My girlfriend and I went on the ONE HOUR trail ride and we thought it was horrible. She has a little experience riding while I had only been on a horse a couple times. The guides didn't introduce themselves and didn't seem to care. A 6-8 year old boy almost got thrown off his horse and got hurt and they didn't even rush over to help. The horses seem like robots and just go with the flow. Near the end of the ride there is a sign asking for tips, which I thought was unnecessary and in poor taste. Personally we didn't have any problems with our horses but the overall experience was fair at best and not exciting and just not what we expected. Maybe the longer more private rides are better but I doubt it. Would not recommend.

I couldn't believe those nasty reviews ;we fell in love with these people and go back repeatedly ; if they didn't want a history lesson , they simply could have said so . These people know and love horses and couldn't be more accommodating to their customers ; they were probably just trying to make the experience more interesting . The world is full of nasty ignorant people unfortunately .......Jeff and Amy

We did the private sleigh ride. Danielle and her daughter Ashley were our friendly hosts. Riley and Tony were our lovely horses. They took us in a romantic sleigh ride through the snow with hot chocolate, laughs and beautiful views. The sleigh ride was incredible! The ranch is beautiful & large. The staff members are delightful! They had hot chocolate, tea, coffee and s mores. We will be back in the summer for horseback riding!

Prices are very reasonable compared to other places. We loved it here! Our experience was great. Friendly staff and guides. Horses are well taken care of. I like that they make inexperienced riders watch a quick safety video first, most places don't do that and I think it's important to give your riders some education. We will most definitely be back again, Thanks for the fun experience guys! :-)

Can t say enough about this place. We didn t want your run of the mill assembly line horse trail ride. We drove the extra time to come here and it was so worth it! The staff was great, the horses were beautiful and well taken care of. As far as the trails... it s nature people.. what do you expect!? This is the ONLY place near Lake George that actually takes you out for the experience! Well worth the money, great way to spend a few hours, thank you guys so much! Can t wait to explore those new trails next time we come!

Such a great experience! As a traveler customer service is a biggie for me and this place delivered! The young lady on the phone was beyond helpful with assisting me making reservations. She was very easy going and understanding. The horses were beautiful especially Dundy ! The ranch is well kept and even the porta potty was extremely clean. Thank you for the great service and amazing experience. We will be returning soon

Pretty much exactly what I expected for a trail ride.

Watched a brief instructional video in a western-themed room before starting. They have helmets available you can use if you want to - children have to wear them.

You cannot go into the barn and look at the horses. The horses are brought out into a small pen where everyone gets on and starts the ride, and you get off there at the end as well.

Our ride had about 10 people on it, plus 2 guides. One guide rode at the front of the group, one at the back.

Guides were relatively friendly, very young - I think one was in high school.

The horses are typical trail horses - don't listen to anything you tell them to do and just follow very closely to the horse in front of them. We walked slowly the whole time.

The ride was 90% in the woods which makes it not too bad on hot days. They had fly masks on the horses during the trail ride, which I liked - I've ridden and owned horses for most of my life and many trail ride places don't take very good care of their horses.

They do not allow you to take cell phones, cameras, purses, or anything like that with you on the ride -- so you won't be able to take any pictures during the ride.

There's one porta-potty outside the barn, no facilities inside.

My family and I went hear one day on vacation and out trail ride was wonderful. The owner Malcolm and our guide Jeanette were super informative and very friendly as was every other staff member that we interacted with. We did have to wait a little while before hitting the trail because someone had called in but we were okay with that. It gave us some time to pet the horses, learn their names and feed the goats! The trail ride itself brought us through fields and woods with one small bridge crossing. It is all just walking, no trotting or galloping occurs. That is what we expected going in though. Most riders in our group were new to riding horses.

First off, I'm from NYC, never rode a horse. Don't think I've ever been as close to a horse as I was here either. But none of that mattered. The horses are all really well trained, they are very calm and relaxed. We were given a quick rundown on how to control the horse which was fairly simple. To give you some perspective, there was a 7 year old that got their own horse.

The trail ride itself was beautiful. I don't want to ruin your experience so I'll just leave it at that.

The ranch also has some very friendly and personable goats that you can pet very easily, especially if you have food (grass).

In all, a very nice place and a great location for a true sense of horseback riding in nature.

My friend and I were able to schedule a trail ride with only several days notice. Our guide, Anthony, was great and answered all of our questions. The fall foliage and trails were beautiful. The horses seemed well cared for and appeared happy to do their jobs. I definitely recommend Circle B Ranch for a wonderful trail ride.

