Good service friendly staff, the meats cuts could slightly be improve

Good atmosphere, good reasonable wine list. Very good value.
Excuse that. I had been invited and had not realized that the wine had been brought.

I went there during lunch, waited one hour for a steak and some spaghetti. When I asked for the fries that were advertised on the menu with every meal, the server said that it was just for the meals with meat when clearly advertised with every meal and "all you can eat". Pure laziness from the server on top of an attitude. Worst service I have ever gotten.

Last Friday evening I went to join friends who were going to eat at this restaurant. It was 6:30 p.m. and several tables were free, not a lot of traffic. I had already eaten and so I was not hungry. The waiter gives me a menu and the manager comes back a few minutes later to ask me what I'm having. I asked for a soup, question not to consume anything. The manager told me that I had to have a meal of $ 25 minimum since my friends shared an appetizer and that he cannot afford everyone to do this. Ordered a 3oz tartare which tasted more lime and green onions than salmon and a green salad at $ 8 for a total of $ 25 finally. Congratulations. My friends did not appreciate the attitude you gave me and we never intend to go back there again. There are so many better restaurants in MTL than that.

Had a good time with good wine, great steak and friends. Place was reasonably busy and everyone seemed to be quite pleased.

I am delighted to have met the employees of this company. They were very friendly and gave me all the information about the service and the quality. I would recommend, then, to take a look. This company has very good services and you will not regret it.

The service was great, our waiter was very nice and friendly however the food was extremely average.
The French onion soup lacked broth, the vegetables that came with the steak frite had no flavour not even salt or pepper. The steak was mediocre, not what you would expect from a place that specializes in steak.

Great steak! Little bit crowded. I take off 1 star because they pushed us out as they had group reservation.

The service is poor and in addition you are forced to pay it in the invoice. A big disappointment for the food which is still expensive.

Had reservations, ordered the Chateaubriand. Outstanding value for the sheer quality of the food we received. Great location with a nice street view of Saint Antoine. Service was courteous, polite and rapid. Meat cooked perfectly and the all you can eat fries is just the cherry on top. Fantastic experience. Thanks for making our date night tonight awesome!

Unfortunately we went when they had heating issue... We had to eat with our coat on. Usually a good place. I would not go back when it's cold.

Great place, steak was perfect as it should be seing it is their specialty. Staff was very good and made sure all was okay every so often, you don t feel forgotten. Only issue was to find parking outside on a Saturday night but that has nothing to do with the food and service.

I went during a work lunch event. We were a group of 30 people spread out across 2 tables. The food was what I expected. Nicely cooked Medium Rare. A lil underwhelming on the portion considering the price.

But I absolutely need to comment on the horrible service. Our waiter was completely overwhelmed with the amount of people and by the time he decided to serve us our dessert (part of the table d'hote) we had to leave; we were there for almost 90 mins.

The evening menu is a bit expensive but that's all I can fault the restaurant for. The menu offers more than just steak.

Every year the work takes me to Montreal, a disappointment to find my st-paul fried steak renovated with very little taste a low-end industrial look and a very cold atmosphere. We booked 3 weeks in advance and despite everything we ended up facing the front door the already uncomfortable metal chairs were cold. the people around us kept their coats. the menu was rather expensive for the quality of food offered, soft fried squid and a tough steak were at the rendezvous if you plan a small dinner with friends to chat quietly this is clearly not the place. Maybe I was too attached to my good restaurant but unfortunately they just lost me as a customer

Good restaurant and good food. The atmosphere is nice. I think the service is rather ordinary, for example the server did not ask us any time if everything was to our taste during dinner and precisely my steak was overcooked ... Too bad for the price paid, it could be better. I still give 4 stars since the overall experience was very nice!

The food is very good the servers are very fast and courteous but there was only downside it is a restore bring your wine if I had known I would have brought a bottle but apart from its I really liked my experience there and the place is well located for after eats to go for a walk near the old port I really liked my experience it's really to try for big meat lovers

Price a bit high for the quality. However, the bib is very good.

Steak House. Delicious grilled meats served with fries, beans and sauce of your choice. Nice selection of desserts. Beautiful decor. Courteous and efficient service. Good atmosphere. Bring your own wine.

An unacceptable experience mussels at will. Me and my partner we went to dinner my partner takes mussels at will. Our plate arrives and the waiter tells my partner you are entitled to a plate because we have more mussels at will. that five other people we ordered after us. He serves you mussels afterwards he tells you that you have no right to other MOLDS AT WILL and in addition you pay the big price no reduction We called the owner for him to say that it is unacceptable and he made for answer it is things which happen you just did that to six customers in the time that we were there that not LOOKING FORWARD

food ok but very very very very loud it is crazy got in and no joke looked at my wife and wanted to go back out bad experience for us not going back

The manager is rude..they should teach him how to welcome customers.. customer is king .you should know how to treat your clients..and don't turn your back when you talk to people.

Enjoyed the warm atmosphere

Salmon was cooked but it was dry. It is not their specialty so don't serve it if you don't know how to cook it.

Ordered the ribeye and flat iron and both were done as ordered and very tasty, especially the ribeye. Fries were great as well as the green beans. Wonderful tiramisu and a super double cappuccino to end it all. Going to go back!

Very good tartares! I preferred the salmon which was delicious. We took the tuna too which was not naughty, but for my taste, it was too spicy (it was spicy, but especially the taste of spices made that we tasted only that),

The food was extremely good. Great service as well! The only thing I found off was the atmosphere. There wasn't enough lights except at the table where you have your meal. I would still recommend this place. You will understand about the atmosphere when you go there on an evening.

Not impressed with the service again. By noon (on a Thursday), the place was barely half filled with guests. As I asked for their lunch specials, the annoyed sounding response was that everything can be found on the menu (Great! But why is there a chalkboard then on the other side..?) The waiter didn't seem to care as he abruptly walked away to welcome a single incoming guest (instead of sorting out our order) and then didn't even come back for another 5-10 minutes.
Food was fine, nothing to write about, with steak cooked to my preference. One would expect a bit more for the money of what guests get charged for an average order here. Somehow, Steak Frites St-Paul has lost the former flair, customer service and level of quality for me. Disappointed visit.
