got a tv as a gift. had a dead pixel. customer service said its covered under warranty. Indian repair technician came and pretended to own LG and said its not covered under warranty. said tv was refurbished. i was advised on first phone call it will be covered as courtesy repair even without invoice, and that was customer service located in Philipines. Lg did a follow up call on the service call from Toronto, and I advised them I want to speak to a local manager. No call back yet and its been over a month. Also, LG Canada does not have a local phone number. Its all directed to Philipines. BOTTOM LINE... LG SUCKS! stick to Samsung. WAY better customer service and quality.

I bought a full price LG V60 dual screen. 1 month and 16 days of use the phone no longer works !!!! I went to the nearest titled counter, I explained the whole story. a week later receives a phone call to tell me that a part is not guaranteed; I accept the charge of $ 142 to have it repaired. Back a week later I discover that the screen protector is no longer there, my memory card told me that they could not recover it, but stronger in all this: The phone does not work anymore! !!!
I asked them to return it to the technicians to do the job poorly done, then I asked to reimburse it for $ 142 since they are the only ones: they lost my screen protector, 2 the phone was not functional and 3 they are the ones who broke the drawer to open the phone! The customer service clerk waiting for hours to re-explain the whole story one after another while throwing himself the ball one of the trapped by my words answered me that he had to talk to his superiors! After two days of deliberations: R I E N! Like what once the product is sold - their 2 year warranty is just empty words. Moral of the story I changed cell phone company because of the fact that 1 month and 16 days of lifespan for an LG over $ 1100 is short!
Customer service was terrible couldn't help me with my 60inch tv.
When I read all these other bad experiences from other customers, I thought that this can't be true, LG has a good customer service, they stand behind what they sell and will have the answers when you call to get answers.
This is far from the truth, I have been waiting 10 days after booking a service appointment, which can only be done through a portal and never a live person!
So booked the appointment July 21 and have been waiting for some sort of confirmation on timing for the tech to get here, and talking with cutomer service, again not live but via a chat portal, they say that I booked an all day appointment, cause there was no other option, it only gave me the one option and the rep on chat says that was my choice.
We are living in a time, where money is tight and working when you can to make it allowing you can maintain your household, but to have someone who remains faceless and no infliction in their voice is just another way this company takes advantage of your hard earned money and time!
Most companies today, have the knowledge of when their services reps will be able to come to your place and on your schedule so that you can still put in a days work and get compensated for it.
I am a small business owner and in this time of Covid where we were asked to make sacrifices for the better good, companies like LG's service department are considered essential work got to continue to take our money and conduct business.
So all we are asking is that they return the same in kind, get our act together and better prepare your service appointments to reflect that we to have responsiliblites and jobs to earn a living so that we can have expensive appliances repaired without a hinderance on our day to day lives.
I will never purchase anothe LG product, based on the level of customer service and the time and energy wasted on hold while I was escalted through 4 different calls to reach a manager, who by the way didn't have any answers!
So if you have a choice of any other product than LG consider it, cause when you need them to repair the expensive equipment, you will face the same run around as I did
Fido sold me lg g4 garbage they clamed it was a really good phone after two months phone started dropping calls dealing with this issue for 2 months now phone has known issues confirmed by LG customer service guy and fido dealer in the mall. Stuck with it now Lg customer support very rude and professional. I was left hanging dry as fido has no loaner phones. I respond to emergencies every day and this affects my work greatly. My next step is Ontario Ombudsmen office and BBB. No longer buying LG products what a shame for multi billion dollar industry.
Worst customer service ever! Nobody should buy LG ever, unless you don t mind having to throw your appliances to the trash when they show an error. Never call them for repairs. It s a never ending story, 3mos of frustrating calls and the oven still not fix. Now I m fighting them to get my money back.

OLED TV's are absolute Junk. Spent over $4000.00 on a 65" OLED TV and after two years of ownership the TV is ruined with burn in. LG does not want to be accountable and expects me to pay $600+ to replace the panel.

WORST customer service! We placed a service call to repair our fridge door that was not closing properly. They sent their third party repair company called Oxebo to ""repair" it. According to the technician, two times in a row they didn't send the correct replacement part and the third time he tried to install the part and damaged the door to a point it no longer closes.
When you call their customer service they lie about departments being closed, or that nobody in the management team can talk to you because they are all busy taking calls. They say that on our file we have the approval for credit, but we have been waiting for over 1 month for it and still nothing. They say they will call you back and they never do.
We are now writing a formal notice to get a full reimbursement. NEVER again will I buy an LG product!

