Tasty, healthy, local food and great quirky atmosphere. Love to give business to a worker-owned restaurant.
A great little place! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing! Everything they use is from local businesses. My potato boat was delicious!!!
This was our first time at this restaurant. We were traveling to NC and stayed overnight at the James Madison Hotel. We actually left the restaurant of the hotel because of the poor service and I Googled diners near me. I selected The Little Grill Collective since it was close by and the rating was good. The service was great and the food was Awesome! We will make this our yearly stop! Thank you
Wonderful place to stop and eat. Really delicious food. Friendly staff. I would recommend the Little Grill to anyone.
When Bob Hope came to Harrisonburg some years back, he insisted on being taken to the Little Grill as an experience with local color.it's where the really cool people in Harrisonburg hang out, at least one brand of them. You'll see hippies, Mennonites, artists, and people in to various causes. The decor is eclectic vintage 50's. The menu is an unusual selection of healthy foods, you can get vegetarian and ethnic-inspired selections, all of which tastes good. The cafe went employed owned several years back.
Good vibe, good people, good food! Couldn't ask for more.
The service was excellent, but they re not so good on their vegan options. I had the tofu scramble and the soysage, I think they could improve on the flavors. The decor wasn t very appealing, I definitely wouldn t bring small children in there, lots of satanic pictures and symbols. Not a place for Christians, very worldly.
Our favorite place to eat in Harrisonburg. Everything is fresh, largely local, and really tasty.
The Little Grill Collective is a Harrisonburg staple that should not be missed if you are in town. This is a quirky little restaurant with interesting and tasty food made with locally sourced ingredients. The staff all seem to really get along and work as a team to serve customers and keep a cool vibe in the place. Breakfast and lunch are both excellent options here, and there is a bulletin board with all of the local events in town.
This is easily the best restaurant around! They always satisfy with flavorful, healthy, local dishes. It s very vegetarian friendly, but meat eaters are always happy here too. I love introducing this place to friends and family, because I know they ll always deliver.
LGC is cute and cozy. It s worth the wait, if there is one. The menu is continually updated and is shaped around seasonal goods, which make the food even more comforting. The coffee is the best in town too! You absolutely need to have breakfast here, but try it for lunch too!
My waitress was so sweet and the food was phenomenal
Every time we visit Harrisonburg, we always attempt to make a trip here. The food is always delicious and out quick, and the atmosphere and decor is awesome. Definitely visit if you re in the area in the morning for breakfast!
A downtown Harrisonburg staple. The food and atmosphere are truly unique, with plenty of vegan options as well as a few gluten free options. They often have live music, showcasing a variety of local musicians. It is a small space, though, so if you go at a peak time, expect to wait.
Love love love!!! As a vegan, I can attest that this place knows what they're doing. It is far from boring here. The Lambert's platter is amazing. I could eat it for all three meals. Delicious. The only issue with this establishment would be the wait time, but it is well worth it. The staff is great and accommodating as well. I have brought nonvegans here as well and they loved their food also. I highly recommend checking it out.
Great restaurant with good prices. What's not to like?
Cute little diner with a good menu and high quality ingredients.
Favorite breakfast joint in Harrisonburg. Delicious food, super friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Small and welcoming, great vegatarian options!!!
Delicious vegetarian fare. Nice vibe. Decent prices.
Amazing food, great service. Highly recommended. Diverse menu and emphasis on local providers.
My favorite breakfast place in town. Love the yummy omelets they have and the crispy yet soft potatoes that come with them. Makesure to bring cash and get ready for having a long wait especially on Sunday mornings.
Cool hole in the wall place on the outskirts of downtown Harrisonburg. The omelet I had was very good and it was priced extremely well. Service was very fast and courteous.
The Little Grill Collective is a good spot for great food. This place is tiny so get there early on busy mornings.
So cute! The food was delicious! I didn't know what to expect but the really nice server recommended the grits and they were amazing! I went with my son and he had the breakfast burrito and he loved it. Lots of vegetarian option. Unique flavors that go really well together. Cute and casual atmosphere. I plan on being a regular.
Some of the menu items are good and very good quality. There's a pleasant, though often bustling, atmosphere. I appreciate the young Owner/Worker's kind entrepreneurship.
Good food, local hangout. Get there early for breakfast, though, as there is usually a line on weekends!
This place is owner owned which ensures quality.
The food is excellent and locally sourced.
I'll always rave about Little Grill to anyone looking for some amazing breakfast or lunch. Awesome and super friendly wait staff, and delicious organic/vegan/vegetarian/local options!
