I really enjoy going to the zoo with my children. I've been taking them since my oldest was to years old now he is 7 almost 8. I recently went and my third baby dropped his toy in a animal exhibit. I got worried because I thought we wouldn't get the toy back and my son really like that toy. I called the zoo and they call him Lee handled the situation retrieving the toy out of the animal area and bringing it up to the front door when I left. They also informed me that it would need to be washed obviously. They did inform me though that if it fell into a animal area like a lion or a Bear exhibit I would have to wait until after it closed and the animals were put away. Thank goodness it fell into a deer exhibit. The staff did not berate me for dropping anything in the exhibit or having to go get it. They were all very kind and understanding

Zoo was great, very clean and spread out enough to not notice the exorbitant number of people there. Parking leaves a lot to be desired...ended up driving down a sidewalk partially to park in grass next to other cars.

The zoo is my favorite family day out. I grew up with the San Diego zoo so I am spoiled. However, the Little Rock Zoo is ideal for those with little ones. The entire zoo can be done in four hours and there is a fair amount animal diversity as well.

Absolutely love the zoo. I bring my two girls all the time with our Zoo Pass. It's kind of irritating that some of the animals aren't out but can't blame the zoo, it's just been way to hot lately.

Worst zoo I've ever heard of, let alone been to. Most enclosures had trash and cardboard boxes in them. Habitats for water dwelling animals were missing the water. I would recommend you going to your neighbors and petting their dog instead. Save your money and buy your kids a ticket to the Memphis zoo instead.

What we were able to see, wasn't so bad. But it's spring break and they close at 5?? Paid 25 to see half the zoo? Not happy about that. I won't waste my time and come back here. I'll go to Tulsa.

Many of the exhibits were empty and those that did have animals seemed completely inadequate. For example, the drizzly bear enclosure was extremely small and provided nothing for the bear to do. It laid on the ground and scratched the wall a couple of times. Going to this zoo made me appreciate my home zoo so much more. The Little Rock zoo is in need of a major make over. The best part was looking through the glass of an enclosure to discover it was actually an empty breakroom because then my kids had fun saying they would have waved at the employees if they had been in there. It's pretty bad when 8- and 10-year-olds leave the zoo disappointed.

Zoo is very run down. Not what it was in the 90's. Way way to over prices, with your food prices, and entry prices, you're losing business. Too high for kids to come daily or even several times a week. You are only going to get that monthly family out with prices like that. Would you want to spend 45$ just for your family of about 5 to get a snack? Hell no. My advice is, get an investor, and put some money into revisiting your business plans, from the top to bottom, and implement things that help earn you repeat business. Maybe allow independent food stands owned by someone else to cater. Etc. but until these things change its going to continue to lose revenue and lose customers. Boo at the Zoo needs way more security

Well we enjoyed the zoo but we ended up staying a little past closing time, And had to climb over the gate to get out, we called and called the after hours number but no one answered to come unlock the gate. Thought it was kind of crazy that they locked us in and went home.

Great

For my family it would have been 79 dollars to go to the zoo just one time. However they had an offer, that if we became members for 89 dollars, we would have unlimited numbers of trips to the zoo for the year and a 10% discount in the cafe. There are other perks of course, but what caught my attention, is that just two trips to the zoo and my membership pays for itself. Being that I am a homeschooling mother, this was an excellent opportunity to teach my 7 and 11 year old boys about animals for the year. Also if you get the Large cups in the cafe, refills are super cheap for the rest of the year...cheaper than a 20 ounce coke at a local gas station. I recommend the pizza for a large group. In my first trip, I almost made my ten bucks back on food in the cafe and refills in drinks. If you have a large family, it's a total no brainer. The animals were well displayed. The walk was fun. The kids had a blast. We intend to return for zoovies in the zoo this July. Look into it, you will think it's worth the extra ten bucks and now you have a place to walk while looking at beautiful animals.

Amazing experience at this zoo! All the animals seemed well taken care of as well as happy. I will prewarn anyone visiting however that the food prices are expensive. Canned soda from the vending machines are 2.00, the food in the cafe is exorbitantly expensive as well. I highly recommend pre eating before you come or bringing your own food like we did. Other than the prices it is an amazing experience to share with family and children to say the least

This zoo is pretty fairly priced, however every time I go lately there is so much construction that walking from exhibit to exhibit is difficult and entire exhibits are closed. It will be so much nicer once the renovations are finished.

Amazing places for toddlers! We loved it and hope to come back again... we saw the bold eagles getting fed... that was so cool (and little nasty but cool)
Also they have a giraffe ... we didn't get that tour but got to see it from far... also a zebra! Really cool place!

We were so fortunate to experience a behind the scenes tour of the elephant and rhino pens. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. The zoo is charming and seems animal friendly with so many green naturalized environments. There are spacious walkways but it is not concrete everywhere . I hope to go again when in the area again.

Other than several exhibits being closed either for maintenance or for whatever reason, I enjoyed the day with my daughter, her husband and his mom, along with the kids. My three year old especially loved the penguins and train! Oh, and the cafe's large watermelon flavored drink...Enjoyed the day! Prices are up everywhere and for anything these days, a little pricey but worth it.