Horrible horrible horrible service, as a matter of fact it does not exist. I will never buy LG products again. They scam you, make you pay for a diagnostic service, which is a scam, then they tell you about a package deal they have of over 200 dollars. By the time your finished you've overpaid for service by 135 dollars and this is on a 2 year old fridge.
If 0 stars was an option that s what I would give LG. I will never again buy any LG products again. The dishwasher I ordered was delivered damaged - I have spent a week going back and forth with multiple people at LG and have not been able to receive compensation for the damaged product. Every time I call I speak to another rude person who tells me they need time to investigate - despite the fact the damage was noted on the delivery form and pictures were emailed with the damage. When I ask to speak to a supervisor they tell me there is no supervisor- when I stated I wanted to lodge a complaint they also told me I could not lodge a complaint either. This company does not care about customer service at all - in the future I will be steering clear of LG appliances.
Life's NOT Good. The Main Control Panel broke in a 2 year old Dryer. I was told I could not buy the part to replace myself. A technician contracted by LG called me for the part name and number which had to be ordered and replaced. I paid out of pocket for a third party technician to diagnose the problem. The part was ordered on a Wednesday. I was told Thursday or Friday the dryer would be fixed. Saturday, after obvious complications with customer service, a technician came to the house and left before I was shown it worked. The front digital diplay no longer works which is a new problem. Told again through LG's "committed" customer service, a technician will either return Saturday or latest Sunday to fix the problem. The time is now 2pm on Sunday and another day is wasted! No departments to rectify anything will be open until Monday.
Collectively hours on the phone, 2 working days and a weekend wasted waiting for a dryer to be fixed and told each day it would be.

I would like to talk about my experiment with LG I purchased a TV and I started getting problem when I started using it , I lost the colours at the middle of the Screen I contacted them to get help they took almost three weeks of talking and proof of the problem and Fix it but almost a year after I got the same problem I contact them they said that I have to pay to replace and sending someone to check it so every single year or less of using the Tv I have to almost pay price of new TV to fix my TV that I thought that I got the best electronic company which is not correct and by the way the TV was not a cheap purchase but eventually will cost me a fortune to keep it and keep using it !( Thank you LG for your garbage)
A year ago I purchased two identical monitors (27UD68-W). On Friday, the one I use in office wouldn't power up. By switching power supplies between working and non-working one, I identified that the problem is the power supply not the actual monitor. I called customer service and inquired about replacement. When they insisted that I need to send a whole monitor in for "inspection" I just decided not to proceed. The cost of so called warranty repair would be for me way more expensive than just buying after market power supply.
It is way to go LG!!! You rather spent money on employee doing so called "inspection" when problem is already determined, than just mailing replacement part at the fraction of the cost. I agree with other posters here, that you do not deserve even a single star and I will not buy a LG product ever again.
If I could give a zero star I would. Worst customer service I've ever seen. 2 weeks ago we started having trouble with our 2 yr old gas dryer (it wasn't heating). I called LG and a technician walked me through some diagnostics. He eventually told me that there wasnt anything wrong with my dryer and that it was a blockage in the dryer vent. He said i needed to call a company to come and clean them. The next day I arranged to have this done by a company called Dryer Vent Wizzards. $242 DOLLARS later and the dryer still not working. I called LG back and was told about the "one time fee program" that they have for out of warrantee products. I needed to go online to register and it would cost $199. I then could schedule a technician in my area to come and fix the dryer.....easy right??? NOPE!!!!
The website kept telling my that "service information not available at the moment". Whatever the heck that means. I called LG again....was told that the service technicians in my area weren't available. Call back Monday for new schedule they said. Called LG again Monday (at this point dryer broken for a week) was told that someone will either call or email me within the next 24 to 48hrs.....today is Saturday (120 hrs after last phone call) and still waiting.
LG have admitted that they have the recording of all my calls, even the one that their technician gave me the wrong info and cost me an unnecessary $242 to clean dryer vents. Gonna call LG one last time today and I pity whoever gets my call. No more Mr. Nice guy. Im done with this company. I have an LG washer and dryer, im on my 2nd LG cell phone.....these are the last LG products I will ever purchase.
No kitchen appliances for at least 1 week over xmas. 18 people were to come over. LG refused to return calls to Costco over kitchen suite order shortage. Thank you LG for destroying our family xmas. Merry xmas.