Fantastic place to ride...healthy well-treated horses lovely wooded Adirondack trails, and good instruction prior to setting out. I've owned and trained horses in the past and know what I'm talking about. A must-do. People with me were mostly non-riders

We visited Circle B Ranch on July 22 and had a great day. The horses were clean and gentle and gave us a great ride. The guides were excellent and the ranch was clean and well run. We would recommend this ranch to anyone looking for a fun afternoon in the Lake George area. We look forward to another ride next time we are in the area!

our guide was very nice, but he spent more time stopping and telling us adirondack mtn trivia than actually trail riding ... i will go thru another trail ride company next time. if i wanted a history lesson, i wouldn't have paid $80 for 2 of us to trail ride.

This is a nice little stable with knowledgeable and nice people. They can teach anything; English, Western and Driving - which is hard to find. Their rates are reasonable and they care about their horses. They even have an indoor ring in case of bad weather!

My husband and I went on a 2-hour ride with tour guide, Garret. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful to us as I had never even been on a horse before and my husband had not been on one in over 20 years. It was an absolutely amazing experience. I cannot express how happy we were. We highly recommend Circle B Ranch. They do offer 1-hour rides as well but personally we thoroughly enjoyed the 2-hour ride. It was so wonderful the time flew by. Thank you so much to everyone at Circle B Ranch!!

Great local ranch. Took their time when selecting the right horse to the rider even when it came to my 8 year old daughter that has never riden before. They had here one on one with the owner and her horse before even putting her on. The ride was about an hour and was great for beginners. I would highly recommend to anyone that has little to no experience.

Horrible riding experience!!! This place does not care about their horses or the riders!!! We had a reservation at 4:00 pm. The ride started at 4:45. No one from the staff said anything about what was going on during the delay.
No bathroom in the place and no way to buy water bottle.
It was a group of 8 people with 1 guide. I was the last rider with a horse that I was told was lazy. The horse was struggling most of the ride, tripped seriously couple of times and refused to move at times. She was either overworked, old or sick. The guide had no idea what was going on because he was way ahead. The people in the back did not hear anything the guide was saying.

I'm very dissapointed with the conditions of this place. I left before even going on the trail. I have worked with horses for 9 years, these horses are not cared for properly. Their hooves are unkempt and overgrown and are in desperate need of a fariers attention. I saw an open gash on a horses leg that was covered in flies. The horse was clearly in distress and the wound should be wrapped. I saw another horse with a very paulful looking sore behind his elbow due to friction from the girth rubbing against his skin so much. The horses are left with all of their riding gear on in the open sun for the ENTIRE day (was confirmed by a worker) with no breaks. All of the horses are in a pen with no gates to stop them from leaving. If not they are tied to the fence with no access to water or grass for extended periods of time. I arrived early and they were running late so I had a good amount of time to observe the place. I'm sure the place means well and gives good trail rides but from what I saw the horses health and comfort is not taken into consideration. Go at your own discression but please consider the horses and their lack of care before going.

Great place to experience horseback riding. It was quite a drive to get there was it was worthy. My children and my 70 years old mother had a blast. They were extremely patient explaining the do's & how's of riding a horse, especially since we were all first time riders. They provide you with different size helmets and spray sanitizer. They lady in the reception is great, very welcoming and efficient. Trust me, at first I was a bit hesitant to bring my kids and mom, but the horses in the ranch are very mellow and well trained. We did not have the opportunity to meet the owner, but the young man helping us out was fantastic. The tiny downside was that, the road we took for a ride, was full of bushes and muddy terrain. I'd wished it had been a more open place with a better view, but hey, we still enjoyed it and had a wonderful memory.
Something to keep in mind is that, due to the covid pandemic, the restroom facilities were closed during our visit, I guess you gotta make sure to take care of business before going.

We took the sleigh ride and found it well worth the money. You get a good long ride through the Adirondack forest with hot beverages, a s'mores bar and cookies at the end. The driver was friendly and answered all our questions.

I gave my husband, for a surprised Valentine's gift, a sleigh ride at Circle B Ranch. He was very surprised. We had a great time. Paul was very friendly and knowledgeable. The carriage was comfortable. Sarah, our driver, was so sweet, friendly and also knowledgeable. The scenery was beautiful and horses were so sweet. I would recommend this to anyone. It was a memorable experience. Great time.
