Room and service were excellent. Food/beverage options lacking in an area where most hotels of this caliber have fantastic, hip offerings. Hotel on its own is what this rating is for and I would stay again for the prime location and service.
Stayed over at Le Meridien La Ramblas around the Christmas holidays. The hotel is located on the top end of La Ramblas which makes the hotel right at the heart of Barcelona, almost like staying on Barcelona's version of Times Square.
Within the same building there's a Carrefour for groceries, and there's a spa and pool which I tried one evening.
Location wise, it's in between 2 metro stations on the same line, Catalunya and Liceu. There's a Starbucks just in the building next door, as well as a good restaurant opposite called Luzia as well as one inside the hotel called Centonze. Centonze in particular was a favourite of mine. An amazing serving of dishes that I would consider one the best I had in Barcelona and that's not an easy thing to achieve considering the dizzying array of choices on the gourmet front. Plus, while I was there they had a SPG promotion that made the meal really value for money. The place is on the higher-end scale but comparable or better value then the more touristy fare you get near the harbour.
One note is that Barcelona has strict laws on occupancy and that caught me by surprise as the hotel could not check my family in. There was 4 of us and 2 of them are kids. Luckily, there was a family room available which I had to pay additional for (if only I've been upgraded!). So if you're bringing kids, look out for this requirement in case you get stranded.
After the initial distress, we were delighted when we got into our family room. There was a living room with a convertible sofa, the bedroom was huge and the bathroom equally as huge. Totally loved the bathroom. It had a large separate shower and a bath. The best surprise of all was the outdoor patio that greeted us when we pull open the blinds. Running the length of the room from the living room to the bedroom, there were sunbeds and and outdoor dining table. We were really blessed with a warm weather over Christmas which meant we could enjoy ice-cream out on the patio and enjoy the outdoors while we were there.
On one of the evenings, I ventured into the spa and got myself a treatment. I didn't had my swim trunks with me (didn't think I needed one in winter) and was unable to take advantage of the spa, pool and saunas. The massage I received was pleasant and the hour went by too quickly.
In the lobby itself there's a waiting area that has been designed like a living room, complete with a piano. It was really nice hanging out here while waiting for the rest of the family to get ready before heading out.
Overall, the central location of the hotel meant that I didn't had to go far to explore Barcelona attractions, get food or shopping. We walked almost everywhere, supplemented by the metro and the bus which was extremely convenient.
Super perfect location, there has a lot of shops in walking distance and there has big super market at the corner . There is so close to the Market
A hotel where everything is designed for children: details at check-in, spacious and very clean family suites, Wii to play, children's fontvella waters, snacks, Lego for children, but above all an impeccable and very, very near. Children feel at home !!!
Highly recommended !!
Elegant, comfortable and functional ... in the center of Barcelona
I have not been inside but in this hotel I stayed with characters like Madona, Maikel Jackson ........
This hotel is located in an exceptional area of the capital. I love the design of their rooms as well as the proximity to various shopping centers. The gym and spa are a bit lacking but the rest is of great quality. Despite being on the Ramblas it is completely quiet.
Nice ambience, fantastic location, right off La Rambla, very friendly and helpful staff.
Fantastic address- just off Las Ramblas. Good hotel with comfortable rooms. Service was excellent.
Excellent Hotel in the Ramblas of Barcelona. Beautiful inside and very good service. Very central. It has a pool and spa.
Attentive staff but if you are looking for somewhere to go, do not ask them, they will only send you one of those who give them commission.
A pity I will not return.
Very nice, but be prepared to deal with the hectic Las Ramblas walkway.
It was nice hotel to stay in during this event Cisco live 2020
It was located at La Rambla street. We wasn't stay in guests but the employees were super friendly and treated us like we were staying there. A big shoutout to Santi who manage the cafe at the lobby area. Most delicious red velvet cake ever.
Great staff! The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. They provided fantastic restaurant recommendations too. Check out the spa! The sauna was amazing after long days of sightseeing and I never saw any other guests using it.

Rooms were small and quite basic for a 4/5 star hotel. Nice breakfast.
Great place and everyone is so helpful and friendly! Vale!
Treatment, cordiality, kindness, cleanliness, good treatment .. these are some of the adjectives that define this excellent hotel.
Courtesy and kindness. Very very professional staff. Cleanliness and efficiency. Excellent breakfast
Beautiful and the staff was excellent. Breakfast is superb.
