Limestone Grille Review

Had to send my grilled chicken back because it wasn't cooked until it was done. I was afraid to eat it.

It's a very homie place with great waitresses.great food and host.

Found this place on the way to my nieces, this will be a stop from now on between Lexington and Knoxville. The frog legs are amazing! The limestone pinwheels are amazing!! Fried mushrooms are amazing! Worth the stop for the pie alone. Sorry my wife and mother in law dove into it before I could a photo.

The atmosphere is great, drinks served in ball canning jars. Service was amazing and great. Worth the stop and your belly will thank you for it!

Worst food I've ever put in my mouth, an it took 45 minutes to get the hamburger an fries,how can you make such a greasy burger,? Dump a quart of cantaloupe on it! Nasty! An the tea was weak an tasted Luke soap!water! The plate my nasty burger was on,still had dried egg on it! The manager walk around the restraint staring at everyone,it was very bizarre! An we will NEVER go back terrible place! HEY everybody drive on to Berea an eat at crackerbarrel, or dinner bell so much better! !!!! Please take my word for it this place is awful,!!!!!!

Great food took to long for the bill and got orders wrong. Good service just slow!

Nice cold lettuce salad, great baked potato and very tasty sirlion steak, cooked just as I asked. Fried catfish was very good also. Definitely would eat here again.

I have been here twice and both times the service was bad. It is not as quality as they lead you to believe and customer service is not there moto. Mediocre food at best.

Stopped and decided to try something "off the beaten path" while traveling. The service was amazing! Our waitress was more than happy to get us anything we asked for, even more bananas for our 2 year old daughter!
My husband had the pork tenderloin special which was 2 pork tenderloins, fries apples, potatoes and biscuits and gravy. I had the veggie plate that I shared with my daughter. We had more than enough food to go around and spent less than $30 including the tip.
We have decided the next time we are in the area, we are definitely going to make the stop for more good old country cooking!

Lunch special was supposed to be served hot but was not. Had to send it back to be heated up. Disappointed.

Just off the highway (I-75 in Kentucky), easy off & on!! One of those amazing spots that you need to frequent whenever in the area. Best fried green tomatoes to the point that you'll order 1-to-go!! Stop in for lunch or dinner as we did on our way to and from vacation in TN. Check it out, you will be amazed!!

Very cozy and comfortable. Excellent waitress. Outstanding biscuits and gravy.

I had the hillbilly tacos for a very reasonable $5. My wife had the farmers plate and we shared some fried green tomatoes. The tea was served in a wide mouth Mason jar. Prices were excellent and the servers were extremely polite. It is a little hard to find. Tucked up on a hill, of the interstate, but worth the hunt. Great stop on a trip home from Gatlinburg.

Food had no flavor, and my meal was made wrong. Not having a cow about it, but don't think I will eat here again.

We are newbie's tried limestone Grill ...We got delivery ordered a whole tray of peach cobbler it was still hot when we got it !! Best we ever had very delicious!! Also ordered the salmon i was impressed it was yummy !! Highly recommended we thought it was a great find new to the area will be ordering again....

Loved the food, loved our server, absolutely loved the price and portion sizes. I highly recommend, especially if you're heading up from Tennessee or down. We stopped at a gas station on the way and it just so happened to be across from Limestone Grille. I was so happy we made it back on the way back home to try it again. Loved it the first time and loved it even more the second time. Their burgers are excellent! Didn't get any pictures of my second stop but I will post from my first!

The Steak was amazingly tender and had the perfect amount of seasoning.

Our favorite place to eat when we go south to Gatlinburg! It s a planned stop during our vacation. Everything tastes great! Service is wonderful. Everyone makes you feel at home.

We're not from the area, but were looking for a good local place to eat while passing through. A quick google search and a few minutes later and we were dining at this unique, clean and affordable restaurant. The food was GREAT! Highly recommended.

What a great find. This place is decorated cool & has good food. Loved the fried green tomatoes! And the open face roast beef was the tenerest and flavorist beef I've had.

I had the chicken fried chicken and my wife has the salmon special both were excellent

People were friendly and the food was good. I had a BLT with the fried green tomatoes. They have a nice bar with glass panel garage doors. I assume they open them during the warm months, but it was cold outside and a bit nippy in the bar area. There wasn't any heat on being the bar section was really open yet. It also had a smokey smell from the fireplace

Great rib eye steak! Prices were reasonable and the service was great to.