My fancy $3595 plus tax fridge stopped cooling after 4 years. Called LG, they sent in their authorized technician to come (after 6 days in August), to say "it is not repairable" and walk away. When called to follow up, they offered a $1200 pro-rated amount based on the age of my fridge. When I asked how long they expect their product to last for, they said 10 years. So, obviously the math does not add up.
Even though I had paid the $250 plus tax flat rate fee for them to fix my unit, it was deemed "not repairable".
No refund on the $250 flat rate fee.
No increased amount on the pro-rated amount.
Don't expect your products to last, or don't expect any level of customer service.
It's a shame that customers post negative reviews almost DAILY about LG. Heed the advice!
Bought a 50 inch lg tv Having problems with the sound be played through tuner. 5 phone calls since January to get resolution Holding the power button down for 15 seconds and then pull plug is not a resolution . Was promised a service call by Friday March 22. didn't happen. Had to call again today Mar 26 and refused to get off the phone until talking with a supervisor. Finally 2 supervisors were talked to. The second one advised my that all of the 5 contacts I had spoken to before were SUBCONTRACTORS NOT EVEN WORKING FOR LG CANADA. Bad enough the product is faulty so is their response to a consumer issue DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS
Do yourself a favor and stay the hell away from LG products. If your product ever has any sort of problem what-so-ever get ready for the worst customer service experience of your life. I had a lg g5 with a cracked screen that I called in to get fixed and got sent a quote from futuretel stating it would cost $570 to fix. Funny thing is lg has a fix your whole phone plan for 150 so they couldnt just send me that. Not to mention, if I wanted to get the phone back without fixing it, it would cost me 30 bucks to get it back because they "inspected" it. Of course "inspected" in this case means they looked and the phone and saw that it has a cracked screen. This company is full of scammers and the customer reps cant even speak proper english. I got hung up on several times and half of them don't even know about the products they sell.
Our brand new washing machine had an error within the first week. They tried to fix it and when it couldn't be fixed and needed to be replaced they took over 2 weeks to get us a return approval. In the meantime at least the dealer we bought them from just accepted the return as we didn't want to deal with LG ever again. They have no service on the phone and shouldn't have just replaced it right away since it was brand new. They also didn't offer any compensation for us not having a washing machine for a month and we have a 1 yr old baby with lots of laundry.

Call Center is limited to what they can do as LG contracts to the cheapest local techs that try to fix everything as cheaply as possible, they don t care is you have to wait 20 days to fix a fridge by ordering one part at a time , make multiple visits and feeding you lies every time.

DO NOT BUY LG..... we purchased a brand new LG fridge approx 9 months ago and paid alot of $$$$. After 3 months the freezer stopped working, not only did we loose hundreds of dollars worth of food but it took a while before a technician came by. After a tech second visit he replaced parts and it finally worked again... well, not for long. Fast forward to approx 7 months after purchase and the not only the freezer but the fridge aswell stopped working. More food lost. Having to deal with LG customer service has been a complete nightmare. Its been almost 2 months and we have no fridge, no freezer. Many many countless hours on the phone to customer service with zero results and never having anyone call back to schedule a tech or update on the status of our claim. We ALWAYS have to initiate the calls and LG has done nothing to help. How is it that a brand new fridge can stop working twice and LG wont replace it?? The second tech to visit submitted a report deeming the fridge/freezer NOT REPAIRABLE and yet LG has denied the claim. We have kids and to be without a basic necessity for two months is totally unacceptable. Even talking to supervisors and management at LG has gotten us no where, but every customer service rep makes a point of saying sorry .... let me tell you sorry doesnt cut it anymore. We have lost lots of sleep over this and we are now at the point of going public with the information. Do yourself a favour and buy another brand.... LG customer service does not support the customer and does nothing to fix the problem. All i want is new fridge, not a 9 month old broken piece of junk. DONT BUY LG!
Terrible over-the-phone Customer Service. Called in for technical support on my now forth repair call on a $900 microwave/overhead fan. I was told that technician would call back within 5 to 7 days, and begin support with an over the phone diagnostic. Sounds efficient, however I never received a call, so called again to request service. This time I was given a date for a technician to come to the house. The communication process was so difficult. I appreciate that mulit-lingual agents are necessary, however if they can not communicate properly and efficiently in English, then maybe they should provide a language option through their automated phone service. A customer does not need to be further aggravated by a communication barrier, when already frustrated by an inferior product.
Paid $822 for a brand new LG TV. Lasted about 1.5 years (just outside the warranty). The picture suddenly went so dim I could not see the screen at all. Customer service would not assist unless we committed to pay significant costs for repair. Absurd that a brand new TV would last only a year an a half in the absence of any trauma or misuse. It will be the very last LG product I buy. Buyer beware.

