It was good. Room clean and bed very comfortable. Major problem though was lift out of action. Evedently had been so for over a week causing major chaos. Not what i expected from a five star hotel.

I appreciated the cleanliness of the room, easy access to the North Terminal, and the friendliness of the staff. I also appreciated having a mini fridge and spacious bathroom. The restaurants were all a bit expensive, but there certainly were food options available in the terminal nearby. I would return and recommend to others.

as normal a good experience with sofitel gatwick, exept when we returned to hotel from flight, our car had been moved, but then discovered drivers mirror had been broken, no glass on floor and all the glass gone from mirror, but most dissapointing was that nobody had reported the damage!. still waiting to hear from your department.

Location great for airport. Rooms comfy and clean concierge very helpful. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Lounge area bar staff very unfriendly and after sitting for 20 minutes needed to go to bar to ask for service. When drinks served they where plonked noisily onto table spilling coffee. Girl obviously not happy at work today. However as a paying customer I do not need to see her unfriendly. Bad service mood of the day. Spoilt my and my business meeting guests time .

Nothing much to said. Everything is good. Staff are friendly, good service. Even a window cleaner is very friendly, although he doesn't speak well, but he is willing to talk. Like his big smile! Except the girl who checked me in a bit too rushed. She is great, only when she explained everything a bit too fast.

The waiting time to check in is rather too long which puts a damper on the beautiful experience you can enjoy afterwards. This is an airport hotel so the check in process should be facilitated to accommodate the regular flow of guests. More check-in points need to be opened and a concierge desk made available to deal with other queries - after all it is a luxury hotel.

Great location, ease of access to both North & South Terminals. Our check-in experience was fast and efficient. The room was clean and well stocked with amenities - a bit bit short on accessible power points maybe but that's not too hard to manage. Staff at reception friendly, courteous and very helpful.

Room comfortable and clean but decor was old fashioned and dated. Rather surprised that for a hotel of this standard only one small sachet of shower gel supplied for a double room. Would have expected biscuits on the tea & coffee making tray.

I stay here a lot. Its really convenient for the airport, especially the North Terminal. The breakfast is great, but nothing here is cheap! Try to get a room with an outside view, I think it's the even numbers

Great hotel

Great hotel
Super easy and quick the connection with the airport
Quick and easy check in
There s a person that helps with the luggage, very much appreciated especially when you ve got an infant in your arms.
Good size room, we asked a cot for the baby, they provided a mothercare one, perfect size, baby slept well there.
Hermes producs provided in the toilet, lovely orange blossom smell.
Slippers, room vests, extra pillows, hairdryer...we had everything
A little hiccups was the air-con broken and it was very hot day (24 degrees outside) and the window couldn t be opened but with the fan on we had some relief after a few hours.

Nice choice of restaurants.
We ate at la brasserie, lovely people are working there, the chef came personally at my table for my very problematic allergies situation and prepared me a very delicious and special dish.
We had a welcome drink a La Terrace, nice place and people too.

Breakfast is various and people were happy to prepare me a special meal there too.
Check out was quick and easy.
Highly recommended

We booked into a club room and as we arrived at the hotel much later than expected and had an early flight, went straight to the lounge. The lounge has a good view over the runway so we could watch the aircraft take off and land. It's very comfortable with plenty of tables and the canapes and drinks were excellent. But what really made our brief stay so enjoyable was the hostess Margot ( apologies if it's misspelt). We remembered her from two years ago. She was so very friendly, helpful and polite. She made absolutely sure we were made welcome and our drinks replenished. She is a real credit to the Sofitel. We didn't have time for breakfast or use any if the other facilities but I must say that based on our experience we would certainly go back agai

Just a 1 night stay with parking prior to a trip to Tenerife from Gatwick South Terminal. Very easy to get to the shuttle. As usual, an excellent stay with no problems with car parking arrangements. Only downside this time was the main bar was undergoing renovation - so seating choices were limited.

I stayed here overnight before a flight. Great location, worth the trip from the other side of the airport. Beds were comfortable, room very clean and breakfast buffet was outstanding The restaurant options were good but the price was too expensive for the portions the quality poor and service in that one poor. The chicken cashew was about 3/4 if a cup and they charged more for rice. Which was also a tiny amount and was so crispy and stuck together I could barely chew it. We sat about 10 minutes before we we waited on and had to flag someone down to ask for more water.
We did have a fire drill at 7am. Not the hotels fault but thankful we were only outside for a short time so as not to miss our flight. I noticed staff bringing towels to those who came without jackets as it was cool. They took good care of their guests.
Highly recommend the hotel but due to the restaurant in the evening I would only give it a 4 And a half if I could...

From the moment we arrived the team at the hotel were superb, very friendly and helpful, the room comfortable as was the bed.
The bar staff were also friendly and attentive with a good knowledge of their stock, overall a very pleasant stay and a great nights sleep before a very early start.

The welcome at reception was, as always, friendly and efficient. However, on arriving at my room I found that the sofa had been made up as a bed. There was, therefore, no dining table and chair which made eating my room service dinner not easy.
I had booked my room well in advance and therefore the room should have been made up for single occupancy.
The reason I stay at your hotel is because it is in the right terminal for my EasyJet flight. However in future, if travelling On my own, I will think of trying somewhere else.

From the moment we arrived and had our bags taken to reception we were treated like royalty. Jonathan on reception upgraded our room and treated us to free drinks in the bar as it was our anniversary. Top staff top service and a great start to the holiday

We weren't staying at the hotel but chose to celebrate our anniversary with a dinner at the La Brasserie restaurant, our second time there. The cuisine is modern European, the menu focussed and the and venue contemporary. There's a decent winelist, with a good selection available by the glass. The prices are fairly high but they do provide discounts to Gourmet Society cardholders. We both had curried smoked monkfish as a starter which was delicious. For mains we had lamb rack and a braised Guinea Fowl breast. Both good but the Guinea Fowl the more interesting of the two. The desserts were also good, though the cheesecake's fruit component was a bit weak. The service was attentive if in some cases a little rushed. However, we were well looked after by one of the waitresses and the restaurant most kindly served a little treat when we shared what we were celebrating.