Breakfast: We got the Chili & Cheese Omlet & The Brickers Son on the suggestion of our server that the chili was amazing. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere was definitely artsy/eclectic/vintage, so don't expect super tidy or a modern feel. Service was friendly, food was good.
Great cozy atmosphere, excellent service, coffee is delicious, breakfast is cooked the right way, cool hula hoops
When to Harrisonburg to get away from Richmond. Friend took me to the Little Grill.Met many nice and friendly people there. Good food ! When in Harrisonburg it's a Must to eat here.
Delicious, fresh, local food with a quirky, awesome vibe! Always good for the soul!
I love everything about this place. Great vegan and vegetarian food, super cute atmosphere, really friendly staff. Check, check, check
I've eaten their food a few times which was really delicious. breakfast was great. But to be completely honest, I only come here for the cookies. Those cookies I tell you, amazing! Cute little cafe with VG/V/GF options.
A short detour for us to enjoy great place with awesome food, not to mention a local business that is doing it right: using local ingredients, all compostable packaging, vegan and vegetarian options. Highly recommended!
Great food, Inexpensive, and fantastic decor/atmosphere!
I have been there a few times before and loved my experience there. But I went a few days ago and sat at the table for 5 minutes without anyone coming to greet us. People that came in two minutes after us got their water, coffee, and order taken before anyone came to our table. I am a server and know that things get hectic sometimes but the servers kept looking at us and wouldn't ask if we had been helped. I am very disappointed because I loved all of my previous visits but I will most likely not be back.
Great local food and amazing service in the Harrisonburg downtown area.... The omelets are great... The food is farm fresh for sure. We will definitely come here again! I will add a photo on the next trip for sure.
One of my favorite places to go in Harrisonburg. Delicious food, wonderful staff / owners, comfortable, easy atmosphere. I highly recommend
Excellent food, this is someplace you have to go if your partial to food at all
Cool atmosphere! Really good food and kombucha tea!
This place is such a place to be...to stop pretending, to eat good food that is made with good ingredients, to talk with people who matter and even listen to music to feed the soul!
The little grill collective is an employee owned restaurant in a cozy spot near downtown Harrisburg. The menu is filled with local ingredients and heavily veggie friendly. Really good pancakes...the pumpkin pancakes in the fall are the best pancakes I've ever had.
A few vegan options. Tasty American vegan breakfast.
First time there for breakfast. Friendly staff and delicious food.
Fantastic staff, great food, and a friendly atmosphere! This is my favorite breakfast spot in Harrisonburg, hands down.
Awesome, unique little restaurant that is vegan and vegitarian friendly but also offers some meat options.
The menu is different compared to other restaurants since this restaurant has a lot of vegetarian/vegan options but it was delicious. A lot of choices and all of the food we had was delicious. Will definitely be going back.
Good quality food, locally sourced ingredients... Vegetarian options.
Do you like things that taste good but might kill you? If you answered "Yes" then this ain't the spot for you. Do you like things that taste good and ARE good for you? Stop by The Little Grill for a better version of the choices you make everytime you go out to eat.
Consistently delicious food. Hearty meals and budget friendly. Great coffee and service! Locally supported agriculture.
Liked the atmosphere. Very local feel and quirky unique vibe. Potato cake and the whole wheat buttermilk biscuit were very good. The rest of meals were...ok. Eggs a bit over cooked. Ordered a side of blue berries and was very disappointed that they seemed to be frozen or from a can. On the whole it was a decent meal. If we lived in the area I would try it again but mainly for the atmosphere. Feel like breakfast may not give the full scale of experience as the have a Mexi night and I think live music. Also seem to cater well to vegan diets.
The quality of the food is always excellent as Is the creativity of the menu. The atmosphere is very welcoming and has a strong sense of community which is a credit to the staff and the other people who frequent this place.
You must have the blue monkey (blueberry banana) pancakes and go there on mexi night
The food is wonderful and I always see people I like here. I'm an ethnic hippie, so this is my soul food.
Tuesdays all you can eat Mexi night in the Summers is a must! So yummy!
Busy place with a a variety of choices on the menu.
A little over priced but ....farm to table so I'm happy to visit them often. Get there early and avoid weekends. Always a line!
My husband and I make a point to have breakfast here together once a week. Great atmosphere & even better food! Try the breakfast burrito or love omlet! Did I forget to mention they have the BEST PANCAKES I'VE EVER TASTED!
Great gluten free and vegetarian options. Long line for brunch but worth the wait!
Very good natural food. We went on Native American food night and it was awesome. Live bands! Where Old Crow Medicine Show is from!
