My wife and I ate our way through the various sushi options on their menu. All of it was quite good, albeit a little pricey for what they offer. I have had the same quality from actual sushi restaurants for far less. However, I suppose here you are paying for the location.

A special thanks to our server, Lane, who was personable, funny, and attentive!

Phenomenal food, exceptional views of the mountains & water... staff have an eye for detail, were helpful & attentive. Be sure to give this establishment an evening during your week - it will not disappoint.

Lift is one of my favourite places to go for brunch and happy hour. The rooftop fire pit on the water is the perfect summer spot!! I highly recommend the fish & chips - best in the city!!

You can sit outside which is a bonus for me..especially during these COVID times. Lift offers a beautiful view looking out toward Stanley Park one of Vanvouvers finest attractions. The food is delicious. They also happy hour as well which I would recommend. I thorougjly enjoyed their pasta dish with prawns and scallops. The server we had was super helpful and he had a great sense pf humour to boot! Wish i could remember his name. After lunch or dinner....I recommend exploring your surroundings either by bike or just by walking. Its beautifuk!

Went with a group of 17. Prior we went on a horse drawn cartage, that picked up our group at the Lift. The hour and 15 minutes around Stanley Park. Was breathtaking at the slower speeds. We returned for lunch at the Lift. We had a set group menu, with 4 items. One was the hamberger with salad or fries. Burger was huge and amazingly good. One of the best have had. The fries fresh and crisp. The other meals were all enjoyed around the table. And, the view while dinning is fantastic. You are right on the ocean.

Will definitely return. Perhaps for a dinner and sunset in the summer.

Nice wine selection and pretty descent food. Nothing revolutionary, but the service was actually very good. The location on the water, well, that's what we were there for. Hard to beat rose and solid appetizers in this location. The food is relatively expensive for what it is, but you have to pay the rent, right?

The best restaurant in Vancouver. I come here every time I visit the city. Halibut was so delicious and the list of BC wines is outstanding. Too chilly for the rooftop tonight, but on a nice day, it's the best hang out in the city. Locals frequent here too, so not a tourist trap. The best!!!!

Extremely disappointing. +30min for food, super salty and greasy. Sat here 45mins git 1 coffee refill only after I asked.

This place is a joke all around. Disappointing last few hours in Vancouver.

One of the best patios in the city.

One of the best patios in the city.

We had a group of 9 out for a Bday dinner and it was solid all-around although the food and service isn't spectacular.

We ordered lot of food - 10 Appys and 9 main courses. Some quick comments:

+ ebi mayo was good although too light on the mayo
+ fried rice side - which was totally flavorless
+ oysters were great although we ordered a dozen and only got half a dozen
+ New York steak and frites - solid steak
+ Sea Bass, Salmon, Crab cakes, Scallops were all well received
+ Fish and chips for the kids although fish pieces were small
+ watermelon salad sounds great but is very underwhelming
+ Sushi rolls were all solid - although the sashimi - tuna - entree is really more suited to be an appy

The service and attentiveness was average. A little price for what you get but is worth the patio on a beautiful summer night.

Beautiful view, great location. Great service. My dish was lovely - haddock. My husband's was ugly - fatty pork chop special. I had a bite and spit it out. There was nothing but fat. Dessert was old - should have been discarded a week ago. Ugh. My husband did not feel good afterwards which he credited to the pork chop. Maybe it was as old as the cheese cake. The food is inconsistent, unreliable. It was not cheap.

Extremely overpriced for poor food quality and bad service. No menu selection available, ridiculous prices for the worst BLT I've ever had. Staff was completely disinterested in us and even snapped at us after asking for the bill! Never coming back again.

I had great expectations for a night out with my wife. We made reservations but asked for a table outside should one become available. On arrival, a table was available on the deck and we were seated in a great spot to enjoy the view. Our server arrived, very pleasant and we ordered cocktails. Our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. We then ordered the mussels for an appetizer and ordered our mains as well. Our mussels came promptly and were quite good, although not spectacular. Our drinks were empty for a while as we awaited our mains. Mains arrived, I ordered the Short Rib and my wife ordered the Portabello Mushroom over ravioli. My wife ordered a glass of wine to enjoy with dinner and I ordered an IPA. First bites of our meals were less than appealing... I think my grandfather may have enjoyed the short rib because it was BLAND and mushy. My wife's was bland as well. The food was certainly not worth the price as it was MEH at best. Our drinks arrived after about 10 minutes, and this is after our server should have hustled them back to us so we could have the drinks with our meal. It was strange because our server didn't seem that busy but she took forever with our drink orders. Overall, MEH service, MEH food. There are much better options out there... oh ya and the domestic dispute on the patio made the night a little interesting and the two servers being catty with one another as they took down the umbrellas was less than professional. We won't be returning.