It is a great place to sleep and they have a varied and wonderful breakfast, but they do not have any other activities or even a garden compared to the price of the room you find expensive.
Superb location on the Rambla, very good treatment by staff, well organized event.
Beautiful experience, extreme professionalism and customer care
I really like this collection of hotels, always a pleasant stay. Here, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating of our 1.5 y/o. I particularly like the (Malin+Goetz) moisturizer and am so glad it's offered here.
Everything was fine as it should be. The 5th star deduction is because of our extra bed what we should rent for 50 the night, which was an air mattress ... they gave us then an upgrade to a suite which the mistake More
Great hotel and very helpful staff. Immediately on Los Ramblas and handy to plenty of restaurants. You can sit in the corner bar and just people watch after legging it around Barca
I'm bumping this up to 3/5 because they did care enough to reach out to me to address some issues.
The staff here truly are great and I believe they do try. Hotel is a great location for those wanting to be in the middle of all the tourist attractions and sights.
However, the stuff I wrote previously about the room quirks still stands and they really should follow the trends and get rid of this minibar system altogether. I can't imagine it's that much of a profit center vs the dissatisfaction it causes as reviewing the charges is one of the last interactions you have with the hotel.
The Marriott/Starwood merger is proving to be a disappointment for me personally in that I'm seeing less and less reason to be loyal to the brand and attain status every year anymore. If hotels like this one just adhere to just the bare minimum when it comes to brand standards there really isn't much to write home about when it comes to hotel status. I picked this property because it was part of the Marriott/SPG chain and paid more than H10 or Bagues nearby which would've been my other choices.
The hotel is one of the best in Barcelona, Spain. Very nice rooms specially the one with terrace. It is the best hotel location as it is located in the heart of Rambles the famous street in Barcelona all the best restaurants and coffees are around. The hotel is also located 2 minute walking from Catalonia square we all tourist buses are there, don't forget to feed the birds in Catalonia square very interested experience for families with kids. However, the hotel is quite expensive and will cost a lot compare to others.
Nice enough place but service is more 2-3 star then what it should be.
Alberto on the main desk wouldn't come out to see customers unless you shouted and then when he did come out he wouldn't book a taxi for you unless you paid 95 for a 12 fare.
The service is amateurish, impersonal and generally unwelcoming.
There are some exceptions. In the restaurant/bar they are good, the concierge is good. The cleaners ring your bell despite having DND on the door.
I'm a Marriott Platinum Premier member and quite frankly this is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, from a service perspective. Location is good, the rooms are nice but if you want to feel welcome - go somewhere cheaper and not on La Rambla.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff (well, most of them). Great location. Rooms acceptable but fairly old, breakfast very average, lunch is very quiet with a very small selection.
Stayed in a junior suite for our anniversary. Wonderful room, very spacious and it even has a tv in the mirror! The breakfast that was included was fantastic. It is on la rambla and you can get anywhere in the city using the subway. I would stay here again.
Great hotel for the price had some good deals. Really nice location in the heart of Barcelona on the rambla so can see everything
I have never stayed at Le Meridien Barcelona, since I live in the same city, but I have had the pleasure of visiting its restaurant and cafeteria facilities open to the general public. On the one hand, Centonze, the More
everything about the room was great. The location of the hotel is perfect for turing the city. Breakfast was really good as well.
Located on La Rambla where is the heart of Barcelona, Le Meridien was the best hotel we spent on our vacation. The room were clean and great decoration. The staffs were helpful, friendly, and especially my husband got his birthday card by the time we checked- in ( the girl knew because of his passport).
We appreciate for the attention to detail that we won't forget.
We will come back very soon.
When you arrive in the morning, you are kindly welcomed with cool lemon water and champagne, and take on the suitcase. You can leave it and return when you check in. When the room was ready, he said he would call and I checked in before checking in. There is a nice tapas house and pizzeria in the immediate vicinity, and there is also a carpu so it is convenient for shopping. It was located on a busy, big street, so it was easy to get around. The room is quiet even though it is a big roadside. Three elevators are divided into high and low floors. The room is neat and clean. It was convenient because there were enough long chairs to place two suitcases. Especially, I like the bathroom layout and have shampoo, rinse, body wash, body lotion. Outlet is convenient in several places including side of bed.
