Arrived on Sunday at about 2.pm to a 1/2 full Cafe. Seated pretty quickly. Waited about 10 before we could order coffee, so ordered food at the same time. After about 25 minutes I approached the bar to check up on my coffee, only for the barista to look at the computer and see there was nothing on the table. He said to go back and the waitress returned to say she forgot to put the order in. Coffee arrived, was average & bitter (Allpress beans)then food arrived. I'd ordered the 3 cheese toasty and remember Matt Preston wrote about it back in 2013 and fair enough, it was tasty. Partner had the homemade baked beans and wasn't really impressed. Went to pay and no apology from the staff. All in all, pretty disappointed and can't say I'll be returning any time soon.

Very cool place, quick service even when packed! Wish there were more interesting appealing choices though: just went with the standard eggs Benedict in the end. There's other non standard stuff but nothing really grabbed me.

Not sure how this place rates so highly. There are literally 10 other establishments with better coffee and service. The latter, service, is the real low-point of Little Henri. Not taking card really screams tax evasion and a level of "haughty taughty" that cannot be quantified. Further, some of the employees have a bee in their bonnet that is probably correlated to the apparent "coolness" of this place.

food was really good, went there a few years ago and then just recently, i ordered the same thing.

could do with a little refresh of the menu, much was the same, but then again the food was really quite good and not too overpriced for a cafe

Good food and coffee. Service can be slow and sometimes you get forgotten if you're in the courtyard. If you bring your dog, you won't be offered water so bring your own water bottle and dog bowl.

If you live in the area, have time to get to know the staff and don't mind a little wait, this could be a pretty nice place. I'm not from the suburb so the locals seemed to have a little more priority in the service. The coffee and pastry I ordered were not too bad.

Little Henri is a lovely cafe with great and friendly staff, amazing food and a good vibe!
Came here last week with a few friends and were impressed by the big brunch menu.

Went for the coconut pancakes and wasn't disappointed! Fluffy, thick and sooo rich in flavour with lots of fruit and butterscotch sauce. Might be the best pancakes I ever had!!!
Also recommend their Zucchini Fritters with Salmon. Servings were big and filling.

Great atmosphere and food, looking forward to coming back here again soon!

My partner found Little Henri whilst searching for a venue for our post wedding brunch. From the moment I first called, Borris and his team were warm and accomodating. They agreed to host 45 people for a brunch on a Saturday morning which we thought would never happen! When we arrived we had a whole area of the courtyard to ourselves and the space was lovely. The courtyard was just gorgeous surrounded by greenery and lush foliage. The food and coffee were delicious and the service was impeccable considering how difficult it was collecting orders and serving food for such a large group. I cannot recommend this place and this team highly enough!

Fantastic food, excellent location, great service and most importantly one of the most dog friendly brunch places in Melbourne, they even have an undercover "outside" area when you can have your pup when its raining - amazing!

Been here twice. First time I made the mistake of getting some heavy, doughy home made crumpets that I didn't finish. Second time they thankfully changed the menu and I got a toasted flat bread thing that would've been pretty hard to stuff up.

I don t understand how this place was 3/4 full for breakfast. The service was just okay the food at list 1/2 hour to arrive. We ordered coffee before ordering breakfast latte and expresso extremely worm the expresso come literally like e percolator coffee with no crema and almost cold in a iced cup mmmm. I ordered a big breakfast and I received a precooked and worm up half chorizo it won t take long to cook fresh half sausage precooked bacon, precooked spinach, precooked mushrooms, dry baked beans, lightly toasted bread why no fully toasted . Than we ordered a pork salad I can t believe we got a salad with a few of those crispy fried pork croutons literally disgusting there was not a chance that a real chef was running that kitchen i would have been embrace to send out all precooked food in a restaurant well priced. Also you should know this we ordered some chilly to dress the chilli eggs and we got charged $3 for a fat cutted fresh chilli with no finesse not oil what a joke.

I didn't really dig this place. The chilli scramble with pork belly had barely any pork belly and was far greasier than it needed to be. Bloody Mary was highly advertised but actually undrinkable. Might have just been a bad day but I'm unlikely to be back. Coffee was pretty good to be fair.

The service and food at Little Henri never fail to impress me. I was drawn to this place whenever we drove past it. No matter what time I arrive (latest I have arrived was 2.55pm!), the servers always greet me with a beaming smile.
Food service is generally quite efficient, and food arrives hot.
I would recommend the eggs bene breakfast and the zucchini & corn fritters was delicious.
Price wise is pretty much the average price of a brekkie in Melbourne.
If you would like something filling and easier on your pocket, do get the baguette with fries as it is very reasonably priced and you will be very full.
I love the outdoor seating but in the summer, you would want to sit indoors, but if the place is very packed, it would be difficult to hear past all the voices.

This cafe can be full on if you re dining in, it gets really buisy and noisy so I prefer ordering for delivery. Their coffee is amongst the best in the neighbourhood, cannot fault it. Their beer battered chips are perfection, and come with a large tub of aioli (I love that you don t have to ask for it). The McHenri is the best breakfast burger in the neighbourhood, the balance of flavours is absolutely delicious. And they do an amazing poached chicken baguette, give me that any day and I ll be happy. I just love the quality and care that goes into everything they make here. Cannot rate highly enough.

A nice spot on High St with a family size courtyard and roomy interior. It's great to see a venue not cram people in while still keeping an engaging atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and the food is really yummy. Enough options for both kids and adults. Recommend!

The food was of great quality for the price, however the Polo Burger had very little to be desired.

All the flavours were bland and just combined into a meh burger. Nothing was great about the burger while nothing that was terrible. The chips were fantastic though, especially with the aoli sauce.

I look forward to trying to wagyu burger next time because it looks like it ll have much more flavour.

Too many patrons not enough staff. We asked multiple times for coffees that never arrived. The waitresses were doing their best and seemed very stressed. My food came out cold. It seems like it s an issue that has been longstanding. The barista wasn t helping the situation by barking orders and being rude to the waitstaff. My observation is the owner needs to sort this out and hire more staff. I was tempted to asked for a refund. Won t be coming back

Quick service and VERY filling food.
You would think that on a really hot day it was too hot to be outside, but the outdoor area is great! Full of trees and plants.
Also love the decor inside, and cool atmosphere.
Highly recommend!

$7.60 for an espresso and a latte with little resemblance to their actual titles. The latte comprised of a full cup of frothed milk and the espresso appearing to be 3ml of coffee rather than the standard 30ml.

Maybe if the price had one less zero to refelct the quality, the coffee might have been justified but unfortunately not.

Very disappointing experience

Bland and boring. This place feels like it has been left behind in terms of creativity with food. This would have been great and would have stood apart from the rest 10 years ago but unfortunately has not moved on, especially with what's happening with cafe culture in brunswick and the rest of thornbury

Came here after hearing rave reviews from many years ago. Coffee was ok, definitely not the best. The food was horrendous. I got the smoked salmon bagel and forced myself to eat it despite being rock hard and stale. My partner got the vegan tofu) scramble. It was shredded dry tofu on dry toast. No sauce, very little seasoning. Some of the staff was really lovely about it but others were basically ignoring our concerns. Wouldn t recommend unfortunately, since it is a rather beautiful looking cafe.
