We came here on a Saturday evening. We were greated nicely and were guided to our table. We were craving torch sushi and thought we go to Lift as we have been here a few times and overall has been positive experience. It is one of our go to place when we wanna have food in a patio and by the water.

They were a bit too busy that being said we shouldn t have waited 20 mins to get our orders in. At least the server could have said hi quickly. Anyways, this was not the most disappointing point of that night... the server showed up, she was pleasant, she took our order. We ordered oysters for starter and Torch sushi and spicy Salmon sushi for main order and 2 drinks. After sitting for 35 to 40 mins we received our oyster and we are already frustrated and hungry that after sitting for more than an hour in the restaurant we have just received our starter. Anyways the wine didn t show up! We had our oysters and we had to wait for another 10 mins to get the wine. Like wine should come within 10 mins not 10 mins after starter and 45 mins after you ordered them.

Then we had to wait another 25 mins to get our sushi. We have told the server that we wanted the hot sauce to be on the side for the spicy salmon sushi, when our food arrived it was 20mins to their closing and how did we know? Is because the server was asking other tables for any last call and not only she did not ask us, but we haven t even got out food yet. So the main course came, they got the order mixed up. So they put the sauce of the torched salmon on the side instead of the spicy salmon roll. So my friend could not eat the spicy salmon cause she doesn t like spicy food and we did not enjoy the torched salmon either because all that makes the torched salmon nice is torching that sauce on top of salmon. So they had the salmon roll torched with the sauce on the sauce. We have been sitting there for 1.5 hrs, hungry and frustrated and they already took last calls from other tables and its 20mins to closing. We didn t wanna wait any longer firstly because we are hungry secondly because we didn t wanna wait another 40mins and also the kitchen would be closed. Anyways we ate the food didn t enjoy it at all and when we told the server she was like I wish you told me earlier without mentioning that she never showed up to our table so when did we have a chance to do that??? She just showed up to collect the payment. In the whole 1.5 hrs she checked up on us only when we were eating the starter.

So when you go to a nice restaurant and paying $20 to $21 for a roll of sushi that you can get in many many good other restaurants for much cheaper, you expect a high level of service. I can understand things getting delayed, it shouldn t but one can explain that, but when you know you have made a mistake and the experience of your customer has been bad, at least a manager should show up and apologize and offer some sort of compensation.

Not sure if i would be back

Great views in a fancy upbeat shoreline atmosphere, terrace is beautiful with big fire pits looking over the coastal mountains of vancouver ( north vancouver & Stanley park )
The menu is filled with variety of fine cuisine and interesting cocktails. Great for special occasions or dates

Loved our dinner it was spectacular. Delicious well made great ingredients price and flavour. But while the service was efficient..we asked for either patio or window when made the reservation did not get to sit in either spot.even confirmed covid protocol and reiterated the request for window seat.
Also we found the staff not as friendly as we would have liked.

The scenery is good, the food is good, but parking is not easy, you need to use valet parking. Because happy hour's $ 1 per oyster went away, who would be too polite to call a dozen, and wait for it to be sold out. I want to upsell my expensive $ 25 and a dozen. If you do n t want to be slaughtered, you can change the name to Qingkou and Clam.

Came here for Sunday brunch. Absolutely a great patio right on the water. Great service and good tasting food. The brunch menu is a bit pork heavy and could use a gourmet waffles or french toast additions. Aside from
that, fantastic place to come.

This restaurant is really amazing! I went here for my anniversary and was so pleased, they had the best pasta I have ever eaten and my boyfriend said his steak was delicious. I will definitely be coming back here in the summer and enjoying the patio with the rest of my family. Also the staff are very nice and made sure we had a great night!

We have visited Lift many times. We loved our last visit for brunch last weekend. We had the best patio seat with the most amazing view. The food was extraordinary, and the desserts were to die for. We loved our server too. Highly recommend checking them out before the summer ends.

Worst service in Canada ever!!! Declined a table because I'm a 'single and they're busy' (NOTE: Half restaurant empty!!), made to sit at bar, squished in where there was no seat, extortionate prices, wine I wanted not available, menu is basic. Sad that this is the final thing many travellers experience from this beautiful country.
PS: Information lady told me this was only restaurant available at Vancouver airport... i checked after I sat down. IT'S REALLY NOT.

This is a relaxing place to eat, drink or both in BC. It has a magnificent view of the water and the mountains and if you are luck you might even catch a seal swimming just below your window seat. The servers are friendly and attentive so you should feel free to experiment with the food and drinks.

I been to this place when they first opened few years ago and I remenber how lovely was the location. When a dear friend suggested to try their Branzino, I gladly said "yes". I forgot how beautiful the location though.
It's right on the water and most people were enjoying the place and the food.
Well, the Branzino was quite good though I prefer if it was a little bit crunchy. The three kinds of oyster on bed of ice was quite nice. The desert was the best.

The worst customer service, very apathetic employees. They did not have service in half area but they would give you the table and they come back saying they can not serve you. Myself and three tables left the place.

An inspired location that perhaps at one point offered service to compare. Our experience was lack lustre & somewhat forgettable from a culinary perspective. Despite having been there only on Sunday my memory is of an overly chewable selection of veggies with the 'perfect egg' and an ostrich steak that for the price was underwhelming.

There were long stretches between waiters and the plating left the portions looking small and unappetizing.

I would recommend this restaurant for a casual drink after work to enjoy the view from the upper balcony, but skip the food.

Went here for lunch and it was amazing. The view is beautiful and right on the water , one of my favourite restaurant views in the city. The food was perfect and the prices were actually really reasonable for the quality of food. Our server was very friendly as well, all around a great experience.

Management does not let large groups stay together in one area. We had 50 people and they made us split up into three groups in three different areas. Silly to do that when our group (corporate gathering) spends a couple of thousands of dollars in drinks... Not good if you want repeat business!

We headed over to Lift after our Christmas Santa Shuffle Run in Stanley Park. It was SO delicious on all fronts. The shrimp benny was everything I wanted and more. I don't know what they do to those potatoes but I'll have more please. The spicy prawn caesar hit the spot. Thank you for the great service Stephanie Emily and Tasha! Mesmerized with the fish tank at the front of the restaurant....find the giant fish with impressive dentures!

Great food and atmosphere. Stopped by for lunch with my work team as we were in town for a conference. Great service and impressive food for a bar! Had the ahi tuna salad, was fab. Will come back next time in the area :)

4 things on the menu were either not ready or not even available, the restaurant appears to be understaffed, and the food is in general low quality. A charcuterie should come on a board, not a small ceramic plate. Portions are extremely small for what you pay.

The hostesses were very accommodating and the cocktail and food menu was very appetizing; However, our server took our initial order and then promptly ignored my table for the next hour until we left.
