Our Little Rock Zoo gets better and better every year. 2016 was my first year to take my daughter to Boo at the Zoo and we had a wonderful time. There are cool beacons around that you can connect to using your phone to learn more about the animals as you wander the park! (get the BeaconSage app for your phone to find them!)

I felt very happy about the zoo and the animals. We're so blessed to have such a remarkable group of animals here for us on God's beautiful earth! I feel like the caretakers are wonderful human beings capable of compassion and true care and concern for the animals.

I have purchased zoo passes since my children were born. I would frequent the zoo at least one time a week to give my children an outing outside and help educate them on animals. I have never ever liked our zoo. The Little Rock zoo is an absolute disgrace. I will never buy a season pass again. There are very few exhibits that are actually decent and when repairs/upgrades are being made it takes months for these changes to take place. WHERE ARE THE ANIMALS? Everything seems broken and under repair. I almost never see any animals out or on display at the time and the ones I do see are hardly active. Some of the animals appear gnarly and gross. I think the Little Rock Zoo is an absolute embarrassment. I decided after my most recent visit I will not go back.

Bigger zoo than I thought! There were a great variety of animals, I just wish there were more of each.

They had food trucks set up that sold shaved ice, frozen lemonade, and fried dough for about $4 each.

We captured great footage of the animals. Unfortunately, about 5 or 6 of the approximately 20 animals we visited were hiding, so we couldn t see them.

Will definitely go next year, hopefully without COVID ruining things.

Love it

We had a great time at this zoo.
It's the end of December and a bit cold, but the animals were active. Nice place for to spend a few hours together.

For Little Rock not being a big city (I'm from San Diego where the zoo is world renowned), I am very impressed by this zoo. They are always making it better. We got the annual pass this year and it is a great value! Lots to see, clean and fun environment. The kids love it!

This is a really nice facility. Well laid out, clean, decent food at the kiosks/restaurants.
Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions.
If you live in the state a membership is the way to go.
If you do not (just visiting) then any donations go to on site use AND national/international conservation programs.

A wonderful place for a five year old to run and play. If you're like me, you'll find it worth your while to invest in a membership, which will pay for itself typically in the first three or four visits.

Be warned, winter hours are only up til 4:00PM. At present (end of March) they are back to the slightly more reasonable 5:00PM.

Much more could be said (too much for phone entry).

It's always a great time. You never get tired of seeing the amazing animals. Plus, I will continue to go and support the zoo. The Mayor of Little Rock is cutting funding, so I will make sure to continue my support of the zoo.

If I would have reviewed this zoo three years ago, it would've gotten two stars. In the three years that have since passed, you can tell the city of Little Rock has really put a lot back into the zoo. The animal exhibits are better, the availability of the animals is better, the design and layout have improved tremendously. For a relatively small city, the Little Rock zoo makes for a very family friendly environment. Strongly recommend.

It's a great place to take toddlers! There's two great little playgrounds, and it's not too big to go see all (or at least most) of the animals before naptime. We have a membership and go at least weekly when the weather is nice.

Very small but well maintained. All exhibits were open but I've been to much better zoos. Carousel was not running and train ride was very short and just goes around the pond. Nothing special.

The best time to go is on $1 day. The last few years have been bad experience. Pricey tickets, even for children and most of the exhibits were blocked off for construction or just closed down. This is the worst zoo I have been too. The animals are very close to the HWY. There are not many animals or activities. Not worth the price.

Highly recommend getting a year pass if having a family because it's a great place to bring kids. Always appreciate staff who show kids snakes or other animals up close. Food truck food can be a bit overpriced, but tasty - can't say the same for the cafeteria food. Kids loved the penguins, but don't get fooled by "penguin parties" held outside the zoo. Trust me, it's no party. Anyway, the zoo is great!!

This zoo needs a lot of attention it s ran down . Went this Saturday with my niece to start off with the lady at the pay station was on her phone and totally ignored that we were standing there. weeds and grass was grew up seemed like it should have been closed. We walked and walked without seeing any animals most of the exhibits are empty. The directions are confusing. Really not worth going and waste of time and money.

Lots of animals, but the drinks alone were crazy expensive. The food is also...not great. It was a very long wait for fries that were bland and cold, and school cafeteria-esque burgers. Pack a lunch if you can.