Being from Barcelona, I have never stayed at this hotel but I want to talk especially about its Sunbathing Lunch, an urban solarium where you can relax, eat and sunbathe for two hours any morning / noon of the week.
The Sunbathing Lunch proposal, unique in Barcelona and open to everyone during the summer months, includes a light lunch with a drink served in the Spa, 2 hours of access to the terrace and sunscreen. In addition, it also means a 20% discount on all treatments performed there. We went in July and the truth is that it allowed us to disconnect from the beauty of the stress of the whole week. The price is from 15.
Great place to stay. Super central. Staff was very kind and helpful. Parking a bit pricey, but comes with service.
The place is very beautiful and the breakfast is great and varied ... the price is a bit high.
Its location is on Rambla Street.
The room was broken shower and unfortunately until the partial repair was not possible to bathe in lukewarm water - the shower flew only boiling water. It would be much more inconvenient if not the kindest reception staff - especially Kasia (unfortunately I do not remember the name, but it was something related to the angel, which was very adequate to the behavior of Mrs. Kasia :)) Care, delightful disposition and quickness of the case it compensated for any inconveniences. I have always thought that one should appreciate good employees, Ms. Katarzyna is certainly such. It performs its duties even above the requirements, which makes me feel comfortable in the hotel. Thank you, Kasia !! Agata and Przemek
How can you not love it? next to La Rambla, great position! Everything was perfect!
Very friendly staff, hands-on and helpful at all times. The room was clean and well equipped. Location couldn't have been better. Would absolutely stay here again.
Our stay here for our honeymoon was wonderful! We booked through costco and felt that we were treated as preferred guests for this reason. The hotel manager gave us a bottle of Cava during our stay for our honeymoon. The concierge was very helpful with secrets, tips and suggestions for things to do in the city. We had an incredible time because of him. I felt sad leaving this hotel because I would not see the staff again, that is how wonderful they made us feel while we were there.
The hotel is centrally located. The staff is very accommodating, professional and attentive. The room size is what you would expect for a downtown hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are very modern.
The location is great, near the market and all its food, 20 minute walk to the beach, and the metro. The room is luxurious, with a huge shower stall, sitting chairs, and comfortable bed.
Excellent hotel and central location of Ramla Street
Very central place, close to everything walking but despite being close to everything is not the best area, Raval and Ramblas are places that better not go. The facilities are very good but the price is somewhat high
A good place, with a correct restaurant, only one negative thing, if you are in the restaurant you need a GPS to go to the bathroom
Very nice staff, had the best stay I could hope for.
Ideally located in the old town and 2 steps from the Rambla. Impeccable service and comfortable room
Strictly ok hotel. Good location but dated rooms and very limited breakfast selection. Would not recommend.
Nice remodelled room & in room amenities. Gym is very basic and quite small. Food is average and staff is not that polite. Biggest pain point....transport. Asked staff for a cab and was told to go get one myself. No proper system in place to offer transport to guests.
Loved the experience. Was hesitant to book it in first place because of location. In end, Was very impressed by the attentive service of hotel staff, the comfortable room, well maintained common areas and room amenities. I still find Las Ramblas a bit sketchy after dark but this time appreciatedthe easy access to Gothic Quarter restaurant scene. Will definitely be back.
Incredibly friendly staff. Amenities are excellent (though I wish the excerise room was a little bigger).
A classic with a quiet bar right next to Les Rambles.
I love visiting this hotel, it's always great here!
Fantastic location..very comfortable, we'll apointed
I have stayed in this hotel for four days. No matter the hotel environment is good and front office staff is good.
I ended up with very bad experiences related to security me safety. Nearly 700 of money in cash has been stolen from my wallet which I noticed only after coming back home. This experience ruined my all good opinions on this hotel.
This is Starwood group hotel and these kind of things happening in the hotel ruins the image of the hotel leaving bad image on the group. I stayed in the same group hotel in lot of places around the world never had such experience which I had in Barcelona.
I hope this will be resolved and restore the image of the hotel.
the city of goose dance .. indonesia fariz rm has also made the song barcelona cool city ... music
I stopped one summer day to have a drink and the attention was excellent, the place comfortable, silent and pleasant.
August 18, 2017. 18:46 Buenos Aires time. Argentina. I wrote this comment a few minutes ago on Tripadvisor and I really hope they publish it. Here I copy it for the whole world to know, the human quality of the Hotel More