I bought a UP970 4k bluray player a year and a half ago. Until recently I was only playing regular blurays and it worked fine. I've bought some 4k blurays and when playing them there is a loud whirring noise from the disc tray. It is so loud it makes it impossible to listen to the sound track of the movie. After searching Google I have found other people complaining about the same thing with this model. LG refuses to acknowledge that this is a problem. They're response to me is it's because 4k discs spin faster causing the vibration and hence the noise. However I bought a newer model LG and it's as quiet as a mouse when playing 4k discs. I'm not asking for any compensation as I'm past my warranty. Just acknowledgement of the problem. I spent 38 minutes on the phone with LG and got nowhere. I was treated shabbily by the rep and the supervisor I ended up talking to. Shame on you LG. Stand behind your products and don't be condescending to your customers. I will be returning the newer model I bought. I just wanted to see if it would work. Take your home entertainment dollars elsewhere people.
Good luck trying to get warranty. We bought a Microwave that quit heating after 11 months and LG suggested to return it to Walmart for a refund, which Walmart refused as it was past 60 days. LG then suggested taking it to an authorized repair center where I was told LG deems counter top microwaves unrepairable and there is nothing they can do. Essentially, LG does not offer any warranty on counter top microwaves even though a 10 year warranty is advertised on the box and microwave itself.
We bought a $ 1400 LG fridge and had a lot of trouble. It is particularly noisy and there is a high frequency sound that is unbearable when it starts to cool. It takes a very long time. We had asked the representative at Brault and Martineau (who sells LG as a product) a silent fridge and that was our ONE condition. We are told that the LG model is great. As it is not connected we can only trust .... Result: We are stuck for the moment with a new fridge that makes more noise than the old we were 10 years. LG tells us that the noise we hear is indicated in their technical guide, and therefore it recognizes no responsibility. On the other side, Brault and Martineau Anjou tells us that it is LG who has settled this! We decided to go to court and ask for a full refund of the fridge that Brault and Martineau refuses us! The lawsuit is against Brault because they are the ones selling the fridge.
4 months and still waiting for the approved fridge replacement after it flowed water all over our floors in the middle of the night due to faulting wiring.
I would not recommend the product or the company. We completed a full kitchen reno in 2019 and bought 3 new LG appliances for it. We woke up in the middle of the night to the fridge water dispenser free flowing from the kitchen to our hardwood floors.
After finally getting LG to send a tech they deemed it, faulty wiring and a full replacement would be provided. That was 4 months ago. We have been without a properly working fridge now over thanksgiving which we had 15 family members over and now Christmas... and they still can t give us a date for the replacement. A company this big shouldn t have this issue.
Worst experience ever!!! Not only has my oven broke 3 times in the last 1.5 years. Customer service is horrible. I cancelled my service call in the allotted time frame however the CS repersenative did not document or follow the process for the cancellation. When called to inquire about my refund, they not only accused me that I did not meet the requirements for a refund. Rude and untrained staff. It does not take 6-8 weeks to process a refund.
Good experience with LG Canada office when I reached out to them in May 2017 for a solution to my out-of-warranty LG G4 cell phone that was a victim of the Re-Boot issue. Although the phone was out of warranty, the CSR Seth was kind to understand the issue and directed me to the designated service centre for free repair and shipping. Eventually the phone was repaired and returned in just about a week.
Horrible experience. Long story short. New fridge started to rust after 1 month. LG gave horrible service and refused to correct situation or even try. Bought the fridge from Sears.
Just bough a new stainless steel fridge, within 1 month it started to rust. Called customer service to explain the problem. They told me to clean it with stainless steel cleaner. Didn't work. They then said to take a picture and then call back. I did that and then they said someone would call me back. No one called. I called hem back and they said I would have to pay for it. Called executive service team (Alistar) He immediately just repeated the same thing that the customer service reps in the Philippines said without investigating or asking questions (at least understand the situation).Total of 6 to 9 phone calls and explaining the same thing over and over, with no satisfaction of a positive resolution.
Would not recommend their products based on this experience. All other appliances are stainless steel, Samsung, Frigidair no rust on those appliances and they are all over 3 years old.
If I could rate this company zero stars then I'd do it immediately. Bought a brand new washing machine from them but it's not working properly. I notified them asap after I did all the troubleshooting as per the owners manual. The CSRs for this company are located in Panama and they have no clue what they're doing. Finally they sent a tech to my house and, surprise surprise, he noticed design/manufacturer flaws which were the cause of the machine not working properly. The report was sent to LG but they state that the tech said that there was nothing wrong with it. Funny enough we witnessed the tech write down the report at our home stating the cause for the machine not to work properly.
I've been battling LG for 4 weeks now and they refuse to replace the machine. They refuse to help me in any way!
Stay away from this company and buy your appliances and electronics from a more reliable company.

3 months to have a negative answer for a 10 year warranty but we have to pay the service center. For a paid device $ 129 it costs $ 70 for the installation of the part that 2 months ago the entire device was replaced.

Terrible product (fridge) and useless customer service. My brand new fridge broke after a month and a half, leaking freon into my home. Took them a few days just to send a technician to confirm it was broken, now it's a week later and all I get is bounced from one call centre to another each promising a solution but the moment they hang up I'm back to having no fridge and no next steps. They keep saying there's an "executive team" that makes all the decisions and has all the power but I'm not allowed to contact them, I need to keep going through a call centre that has no connection to what's actually happening here. All I want is a new fridge, the exact same model, and to take the broken one away. I have a 1-month old baby and desperately need a fridge and this has been extremely difficult to handle and I'm at a loss of how to proceed. I would avoid any LG product.
Worst customer service from a major company I have ever dealt with. If I could give them a Negative 5 stars, I would gladly do so. Call center is in a Latin American country where a language barrier was VERY evident in each call I made. Problem was not solved.
My problem is from my LG stove that almost all of the numbers on the burner dials have faded off. This to me is a manufacturer defect, but according to the idiots I spoke with, its COSMETIC and LG will not replace them.
Never again will this company get a cent off me.