About the 5th visit hear, every other time the food was really good this time four out of four plates had cold food and the chicken livers were way over cooked

Delicious!!!!! The absolute only complaint that I have is that the water is so awful that it affects every single drink, but they do have bottled options. The burgers and catfish are the best!!

Great menu options! Get to order some meals that are not widely available. Good prices! My meal was very delicious. Wonderful value. Huge servings. I would love to eat here again when I am in the area. I would probably go out of my way to eat here. If you are in the area, you should give it a try!

Food is always good, liver dinner with green tomatos and broccoli is pretty good their fried pickles is always cooked perfect.

Beautiful view from the outside balcony. The food and service was fantastic. Leslie was so sweet and she took great care of us. Best restaurant we have been to on our roadtrip, would recommend to anyone.

I wanted to like it. but the food was only okay
the service was really slow.
And the two times I've been there I had to find my server to get a check because I'd been done with my meal for about 20 minutes and really needed to get going so I wouldn't be late.
I give two stars and not one because the food was okay.
their water filter doesn't get rid of the rockcastle water taste, so don't get coffee or tea, go with a soft drink.

Right off the interstate. Very reasonably priced with a pretty decent selection of food. It's a very clean establishment. My only complaint was that the service was a little slow, but everyone was very nice. It's the only place I've ever seen Hillbilly Tacos

We were on our way home to Ohio from seeing family in Hazard. We decided we wanted to eat at a sit down restaurant. Boy am I glad we did! The Limestone Grille has amazing food and not to mention the nicest/sweetest staff. It also has a homey atmosphere. One of the best places I ve been to in years. If you want a place where you feel like family and great food then come to The Limestone Grille, you won t be disappointed I guarantee you that.

Had the Chicken, bacon ranch panini sandwich.It was very good.

Fried green tomatoes, need I say more, lol. Honestly they have some of the best food around for a great price and love the ambiance.

Ok. Loved it. Not fancy, but homemade southern style wonderful food. Soup beans, fried corncakes, sweet tea. DELICIOUS! We're even planning our return trip to hit this area at lunch!

Pleasantly surprised. We had a long drive and limestone grill was open late! The staff was friendly. We got two veggie plates. The sweet potatoes were baked well, the broccoli gave us something healthy and since we were in KY we had fried green tomatoes and okra. Very good. Not greasy. They must keep the fryer clean and at the right temp. This place also has very good iced tea and nice big windows. Bathrooms were clean. No complaints. Would stop again.

We stumbled on this place when we got off the freeway. We were tired and starving and our server was so wonderful. The menu was extensive. We ordered the fried green tomatoes. Awesome. My steak was great. Our boys loved the frog legs. The prices were ridiculously reasonable. The atmosphere was inviting and adorable and they put special touches in everything. Wish we had room for the homemade dessert and we wish their was one in Ohio! We will definitely make it a point to stop again on our next trip down South.

We were regulars who come in at least every other week. We visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and we had quite possibly the worst service you could ask for. The service was poor, all the servers had horrible attitudes, not to mention we didn't get part of the food but we ordered. Once we mentioned it too our server she never once apologized and proceeded to roll her eyes. My money will be spent else where and will not recommend anyone to ever go to this place.

Servers was horrible it took over 30 mins to get drinks and order taken. After we was done eating it waited for 45 mins for check never got it. Finally i walked up front and asked for it. Food is alright service deserves negative score if i could give one.

Tyler was a great waiter and the food was great home cooking. Great prices ! Will stop by here again.

Food and staff were amazing! Everything was clean and spacious, and the patio area was so calming and peaceful! Highly recommend the chicken bacon ranch because it was delicious. Our waitress even brought out "mermaid water" aka pink lemonade to our 2 and 5 year old daughters, we will be returning!

Quality is variable. Fried foods are excellent, hillbilly tacos are covered in too-sweet sauce and on pancakes, not corn cakes. Desserts are awful, artificially flavored and sweetened. Go for the catfish, frog-legs, shrimp, and fried pickles. Have dessert somewhere else!