Had the duck. It was little salty and a little over done, but not bad. The girlfriend had the Sea bass which was excellent. The patio is nice and relaxing. Recommend for a nice dinner.

My wife and I have been going to Lift for quite awhile and always have an amazing time. The food is fantastic and the staff are extremely good at what they do. I recommend Lift to all my friends and family.

I was impressed with this restaurant. Breathtaking views from every window of the coastal mountains, Stanley Park, and the harbor. Beautiful, relaxed and elegant roof top deck with fire pits, modern floor lamps and comfortable seating. Excellent Pacific Northwest inspired food and seafood. We very much enjoyed the oysters, tuna, scallops and heirloom watermelon salad. I highly recommend this place for excellent food and the best views and rooftop in Vancouver.

Really excellent bar and spot. Came by for a rest after a big walk in Stanley Park and was warmly greeted by staff (John is the MVP, pictured to the right of that first pic that comes up). Food and drinks are all excellent, lovely view and even got a free desert on the house. 10/10 recommend

Food was good, service was good and nice views. A little disappointed there was only 1 item on the appy menu that did not contain seafood. Our party of 6 was quite shocked that we had to pay 20% more for some menu items & were not entitled to happy hour specials due to being seated on the upper floor, definitely a turn off to coming back to this place.

Amazing seafood. Had the scallops with pork and kimchi for appy and dinner had the ahi tuna. Very fresh. Loved the wine recommendations and Tanya our server was very knowledgeable and attentive.

Can't be faulted. Annoyingly. I wanted to hate this place. A tourist trail restaurant on the water that looks posh and over the top on the inside is surprisingly great value for money. Staff are quite simply amazing. The food needs some 10% more effort. Outside of that, there's no reason why you shouldn't go. Unless you're reading this review in another country with no intention of visiting Vancouver. In which case I ask you... Why are you here reading this?!

The obvious appeal was the view from the upper deck and it did not disappoint. The food was also spectacular. But the one thing that really stood out was the service, the server was extremely personable, genuine, very knowledgeable and had great taste. She gave us her top recommendations and we ended up ordering them all. Everything was delicious.

After a cold walk around Stanley Park this was a great stopping off point for lunch/brunch.
Half price appies between 3 PM and 6 PM.
I had a tasty seafood chorizo plate.
Good value for this area of Vancouver.

A restaurant surrounded by the sea on three sides, the price is moderate, the environment is particularly good! If you like the smell of the sun and the sea, this restaurant must be the best restaurant near Stanley park.

Pretty good dinner. We were a group over 30 and had three selections for the first two courses and two selections for the third. Had the tuna and halibut and dark chocolate cheesecake. All were above average for certain, but not extra ordinary. Folks around me who had other items were very happy with their choices. Very good wait staff, top notch. I would visit again to see what a meal for 2 or 4 would be like, as I think it would be better without such a large group.

Everything was great but just slightly disappointed because I specifically requested a seat with a better view because my friend was from out of town but they seemed to just seat us where there was a spot. The food and service were spectacular though but I just wish they were a little more accodating since I had made the reservations way ahead of time

We went there for happy hour. We were seated upstairs on the deck. We were then informed that happy hour pricing does not apply to deck seating. Weird. On a positive note our server was lovely and masked.

Went at opening for a mother's day brunch. Hadn't been here for a number of years but I came away impressed with the brunch experience. Excellent service and the location and view can't be beat. 6 of us sat on the top patio and it was a breezy, cloudy cool Vancouver day. Staff had the heaters lit and rolled down the roof for us and it was perfect. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. From the Cobb salad loaded with quinoa, seeds and Blue cheese to the beef hash which was delicious. The vegetarian Benny gets special mention for big flavour and the unique and delicious fried avocado. We left Lift very satisfied and it out a great start on the day which followed with a bike around the sea wall. Recommended as a uniquely Vancouver experience. Would be incredible in the evening for the views.

Very friendly staff great views of the ocean and mountains. Everything we taisted was presented on our plates beautifully and each piece had a distinct flavour. We are definitely considering this place as a Vancouver favourite.

We had a wonderful meal here during our visit to Vancouver. Came because I had heard about the view (which is great), but was even more impressed with the service and the food. Very attentive server, who had great recommendations, and everything was delicious. Excellent wine list. If we lived here, it would be a regular spot for us.

Amazing location 5+ stars, ok food and service 3 stars, price 2 stars. If location and views are your top priority, this should be on your short list. If price is an issue, mark it off your list. The food is good but not worth the price, unless you factor in the venue. It s right on the water and almost every table has a water/window seat view. They have several great areas for lounging as a group either around a fire pit overlooking Coal Harbour or along a bar that is right on the water. I find the hosting staff a bit snotty. Great sea walk area for a pre or post meal stroll as well.