Brand NEW LG washing machine rips pillow and parts fall off among other issues. Still have not been able to resolve.
I am thoroughly disappointed in the level of service we have received as LG customers.
My wife and I both purchased LG-G4 smart phones and both of us have had our devices suffer the dreaded boot-loop issue. My phone suffered the boot-loop early in the phone s lifespan and I sent it into LG and they repaired it and sent it back. My wife just had hers go in June.
She called LG and they told her that they would look after it no problem - my wife walked away feeling impressed with LG's customer service. Three weeks later she receives an email stating that it would cost her $452 to replace...in some cases that is double the price of the phone. The email also stated that they are basically holding her phone hostage and that they will not send it back to us unless we pay the $452 or a $35 analysis fee. Her being impressed is now frustrated and annoyed.
I have attached the quote from the 3rd party LG sent our phone to. Note that the phone was purchased in September and not July of 2015.
Why would LG tell us they would take care of us as customers and then turn on us like this? In California there is a class action lawsuit in regards to this issue on multiple LG manufactured phones and have apparently continued to make the defective products after they knew the defect existed.
This has seriously made me doubt my trust in LG as a company and will have an impact on my decision to purchase any LG products in the future, including, smartphones (LG branded and Google branded), televisions to small and large appliances.
Seems like many people want a 0 star available and I have to agree. LG probably has the worst quality and customer service that one can imagine. I am in Vancouver and my Fridge has a problem in only the 3rd year. So far I have spent about 6 hours of phone time, 3 days off work, and 11 phone calls with different people in the fragmented company with no resolve. What started with was a compressor noise problem (not uncommon but rare in a 3 year old unit, tells you about quality.)
one technician came and suggested compressor problem but had no parts. One month (really a month!) later the second service tech from IROOTEK (never use them! Here s why) came and the nightmare began. First he claimed he did not trust the assessment of the first technician, and refused to change the compressor even though it is in his truck, ordered because of the first assessment. After much persuasion he finally agreed to change the compressor reluctantly. This part was actually ok as the compressor noise stopped immediately as the new one is in (tells you the skills and knowledge of this irootek guy) After about two hours there was a massive bang in the fridge and sounded like something dropped and the fan stated to hit another object creating very loud noise, followed with vibrations that shook half our house. When I called IROOTEK (devil company) again to come back this took another TWO weeks. The same delusional guy came, spent less than 5 minuets looking at the fridge, and told me directly to my face as we both stood by the fridge, feeing the shake of the fridge s vibration and have to speak louder to overcome the noise of the fridge, that this was a normal operation noise and he has nothing else to do. He did not produce any paper for me to sign but somehow Reported that I agreed this was a completed job. Now after another three calls to LG they still have not gotten back to me and the internal team takes 7 to 10 business days to look at inquiries. This is the worst company ever in the appliance industry not too far from Samsung and should not exist. STAY AWAY!!!!

My Air conditioner was recalled because it can catch fire! LG told me no service available in my area (What??? I am in a big city!). They have been putting me off and putting me off for over a month now! Won't fix it, wont send refund...just keep telling me "please give us more time" when I threaten to take this to Government of Canada Consumer Product Safety. This is absolutely ridiculous! I call and leave messages, no response. I email and get the same responses...we are looking into it. Please wait. How long does it take to figure out a name of a repair company for me to take it to to be fixed so it doesn't catch fire!!???
I will never buy an LG product again. It hasn't been 2 years since I bought my TV and its not working already. I bought a TV from what i thought was a reputable brand name company thinking it would be reliable. Thats not the case I should have cheater brand and saved some money. They want $460 plus tax to fix it. I might as well buy a new one. Stay away from their products.
Our fridge just arrived. Brand new and never used. Actually, it's not even plugged yet. But there's already a stain right where the brand name is. Plus, a huge sticker residue on top. How do you take this out???
The worst customer service and terrible company in general. I have an Lg smart tv that is about 5 year old, the remote stopped working so we are unable to access Netflix. I called in to have a new remote sent to me and they want me to pay $113 to have it shipped. I'm willing to pay for a new remote since its no longer under warranty but $113 is ridiculous just for a new remote.
Compressor died of a fridge after only 2 1/2 years, the compressor is guaranteed 10 years but it charges you the service of $ 320 to change it, he is crazy about the legal guarantee in force in Quebec, never lg for me
customer service lies. they also lie about the time it will take to fix your phone. they make false promises like "shipping included" and 7 to 10 days for repair! and once you pay you wont see your device for weeks.
Lg has to be one of the worst places. They diagnosed my problem over the phone, without even looking at my tv. Then said it would be 280.00 to repair which I paid. They then informed me the parts will take awhile, so I cancelled the call. It has now been 4 months and I am still waiting for a refund!! Will NEVER buy one of their products again.