This is a quaint restaurant providing affordable prices, large serving sizes, and quality service. The place is a little crammed but the hole-in-the-wall feel is part of the experience. I would recommend this as a morning breakfast stop for a pair of friends and probably no more than a group of 6.
Soooo good!! Loved the tofu scramble! The buckwheat pancake was amazing too!
Great food. I'm sad that they ran out of noodles though. Kid friendly.
We time our trips from Syracuse to Raleigh so the time is right to stop at Little Grill. The atmosphere is eclectic and fun, the people working there all seem to enjoy their job and the food ranges from damn good to really damn good. Don't miss out on the chicken burrito and the ginger lemonade.
Whenever I come back from backpacking this is a MUST stop on the way back to DC. I only get breakfast because the pancakes are incredible! Especially the seasonal ones. It is always busy, there is always a wait, but usually not more than 30 min and it's so worth it. Really nice staff, always happy. The only thing that would make this place more perfect is if they took amex. They are so great though I can't deduct a star for that. Keep up great work folks!
The Little Grill provides wonderful options for a variety of diets. Not only are their menu items delicious, but they are relatively inexpensive, especially for the portion size. I never leave hungry or dissatisfied.
For those who worry that it's only catered towards vegetarians, they have sausage and other dishes that contain meat so don't let the vegetarian label ward you off!
If looking for a comfy and casual place to grab a meal, the Little Grill is a perfect fit. It's truly a gem of Harrisonburg.
Went here Easter morning expecting a line out the door but surprisingly we were able to get a table immediately. For the two of us we ordered a lot of food but it was all worth it. Before I continue, I want to point out that this was the best breakfast I have ever had in Harrisonburg and one of the best breakfasts Ive had my whole life. Please don't think I am exaggerating. It all started with the comfortable seating, uniquely designed tables and comfortable sound level. Then came the coffee and that is when I realized we were in for something wholesome and satisfying. We ordered a tall order of Banana Walnut pancakes, a short order of the Blue Monkey pancakes, a side order of one egg scrambled, a side order of cheesy eggs and some spicy potatoes. We read that all foods were made with local ingredients that were specified on back of the menu. The pancakes were done perfectly and you could taste all the ingredients in the first savory bite. The eggs were perfect as well and we add ketchup to our pancakes which always makes things tasty but this was different. The ketchup was also homemade in house and had a totally different texture than other ketchup out there. The spicy potatoes were excellent and had the right amount of spiciness to them. All the food was outstanding and we had a lot to take home with us. The only catch with the whole place is that they only take cash and check so make sure you go to the ATM before. For all that food mentioned it was $21 so the price was on point as well.
One of the staples of Harrisonburg. Fills up fast on the weekends. Robust menu for all tastes, highly recommend.
The Little Grill is always worth a visit. The staff is friendly, the ambiance is casual and cool, and the food is fantastic. There are options for vegetarians and carnivores alike, with an emphasis on fresh, local products. Seasonal selections of vegetables and pancakes make multiple visits a must. The price is inexpensive and everything is completely wonderful.
Parking can be challenging, but there's a large retail lot a block away, and usually some street parking. Brunch on weekends is always busy, but you can get in line virtually on the NoWait app, which also gives expected wait times. A Harrisonburg landmark!!
Amazing food. We re here visiting and saw the good reviews which is what brought us here in the first place. There was a 30 minute wait for a party of two at 9am on a Sunday but you can join the waitlist when you re a mile away. They don t take to go orders when there s a wait btw. The food was definitely worth the wait!!!! So good. (I got the French toast and my boyfriend got the egg sandwich with cheese and sausage. The home fries are really good with the seasoning that comes on it!)
Driving up from Roanoke I had plenty of time to look at reviews. This little place doesn't disappoint. Several previous patrons had good experiences with the same dish so I played it safe and had the same. Maybe next time I'll be more adventurous.
I love Little Grill. Breakfast burrito for the win. Worth the inevitable wait!
I should preface with I don't love breakfast food. Their homefries are delish. However, as a vegan, there are not too many variations to order. I wish the vegan pancakes were just normal and not buckwheat and that they had more choices. I can only eat here once in a while because it's boring to eat the same dish.
Have enjoyed all of the yummy breakfasts I've eaten there! Great service and good food.
The food is scrummy, yummy, local, the service cheerful, & the vibe so groovy!!
I always love coming to this establishment, they always smile and greet you like you are family, and the food well it is always so fresh and delicious, they have menu items for everyone from meat lovers to vegans, I cannot emphasize enough how special this place is, I recommend it to everyone who asks if there is a good restaurant in town, it's always my first recommendation!
