Limestone Grille Review

Nice restaurant with great food. The chicken livers were very good.

Food was delicious. Very clean. Price was reasonable. Nice and cozy.

Service is VERY SLOW, go early if you are going to a show at Renfo Valley. It is not the servers that are slow, but the kitchen area is either way understaffed or bad management. Also, if you order ANYTHING that has a batter mix on it, be sure to tell them when ordering, that you want A LIGHT BATTER on it, especially froglegs, catfish and fried green tomatoes. It was the worst fried food I have ever had due to the HEAVY batter mix they used. I told our server about that when we left.

Waitress seated us and was very friendly. We asked to be repeated for view out window and and she happily did. Once we ordered, appetizers were ok, but cheese on cheese fries were cold and hard. When main meal came out, my sandwich did not have mayo and tomato I had requested, my husband never received A1 sauce or his salad. She apologized about forgetting salad and my husband requested mac n cheese instead of salad. 15 minutes later she returned with the mac n cheese after he was almost done with his steak and no A1. Never bought my mayo or tomato. Was not very busy, so that could not be used as an excuse.

Food was always great, but I cannot in good conscience support a business that willing sells alcohol.

Food was great service wasn't worth a nickel get your food to go!

My husband and I like to eat at local places when we are out. We saw this place on our way through and thought we would try it out. Worst service we have ever recieved (and we eat out around 2 times a week) I had to drink the melted water from my ice in order to have something to drink. When the waitress finally remembered to bring me water we were done with our food and rolled her eyes because I didn't want a to go water. Don't waste your time getting off the interstate here.

They have great food for a very affordable price.
I work a very demanding schedule which leaves me no time for meal prepping, there delivery service really saves me. I order from here multiple times through out my work week. The staff is always super friendly! I m on a low carb diet so I always have a difficult order for them. But they always get it correct with zero complaints.

Don't get breakfast here. We had an awful experience and heard the table behind us having the same issues.
Bacon was undercooked and biscuits were raw in the middle.
No sausage in the gravy.
Was told we could sub the hash browns out for other items, but were charged for them anyway even though we didn't get them.
Because the bacon was undercooked and we couldn't eat it, they brought out a new batch, which was nice, but then charged us for that as well.
Our empty drinks were never refilled and the waitress had a hard time with the orders from start to finish.

Pancakes were good though.

Always great service and wonderful food. Cavers are always welcome. A must stop for 5 star food. Keep up the great service.

Slow service food was ok wouldn't be my first place of choice I'd choose to drive to London or Berea to eat. Had to holler at a waitress for service she didn't realize we was there. Seated ourselves cause we didn't see anyone. Had the Robert it was good it had a lot of fat compared to other places I've ate steak at.

Service was a little slow and the black and blue burger was ok. The fries were yummy!! The back patio area was nice.

We stopped by on our way to Lexington, KY. Well worth the trip!! Why husband left his cell phone there and I called they answered and told us they would keep it safe until we were able to get the phone!! Good did and amazing service. Thank you for everything and we will be back!!

Great food and a very friendly staff. All for less than the big name fast food restaurants. Stop, visit, and enjoy. You won't regret it. If I have one complaint it would be, not enough lighting in the dining area.

I wasn't impressed with Limestone Grille. The waitress was great no problem with our service but the food was not up to par..Lukewarm and overdone is how I would describe my Mushroom Swiss burger and fries. When other customers come in after you..Order..Eat and Leave before you get your food. Then your order is botched. You feel like someone dropped the ball... It happens

It takes a lot to impress me with country cooking, but this place did. Maybe the best chicken fried chicken I've ever had. It was super tender and juicy. Mashed potatoes had a little texture, just the way I like them. Other than being a bit heavy handed with the salt, everything was well seasoned. Service was great too. I see now why my parents used to drive 30 minutes to eat here when I was a kid, though it had a different name then.

This place was super accommodating as I needed to use the wifi and was stuck in a traveling situation where I had to stop off the interstate. The servers were super helpful and kind. My one complaint was that the wine pour seemed less than a glass. I asked and was told they measure it out... Idk if maybe I am just so used to pouring my full glasses of wine at home so anyways I have a picture of what it was for reference in case that would be something that may encourage you to order a different beverage. The restroom also could have used some attention, especially during covid-19 I feel like restaurants to be spotless at all times and I'm a little bit more strict on that in my reviews now.

My wife and I discovered the Limestone Grille accidentally and I have to say it was an awesome discovery! Love the atmosphere, food and location! Great views from the outdoor dining area. Highly recommended!

This is the second time we have been here, same time last year got bad service and the food was awful, friend of ours had heard good things about from people that had been the night before and said it was great, against my better judgment we went back and the food and service were awful again, the only reason I gave it one star is because it doesn't have zero stars

We came here on the way home from the eclipse. The place was swamped and traffic was insane everywhere from people driving home from the centerline of eclipse. Needless to say they were overwhelmed, had only a few people working, to no fault of theirs. Service was obviously slow, confusion everywhere, food was mixed up, etc. And it was one of the most awesome things seeing the staff truly sweating and hustling trying to make everyone happy. They were as nice as can be and the jalapeno pinwheels, fried pickles, and green tomatoes were AMAZING. maybe the best we have ever had. Kudos to the staff and owner for taking care of us and hustling.

Had a long day of driving from Florida and took a chance at stopping overnight in Mt.Vernon. The gas station recommended the Limestone Grill and we are so happy they did. They were closing for the night but the owners kept the kitchen open just for us and our kids,they also let the waitress go home for the night and served us themselves! Great food, amazing catfish and I tried frog legs for the first time! They were great as well. We will definitely stop in again on another trip. We are so thankful for such friendly service after such a little no day.

Nice server, beautiful atmosphere by the fireplace! Food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
