Sad... This place came recommended by folks at an area attraction. They definitely did not put their best foot forward today. I arrived, was seated promptly, took a few minutes to look over the menu for the 1st time, drinks were delivered and the order was taken within five minutes. At the the time I came in there were 4 other tables seated, I made 5. There were at least 3 servers, 2 girls cleaning tables/bringing clean dishes from to the kitchen, and a greeter, plus whoever was in the kitchen. A table of 8 then came in, a group of 5, a couple and a table of 3 -- all after me. ...and we waited. After 10 minutes the server refilled drinks and 10 more minutes later came back to refill drinks and said they were short-handed, but it shouldn't be long. Another 10 minutes the table of 8 was served, and then the couple. A different server ask if I needed anything --- food... She said she would check on it. A few minutes later she said that it shouldn't be long, that they were short-handed. The comment was made that other people were already getting their food before me. She assured us that my food would be next. 10 more minutes -- the table of 3 got the same dish that I ordered. We decided if they also got their food before we got our appetizer, we were leaving. You guessed it. Here came their food. I left $6 on the table for drinks and walked out. There wasn't even anybody attending the front of house to ask what was wrong. Thank you, Arby's (across the street)! Our food was good, hot and fast. It wasn't my first choice, but it turned out to be the choice that actually produced food...

Delicious, down-home cooking, and great, friendly service. Loved the Hillbilly Tacos and onion rings. Will definitely be stopping here again. Wife loved the fresh fried green tomatoes seen in pic.

Our waitress was outstanding, food was excellent, drinks were strong, pretty nice view (get a table by the window), and the price was just as excellent as the food (it looks like it will be expensive, it's actually really reasonable). We will visit again and we live well over an hour away.

One of the worst restaurant service experiences that I have ever had. We waited over an hour for our food after ordering - and this was not during what would be considered "rush hour". My husband's steak was not cooked to order, my daughter's burger and fries were cold, and my "marinated" chicken was beyond overcooked. We didn't want to send anything back for fear of waiting another 45 minutes for our food. The sides were ok, but the server waited until the food came out before letting me know, upon my asking, that there were no baked potatoes.

Quite possibly the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant, and the food was no where near the quality expected. A terrible let down.

Best decision to stop here! Great food we got mostly fried food but it wasn't heavy or greasy at all. Thought we were full after the appatizers then they brought out the entrees. We ate just about everything. Large portions perfectly done. It was obvious there was a classically trained chef in the kitchen to perfect these southern delights.

The waitress was great! But the food was not. Asked for medium on 3 different plates and all was well done. My cheese was so melted on the hamburger it didn't have a taste. The salads didn't even have cheese on them.

Well I have read most of the reviews on here and they all seem pretty good.however I wasn't please at all with the breakfast. and I don't think the cooks know how to read simple directions from the wait staff. I guess you don't get your food the way you order it but how they want to cook it. Was not impressed by the food at all. Now for serving staff. Absolutely wonderful, smiles every where. Pleasant and friendly. My server Jessica was amazing. But when I asked her if there was any other place besides here to eat in this town she said that this was the only sit down restaurant in town. So as a traveler you really have no choice but to eat here. Or fast food places....
So if you really want to have a great breakfast and have the time go up the Rd about 15 ml and eat

We spent all day hiking and I skipped all of the food exits and then we got stuck in traffic and my friends were yelling at me so we got off when we saw the sign for the Limestone Grill. Let me tell you, God himself blessed this place and the blackberry cobbler. The food and service could not have been more amazing. My friends stopped yelling at me as soon as the fried green tomatoes touched the table. I will be making the trip here from Louisville twice a week. Minimum.

I took a group from my job of elderly/stroke/Alzheimer's patients and was treated like family. Food was amazing. Large servings. Down home cooking. Everyone went home stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey.. Staff was amazing, and we apologize for any messes our group may have left behind. Thanks and kudos to Limestone grill and the staff!!!!

Wow, 5 stars. They had healthy choices and plenty of hand battered fried choices. Who would have guessed a family run restaurant up on a hill next to the freeway could be so good. Look up the hill behind the Shell Gas station. We loved this family run restaurant. The food, ambiance, price and service is spectacular. The large servings of food was so good we talked to the owner afterwards. He told us they shop local farmers markets for the food. He also said it s all home made, not processed. We could tell a lot of love went into this place. The stonework, handmade chairs, tin barn doors and the authentic barn wood trim was all quality crafted. Friday nights include live music on the beautiful back stonework patio. Bring Fido to join you on the patio. If we lived anywhere nearby we d eat here all the time.

Love the place I am a repeat customer the food never disappoints and the service is always great. And with the new bar added on it just makes it a little better now you can have a good home cooked meal and a nice drink before you head to a show at renfrovally witch makes it more convenient but all and all its just a great place

Amazing grill. VERY reasonable prices. My husband got a steak that was great, but my chicken fried chicken was perfection. The portion sizes were on the smaller side, but the perfect amount for me. The waitress was very friendly and service was quick. We will definitely visit again if we are ever in the area again.

Excellent local place with friendly staff. I had the Hillbilly Tacos. Pretty good, but not as good as my wife s Valley burger, which was one of the best either of us ever had. Will return if we are ever in the area again.

The food was alright. Our waitress was Lindsey. She was a pleasure to have. She is polite and went out of her way to make sure we were pleased. The food I give a 3 the waitress I give a 5 star.

Absolutely excellent. At first I was afraid since there were only so many good reviews I thought they would be relatives commenting but I can assure you this restaurant was legendary. The service was exceptional and the hospitality was very heartfelt. Not to mention the burger I had was creative and the best twist on a black and blue burger I've ever had. I also had frog legs for the first time which were quite good and fresh. For the lil extra time it took to make an order the waitress happily gave us a homemade blackberry cobbler which was absolutely dynamite. If you're traveling on I-75 GO TO LIMESTONE GRILLE!

Food was just okay. Typical for a privately owned restaurant in this area of KY. Waitress was friendly. Food was slow. Most deserts on he menu were not available. I get the impression most of these 'great" reviews on here must be from friends and family.

Outdoor balcony/deck seating had a decent view but it had a two foot wood railing around it with a one foot bench that kids like to climb on. A child could easily topple over to a 25-35 foot fall straight down. This has to be the most dangerous thing I've ever seen at a restaurant. Keep your kids away from the outdoor area! If kids stand on the bench that wraps around the railing their knees are at the top of the railing. One bump or off balance move and it's a straight down a vertical cliff. The railing needs to be redone before some kid or adult gets killed there.

Great food and service. Super affordable. Plenty of options appetizers salads sandwiches and entrees. Next time we want to sit in the patio area with the fireplace. Our area was dark needs some update on lighting in the middle section. My chicken breast was tender and cut with a fork tender. My husband got the sirloin and it was cooked right !
Going back soon.
