I first used Lead Dog after Superstorm Sandy as we had just purchased the house a week before and were planning major modifications to the house. The storm increased the size and scope of that project. Although we hadn't even signed an agreement yet, they had dumpsters and demolition crews in the house three days after the storm tearing out the wet sheetrock so as to avoid any mold build up. The project continued along smoothly and we were able to live in the home ahead of schedule. The best recommendation I can give is that we just hired them for another project.

Lead Dog is a construction management led by GOOD HUMANS with great style. Lead Dog managed the addition of an in-law suite, three car garage and complete basement renovation two years ago at my home in Little Silver and my family and I could not be happier. The project was on time and under budget (something you rarely hear in the construction world) and every tradesman and woman who worked on our addition was reliable, honest and neat.
We were so pleased with Lead Dog we have entrusted them with our next project - a kitchen and bathroom renovation.

Not sure how, but I felt like I was Lead Dog's only client. I call they answer. I needed something and they'd arrive same day. Mike and Arline had vision that we didn't have. Great project management. Clear expectation setting and communication. Scheduling was done in coordination with our lives. Our home was always clean, and you'd never know there were crews there all day long. Quality and craftsmanship were top notch and the work is sustainable. Even months later if I ask them to look at something, they show up. I'll be honest, you get what you pay for and I'm making an investment in my home, my happiness and comfort, and the avoidance of future problems. Mike is open, honest and fair from the outset. He will explain risks, cost rationale, benefits and opportunities. He does everything he can to save customers from themselves. The guy knows what he's doing, and only trust him to do my work. Mike and Arline who plan it all out, to Michael and Tom who help run the day-to-day, to the trades they use to complete the work, Lead Dog is a fine-tuned machine. Home renovations are always stressful but to do it with a brand you can trust... working them makes you feel safe and confident in your investment and choice.

The best contractor in the whole Monmouth County and beyond. Always on time. Always someone to supervise the subs. A real pleasure to deal with, even after completion they are available for questions and help.

If you are hoping for your house to be poorly built and delivered to you months behind schedule, this is the builder for you! Get ready for weekly change orders and cost overruns. The best part is the excuses about weather and the cost of materials. This general contractor also has a long list of shady subs, in every trade, ready to take your money and disappear before you realize what they did wrong. Does he stand by the quality of his work, you ask? Just, wait and see.
