission or annual membership.

A little on the pricy side but overall I had a very good zoo experience. What I really enjoyed about the Little Rock Zoo was the restaurant called Cafe Africa. Their menu has a nice selection of entrees, alcoholic beverages, and desserts. Some of the entree options are as follows: chicken strips with fries basket, hamburger with fries basket, fully loaded nachos, chicken wings on the bone, vegan burger with fries, as well as quite a few different salads. The other fun attractions a train for people to ride, a stage for various magic tricks and performers, and a hay maze. The animals looked well taken care of the overall cleanliness and presentation of the zoo grounds were excellent. The Little Rock Zoo makes for a great family fun day.

This is a great little zoo which is very easy to find. We came from Memphis and we're able to go straight there with no problems. The zoo was clean and the enclosures were well maintained. The gorilla habitat was my favorite by far as it was very large but still easy to see the animals.

We went to the zoo on a dollar day event thing where Hiland Dairy partnered with the zoo. Parking was difficult, gaining entry was pretty speedy, and drinks were being sold as well as free water stations that were placed sporadically. The only downside was because of the hot weather, a lot of the animals were hiding and keeping cool. Multiple exhibits only a few animals were out. I'd have preferred for it to be in a little cooler weather.

I went during boo at the zoo it was great. Everything was free after entry and we left with a gallon bag full of candy. And no one wanted to leave! If I were to change anything I would of been there when the gates opened

A few animals but with all the construction there s. Or an easy path around the zoo and many animals were no where to be seen. The train was nice but a really short ride for $3 a person.

So impressed with the updating and expansion of the Little Rock Zoo! This was our first visit in 2 years and we were not disappointed. So much for the kids to see and do, i would not waste the money at zoo cafe. We spent $33 on burgers and the food was NOT good! Not worth the money AT ALL!
Everything else was amazing!

My daughter loves the zoo! We have zoo passes for when we decide to go to Little Rock for a family day. Those passes pay for themselves within 2 visits. It's an amazing place with a great variety of animals for the kids to learn about. We plan on renewing our membership next month!

I ll have to say it s definitely improved from the last time I went. Large variety of animals that all looked clean and healthy. I would highly recommend going even tho the price is pretty steep. But if it goes to improving and upgrading I m all for it! Our granddaughter had a BLAST!!

Large and well maintained. Not sure why, but when we went on a Thursday in July it was mostly empty, so we didn't run into much if anyone, so the animals were active and not hiding from noise etc.
The only downside is most enclosures use a chain link fence or net with not a lot of glass windows, so it makes it hard to take good photos, especially on a phone with no manual focus.

It's a really fun time. Make sure to go in the morning when the animals are active. There is also a 5 minute train that runs for $3 a person, under three ride free. Make sure the kids ride on the right hand side if you do ride!

It is a great place to spend an afternoon, unfortunately about 30 min after we arrived it started pouring rain. The kids were troopers and there are multiple places to get in out of the weather and still enjoy the animals. Ultimately we bought the family pass (the entry fee for the day was credited towards the purchase). We will be back often

We really enjoyed our recent visit to the Little Rock Zoo. Going to the zoo used to be such a sad ordeal for me because most of the animals had concrete indoor and outdoor inclosures and the animals had no real quality of life. Little Rock Zoo has made some real progress and now almost all of the animals have nice large outdoor dirt and grass environments to spend their days. My favorite part was seeing the new 4 month old baby gorilla which I have included a couple of pictures of. Staff is all super friendly and very well knowledged of the animals. We are looking at getting a family season pass and starting to donate so we can help keep the Little Rock Zoo on track with all of the great improvements they are making.