Bought a brand new refrigerator not even 2 years ago. It started out not making ice...then the freezer stopped working. Its running, but nothing is cooling. This was a total waste of time and money. Plus the guy who came to fix it tells me there is only 1 year warranty, Called LG, they said the same thing, 1 year warranty. Compressors should last at least ten years. I bought a brand new LG G6 cellphone and within 3 weeks, the USB port used to charge the device stopped working. The phone would prompt that the port has water in it (no water was anywhere in contact with the device). Upon restarting the device, the port would function and the phone would charge. This problem continued to the point where after another week, the message no longer went away even after a restart.
The phone was sold to me as a 'NEW' but within such a short span of time, proved to be defective. Upon speaking with LG, I was advised by the customer service representative that the phone would be replace within 90 days and the phone was defective. Further discussion with her supervisor for authorization, and I was told that the unit would only be sent in and repaired.
LG acknowledge that this unit seems to be faulty but stated that they would only REPAIR this faulty unit and send it back to me. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Do not sell a defective phone, and then only advise that your resolution is to repair the defective phone!
I will never buy another product from this company, and the level of service (or non-existence) is humorous. I hope this review helps just one person from having to go through the sad experience that LG has put me through.

Literally the worst customer service I have ever had with any company in my life. They will lie to you to just get you off the phone, promising you swift repairs at reasonable rates only to turn around and blame their own certified service centers for why things take forever to get done.
When you call them on their behaviour they get extremely defensive and pile lie upon lie to try and just get you to go away.
I would never, in a million years buy a product from this company, they lack integrity, ethics and operate with contempt for their customers. Seriously, everyone I speak to at their customer service line is smug and just tells you what they think you want to hear. When it turns out to not be true and you call them on it, they put some 'executive customer service person' on the line to guess at excuses and try and explain how things are actually your fault. Oh, and they know they have terrible online reviews and don't care. they just rely on people being saps and continuing to buy their products even though all the reasons in the world not to are out there. Learn from our mistakes!
This doesn't even take into account that their appliances are very prone to failure and thus you will have to deal with their terrible service often (although to be fair, appliances are not built like they used to be - but at least have semi-competent customer service if you are going to be int he market).
I would go without an appliance before I buy from LG. Had to give them 1 star to post this review, but I wouldn't give them any. If you want to avoid being lied to and waiting forever to get an appliance repaired, that any other manufacturer would knock out for you in a day or two - avoid LG.

My horrible experience with not being able to get through customer service to place a refund was an infuriating experience. I DO NOT recommend LG products for anyone out there looking to purchase their products because when you need it serviced, you will not get help whatsoever. We bought an LG washing machine and it started eating holes out of the occasional shirt. So we replaced it with a new LG washer in June 2015. At first it worked fine, but after a year, it started punching little holes first, then eventually started really snagging and ripping shirts. One day I noticed an item trapped in the seam at the back of the drum. LG's technician told me over the phone that if the drum was replaced, he couldn't guarantee the problem would be corrected. LG refused to do more than send a technician for repair. I WILL NEVER BUY THIS BRAND AGAIN!! LG customer service refuses to let me know the name of the president in Canada.
I bought a fancy $1600 LG Ultrafine 5k Monitor from Apple. The monitor started flickering after 1 week. I called LG customer service. They are the worst I have seen in my life.
They don't know which repair shop can repair my unit. They don't have parts for the Monitor.
The promised a refund and return of the monitor and kept stalling.
I have been on the phone with them over 15 hours across the time span of 3 months and no resolution.
They don't say the truth on the phone, and they promise and never deliver.

Just wanted to warn other consumers about the Nexus line of phones made by LG. I bought a Nexus 5 exactly 14 months ago. The battery is now dead (and wasn't great to begin with). BEcause it is a "sealed battery" it cannot simply be replaced by popping the back off the phone. It actually has to be repaired by the manufacturer for $150, which is more than the balance owing on my phone. Why would I do that??!! This is the first (and guaranteed last) Nexus I have ever owned, and had I known the battery was so bad I would most certainly not have bought the Nexus 5 to begin with. I contacted LG directly and they were very unwilling to help me at all. Is it unreasonable to expect a phone battery to last more than 14 months? I've had other brands of phones which I"ve kept for between 3 and 5 years and have NEVER had a battery die before. Do NOT waste your money on this product. It's terrible, and I'm mad enough that I will probably avoid ALL LG products in the future.

Spent over $800 trying to fix my LG washer that would continuously break down. I had it for 3 yeas when it first broke down. I've had it in my garage for nearly 7 years in storage. Cleaning up and seeing it again today, reminded me of the terrible customer experience I received from LG, as they would not help me diagnose and insisted I call a technician . Hey LG, I have your broken machine, can you buy it back? Or please just come by and it back? Thanks, also my Samsung has been working beautifully.

