I wish the snack bars were open. But we had a blast anyway. The double stroller was a huge success too!
Early morning is going well he best time. All the animals were out
Let me start by saying that I would never give a zoo a 5 star, there are just too many variables. However, this place was great. We didn't realize how big it was and spent 4 hours here, could have spent another hour or two but our toddler was getting cranky. The weather was nice and the animals were out and moving. The Arkansas Heratige Farm are was great and our toddler loved the goats and riding the train. The food was also some if the best I have ever had in a zoo but was on par with concessions at a large sporting event. This place is a must visit if you live near Little Rock or are visiting.
Not enough animals, everything was closed. Scooters didnt work to well going up hills. If you want to see goats and flamigos thus iz the place to go and by the the staff was not friendly!!! Go to the memphis zoo
The ZOO IS OPEN ON SUNDAYS! The hours listed here are incorrect. Please make this correction, Google. Little Rock Zoo is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. (See website) Thanks!
Just returned from a visit to the Little Rock, AR zoo and I was quite impressed. The zoo is undergoing some construction (not intrusive), with improvements for the animal area and visitors. Completed areas are quite nice and it s obvious there are additional area that will open soon, which are also creative and well thought out.
Despite being hesitant to visit the zoo because of Covid, I was impressed they have done such a great job continually disinfecting all areas. Patrons of the zoo all wore masks and were thoughtful to maintain a safe distance. Worth a visit and a donation, so the zoo can continually improve itself.
It's nice to walk as a family ... but the animals don't take good care of them
Not worth the price. Empty animal attractions, animals not out that were on exhibit, poorly manicured landscaping, weeds and over grown tree limbs. I can go on and on. Looks like a facility with poor leadership, financial decline, and no corporate sponsors. Being new to the area and avid zoo visitors we were extremely dissapointed. The leadership should visit the Memphis Zoo.
Great place! Love the elephant's and wish the Pandemic was over so I could go back!
So great! I greatly appreciate Children's Hospital teaming up with Little Rock Zoo to do the Dream Night at the Zoo for our special kiddos! It was amazing being able to take my son to a zoo, for the first time ever.
Surprisingly robust and really modern, this was a fun zoo!
It was nice except the weather was hot so lots of animals hid out that day. The train was not running that day and that was a disappointment, but there was hardly anyone there so that was nice being able to move between the exhibits and actually seeing the Animals. Had a wonderful day with my mother son and wife.
Was a nice getaway for our 4 yr old. Wish they had something to where they could interact with some of the more exotic animals like at some of the bigger zoos but all in all it was fun for her.
It's great for a small zoo! Wish there was more activities and things for kids to do
Train and carousel were great! Big zoo with several animals
Love the Zoo. Would be 5 stars except for the high price of food and cost of riding the train and carousel.
It was a horrible experience
No animals were out and the grounds looked un kept. If this zoo is going to stay operational it needs to be revamped with new ideas and plenty more animals. This is the worst that I have ever seen it before.
I hate I waisted my money, time and energy on today.
Hope this comment helps someone else.
Went to Boo! At the Zoo. Was fun but was disappointed the animals were inaccessible. Great decorations!
So many of the animals' cages were too small. Multiple animals pacing back & forth & swaying around. They need to upgrade their cage sizes, they are almost inhumane.
Great zoo in a convenient location, seems like its never too crowded, easy to spend a fun morning or afternoon! Membership is definitely worth it if you live close, especially with kids
A great place to visit on your own or with your family. Be sure to check out the fun festivals and events at the Zoo throughout the year as well.
Boo at the zoo was spectacular especially great for the whole family.
It was all so pitiful...there's still a lot of construction areas that aren't near finished. The animals look depressed especially the primates and big cats, probably caused by the lack of friends they have (seriously 1 per cage..REALLY THIS IS THE BEST LITTLE ROCK HAS?!? ). I had so many pleasant memories from when I was little and to go in with my fiance who was new to Arkansas just made me so sad and embarrassed because of how ridiculously pitiful our zoo has become...
It was okay. My family & I LOVED this place. 1 Star because we couldn t purchase ANY of the animals. Maybe next time.
Lots of cool animals to see the cafe philly cheese steak is way better then any subway version
I was really excited about going. But for the money we paid to get in. There wasn't hardly any animals out and what few animals there were you couldn't hardly get close to them. But I guess all in all it was kind of awesome.
This is a great zoo! Not the best zoo, but a great one :)
The landscaping is not maintained and there is poison oak in all the beds hanging out of the fences.
Enjoyed this morning at the zoo with some friends. Friendly staff!!
It is a very fun place there a lot of animals good facts a lot of room to walk around the animals what kind of bored
It's was a good trip but there's room for improvement compared to when I was a kid
A truly wonderful resource for the community. It may not be the Bronx or San Diego Zoo, but the work the Little Rock Zoo is doing to provide activities for our region and their conservation efforts worldwide is incredible. With the growth they've experienced over the past few years I'm very excited about the bright future ahead for the Zoo and our town.
Pretty fun! They have a large variety of animals. Best to go when it isn't terribly hot, the smell isn't as bad then. Great for kids! My little girl loved the train
A lot of the exhibits were empty. The animals that were there were great! Giving it 4 stars because the new wooden playground by the front was awesome!
It seems a little expensive for what you find there. Many of the concession stands were not open
Animals are out and lounging around. Lots of kid friendly activities and three little parks to kids to play in.
Great place to get out, see some animal, and walk around. They are always renovating or upgrading something and bringing new animals in.
My wife loves zoos so we travel all over to go to them. We weren't impressed with this one. It was cheap to get into the zoo so it was almost worth the price. I hate having to leave through a gift shop.
We had a great time we go for Autism day every year
My son loves it there. We just wish some of the animals were out when we went.
Love this zoo! Tons of animals and facts on them. The staff is wonderful they really promote a lot of animal education and environmental conservation messages.
It's a great place to walk and see many animals ( obviously)... They are constantly making improvements, so I'm always excited to see what's new.
This is a very nice zoo! The only downfall is the lack of cooled buildings. In Arkansas where it gets very hot, it would be nice for patrons to have a good place to cool down in the hot summers planned throughout the zoo. Otherwise, it is a great zoo!!
fun place animals were out and about. it was great
We love the zoo and keep a family membership. It doesn't have some of the attractions that a bigger zoo like Memphis does, but my family always has fun at the Little Rock Zoo.
Not huge meaning an easy walk...and it was winter so fewer animals and more construction...and the burger I had was quite good.
Love this zoo!
My family has come here a couple of times and always enjoy the place. Friendly staff and animals appear to be treated well. I'd definitely recommend to any families looking for a nice, spring outing.
An amazing experience. It was about $13/person. Travelling with a student who is studying to be a zoo keeper made it all the more interesting for our party. All the staff members were extremely helpful and answered all of our bottomless questions. The only thing we wished is that the exhibits had the names and some more information on each animal and how they are rescued by the zoo.
Always enjoy trips to this zoo. They add new things and the grounds are pretty well kept. There aren't as many food options this time of the year, and we missed the giraffes. Otherwise, a great visit.
I have a zoo membership I love just going and walking around and looking at the animals
Excellent facilities for a smaller zoo. Can easily be seen in a morning or afternoon, or stretched to an entire day experience if you like to meander at a lazy pace.
The new path layout is great! Wish there was more animals. 6 pens were for the sloth bear it seemed.
