Loved this zoo! We are members in Houston so we got in half price. The habitats are well cared for, the animals were mostly active and easy to see. Loved everything and hope we can go back next time we're in Arkansas.

It's a really fun place to spend your time. I love to feed the koi fish and goats. Priced right for what you get. And we got to see the new baby gorilla. So cute.
It was a good outing. My daughter rental me a mobile wheelchair. The only problem was I only used it for an hour and a half still had to pay $25.00 for the rental. I believe in this case it could have been half price because we were there from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m which was closing time. when I spoke to worker about it, he said he wish could adjust the cost but did not do so.
The zoo was great! I spent several hours discovering the great exhibits. My favorite was the Primates, Reptiles, Birds & more building. I specifically enjoyed the reptiles.
Weather was great and the farm animals exhibit was a favorite of my 4 year-old - thank you, Jessica! We were a bit bummed th qed t the penguins weren't there, but the baby gorilla made up for it!
On Saturdays entry is only $1! The zoo is pretty large considering Little Rock isn't a huge city. There's a great play area for kids and the bird house is so neat!
Was nice except that the farm animal petting zoo part was restricted due to covid fears. My four year old autistic son is rather obsessed with petting zoos right now. Aside from that it was really nice as the where not many people there.
Not bad, but disappointed today! Alot of animals were not on exhibit , couldn't feed the lorikeets that I paid for. Over priced in the gift shop! $20 bucks for a stuffed animal. Just a disappointing day with my grand daughter
If wishes were hippos, or rhinos, or giraffes, the Little Rock zoo might have some. Bought a family plus one season pass, but if not for the passport ability to use it at other zoo's across the country, probably not worth it. If you've been you know what I mean. If not, now you do.
The zoo staff are helpful and kid-friendly. The zoo itself is a walkable size for active young children with excellent play areas and conveniently located bathrooms. The animals are active and easily viewed.
Nice little zoo. The exhibits are spread with multiple points to observe the large animals. At least three hours are needed if you want to see everything. There's a short train ride and a carrousel to take a break from watching.
Me personally, I thought it was actually kinda boring. The only thing that made it all worth it was that my kids had a blast. If it wasn't for them I'd probably never go back.
I grew up going to this zoo, because it's really the only zoo in Arkansas. They have so many animals from each continent. One of their recent additions is the penguin habitat. The zoo of course seems smaller than when I was a child, but last time I went was still really enjoyable. The zoo charged only a dollar for admission on a Saturday and my whole family went for the occasion. A lot of the animals are the exact same ones that have been there my whole life. They seem to be treated fairly well for a zoo, which means a lot to me.
Loved the zoo but it was too hot and crowded. Not the zoo's fault though. Wir SH they would have dollar day earlier or later in the year when the temperatures aren't scorching.
It could be my fault for visiting during Carona, but we had less than stellar time. Id say a good 75% of animals we didnt even see. The few animals that we see were sad looking. I cant even blame them. It was hot with no opportunity to cool down. The only upsides were it was not busy and the staff was really. If your thinking about going Id hold off for now.
Due to COVID-19 our prices are reduced!!! Dont look for that but youll get a sad, depressing outing. Even the animals are depressed. It was not what i was expecting. A lot of empty exhibits but charging full price. I was disappointed in the Arkansas zoo. Im a veteran and that was still disappointing even with my minimal discount. What happened to understanding??? If the zoo is having a hard time staying afloat think about the people trying to take their familiies there. I hope the world gets better but Ill never visit the Arkansas zoo again even if they have free admission.
They really have done a good job with all the updates. Nice place for family s to enjoy each other & learn facts & to appreciate each other & animals togetherness.
We have been to the Tulsa zoo, Oklahoma City zoo and Sedgwick county zoos. This one tops all of them! The animals are all so close and easily seen! We loved it and look forward to more trips!
A little more shade would've made our day in the zoo more pleasant. The farm fascinated my toddler a lot but obviously no petting allowed these days. Elephants, gorillas were nice
We love the zoo, our family of four have been members for over a decade. They do a nice job updating the enclosures and putting enrichment items out for the animals. My biggest concern is the lack of new animals, the giraffes are gone no hippos to be seen. Not to say they never get new ones (like the Ringtails and Alpacas). It is a small zoo that is land locked, similar to the fair grounds, so they have to be attentive to figure out new exhibits. I would love to see more animals and less playground equipment personally. Still a solid 4 star for me and worth a visit especially if you have young children.
Nice little zoo. Takes about 3-4 hours to walk the whole thing with a 9 and 3 year old. Lots of shaded areas for talking a break in the sun. Unfortunately, while we were there quite a few of the animals either weren't on display or were hiding because of the heat. There is a nice little petting area for the kids with goats and other animals to pet though.
My husband and I took a friend's son to the LR Zoo for a day of fun-filled activities. As we walked along looking at different animals, I noticed most exhibits we're very unkept and the animals looked sad. At one time, the LR Zoo was ranked as one of the most beautiful zoo's. What has happened? Most of the exhibits we're grown up with grass that needed to be cut. I was very disappointed in what I saw. Quite a few animals were not on exhibit (tigers, alligators etc.). I hope the zoo's task force will make needed improvements to this zoo. War Memorial Park has been around for years and it need to maintain it's popularity with not only the zoo but the stadium as well. The new exhibit on the round about on Fair Park Blvd. is really nice and it represents the zoo. Please get the zoo back to its natural beauty it once was.
City of Little Rock should be MORE supportive and not so negative about our good Zoo. Great Zoo but needs a sponsorship from GREEDY Walmart or Tyson ! Shame on them for not being supportive.
It was a lovely walk on a brisk day. A lot of construction and modernizing going on. We sat in the sun on a bench and relaxed. Restrooms were nice. Walkways were large and accessible. A nice spot was made for the kids to play.