What was so terrible? I would have to type up a whole page to explain the whole situation starting from wasting over a month and multiple visits from technicians to fix our fridge which was later deemed to be impossible to do. First they sent the wrong part, then the technician said a different part needs to be fixed, and after over a month we were told we would get it replaced. I don't care that we had to use a tiny fridge all this time and the inconvenience that came with that, but the amount of time my wife and I spent on the phone to end up with nothing is ridiculous. It's not something that can be fixed, this is just misleading information and bad customer service. If I could have my time back and was told right away to toss it in the garbage and go get a new one, I would have never left a comment.
Screw LG . Ill NEVER buy another LG product as long as i live . My LG G5 cellphone went to do a system software update and randomly just failed to update and now my phone wont even turn on !!! I literally did NOTHING and phone worked fine until i simply update .. just says that its corrupt and refuses to boot . LG computer app wont even detect the phone even though it charges and tries to connect but also fails .. i call LG to fix the problem and they try charging me 200 dollars what an absolute JOKE . How in the hell am i paying $200 for one when its YOUR PHONE THAT BROKE ITSELF AND CANT EVEN DO A SYSTEM UPDATE?!?! and for two .. who the hell is going to pay $200 dollars for you to simply reset the phone? If I could give zero stars I would. I was a big LG fan and have owned their TV's before until I han to deal with them. Hands down the worst customer service I have ever had. My 6 month old tv quit working and customer service reps were rude, disrespectful and did not have any sympathy. The technician left screen sitting up against a door bent and then put it back in. They then proceeded to still not fix the problem, had no idea what the problem was but said it was fixable. Will never buy another LG product again. Can't believe the lack of service from a big company like LG.
My 3000$ LG refrigirator compressor died after 3 years. The part is discontinued and LG won't help me at all. No more LG equipment for the rest of my life and trust me, I will spread the word.

I bought a LG Dishwasher in June 2019. It does not finish the washes/drain. I had a technician come in FIVE times in 3 months, just for him to blow up the control board because he was lazy and did not disconnect the power before servicing,resulting of being now more than a week with a dishwasher that does not power on anymore. We spent over 5 hours over the phone. Finally, last week we spoke with a second line representative at LG Canada that was supposed to call us. Fast forward 1 week later I have to do this all over again and nobody wants to take responsibility for this. I am never buying anything LG again.
I got a new mobile phone from them and it had a problem of battery, I sent it for repair they send it back to me dirty with scratches on the screen. after more than 20 hours on the phone they told me that I had to take a picture of the phone prior sending it . they denied that the scratches happened in their third party lab so they turn it all on me. the worst customer services that you may get in your life. I will never use an LG product even if I got it for free. I don't want to deal with bunch of liars . unfortunately I did not check this reviews before but now I'm aware how bad they are. Let me explain to you why you are the most garbage company in the world.
1) Your customer service representative hangs up on me, a paying customer.
2) After talking to 3, yes that's 3, different representatives, none of them seem to know the model of the phone I sent in. Your customer service called it a Google Nexus! Are you freaking serious? Absolute idiot. THEY WORK FOR LG!!!
3) No customer service rep agrees with the other. One tells me it takes 3-5 business days to repair, other tells me 7-10.
4) They tell me they have sent the approval to get it repaired, I call FutureTel two days after they tell me this, and guess what? There is no approval on record.
5) I have your customer service rep on recording saying "LG V20's have a moisture control problem from the factory". Yet you won't repair my phone even when it's still under warranty? How is a factory problem not being repaired?
There customer service is the worst- My fridge broke down a week ago, and still not fixed, very inflexible and cannot even reach supervisors or manager to try to get resolution. I don't understand the company philosophy- if there is a problem to help reach the solution so as to keep your customers happy and loyal to the brand- I would not recommend LG to anybody and would advice anyone buying appliances to first check on the support before buying
I wish I can give less then one star. On my second brand new fridge since July 2018 and I've been waiting to get this one repaired for 3 months it was delivered to me with cracks in the plastic and the wrong shelving. They told me the part is on back order that they will just replace the fridge, that was 2 months ago now on Sunday the told me it would be fixed on friday (today) because the part is in now so they wont be sending me a new one anymore. so I booked off work again and the tech came with no parts saying "lg shipped it to me" ( which they didnt) and when I called lg and waited on hold for an hour they told me they forgot to order it. Now I need to take another day off and hope that's not a waste of time too.

My perfectly good, 8 months old TV just received a software update 2 days ago and unable to connect to the wifi ever since. LG wants me to take it to their service location, because that's the only way they can fix it. My tv is still under warranty, but if yours is not, that's a hefty fee and it's not your fault or the TV'S fault. They are sending out software updates to damage your TV!!!
This is the only television in my home and I'm lucky I have a long enough ethernet cable to connect it to the internet, because LG didn't try to offer me any other option.
I will never buy another LG product again for sure!

NEVER BUY AN LG Appliance. Their product sucks.
We purchased a fridge only 4 years ago and it's already junk. And never call their customer service department because regardless what you say to them or situation you are in - all they will do it read their script to you and provide zero personality or personable skills. They don't want to help you and the entire department has been trained to just read the script over and over again.
We purchased from the Brick (which is another company I will NEVER buy from), and when after only 4 year the fridge failed we have had to go without a fridge for 5 weeks and not being told we'll have to go without a fridge over the holidays. In my opinion, LG doesn't care about you the customer and just want you to buy their product and never hear from you again.

Bought a 75" TV. Set it up on day 1 while waiting for our wall mount to arrive, and it was defective out of the box (See pictures).
Spoke with LG customer service through various channels and spent over an hour of my time. The best they could offer was a technician to do an in-home repair on a TV that wasn't even a day old.
My expectation? Maybe a deeper discount.. maybe a heavy discount off a complimentary product like a sound bar. Anything to offset the inconvenience that I don't believe Best Buy should take ownership for (They didn't manufacture these hunk of junk after all).
Ultimately the return of this TV will cost me time and money to pack up, find a large vehicle, return, etc.
LG has horrible customer service policies, and their products are woefully defective.
Tried to file a formal complaint but they don't care. BUYER BEWARE.

I own a LG Blueray Player/upsampler, Dishwasher & clothes washer. I can't we buy unlocked phones, like the LG G8 x dual screen, directly from LG Canada? I wish to keep my current plan with Freedom Mobile. If this does not change, I'll be forced to buy a phone on eBay from the US.

Horrible, we bought a washer and after one use it was making loud noises. Called LG To replace it and its been a month keep saying different stories every time i call because they dont even bother to call back and say anything or give updates . The supervisor all he does is lie and give attitude and has 0 customer service.(im not sure how he became a supervisor)I requested to talk to a manager and they said he cant help me put me on hold for 40 min and they were not able to do anything but say oh we cant transfer you, then i requested to talk to the first lady/ supervisor i talked to her name is faten and they keep telling me shes out of office or cant take my call. Dont even waste ur time on products or calling them because they will not do or help you at all. Worst experience ever.
Their products seemed ok but God forbid if you have a problem, there after sales service & being accountable is terribly UNHEARD OF!
1- LG advises me to ship the cellular(s) to be repaired to All Tech Neek Electronics (aka ATNE) at my own expense... OK, no problem & I do so.
2- LG asks that I follow up with ATNE but ATNE cannot be contacted by telephone, only email so I do so but not getting much help so finally I turn back to LG as I am not a client of ATNE, I am a client of LG.
3- ATNE received my cellular & received the go ahead from LG with an APN # (approval number) over 2 months ago to fix a boot-loop issue & replace a battery.
4- I must keep following up with LG but they don`t seem to be on top on the situation however 1 LG representative did say that they have stopped using ATNE.
I will keep you posted with a conclusion...
Conclusion:
After 2 1/2 months I got the cellular back (today, April 7, 2017), finally YEAH!!!... Ooops but it hasn't been repaired?!?
Seriously, both ATNE & LG Life's Good (Life is Good when I am not dealing with either of these companies) are HORRILBE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!
I give up (& they can keep the $84.00 it would have costed them to be resposible & repair my product) dealing with them as LG does not know their elbow from their butt. They keep giving me the run around. I get better service from tiny companies. I used to see them as almost equivalent to Samsung, Sony, etc... but they aren't even at par with JD Electronics... what, you never heard of JD Electronics... well that is exactly my point. This unknown nobody of a company gives better service than LG Electronics. I refuse to ever purchase LG products in the future (& I will gladly inform my entourage) & that goes for their mobile, home (appliances) & computer products.
Also, when I received a call from there automated service on rating my experience with them on a scale from 1 - 5 (1 being low / bad while 5 is high / good), I pressed 1, then 2 then 3 & it kept telling me that key was not valid & eventually the line cut.

Horrible Appliances, fridge broke in 8 months, 2 service repair cant find the problem, they replaced mother board and fans and still no luck. the worst, is LG-Customer service... no clear policy, unfriendly, rude attitude and after 5 weeks without a fridge still asking me to wait to figure out the issue and no clear policy for to replace it.
I purchase a 32" TV in Nov 2019. It is not working. Now I have to drive to downtown to drop the TV for warranty repair and then go back and pick it. There is not enough repair center. It will cost more for me to use warranty repair.
Called LG Canada for my nexus 5x phone repair. They told me to send it to FutureTel for a free repair. A week later I get a quote from FutureTel for the price of a new phone. ($450.00) I was confused so i called them back. They notify me that the phone was made in the U.S. (i bought it online) and that it cannot be repaired in Canada. They told me I had to send it to LG USA for repairs.
My phone arrived at Futuretel on Sept 22 2017. It is now Oct 10 and I still do not have my phone back to send to LG USA.
This whole process has been incredibly frustrating and will definitely deter me from buying future LG products.
I should add that my phone was only 1 year and 2 months old before it overheated and died.
I will never buy a lg product again. I purchased a sidekick pedalsal washing machine to go under my new front load washer and we have been having issues with it working since we first bought it in April. We have had 4 service calls and still not working. So we placed an order for a swap for a new one, and we are still waiting for a call or email to tell us it has come in. Many calls to customer service and the service was horrible, some agents had no idea about the swap or have us any info on the status of our washer. They told us that the new washer was already delivered to a warehouse but we received no phone call or email letting us know. I finally got fed up and asked to speak to a supervisor last week and he said he would get back to me. Still waiting for that call. The customer service is horrible and there is no communication between the customer or LG. After this experience I will not buy LG products.
Good companies but you want to rise in quality .... Do not make more cellular .... T.V., microwave waves whatever they are great but your cell against them are very shabby
