The location is good, the beds and pillows are good to sleep.
After turning off the lights at night and going to bed, the walkways and toilets have induction lighting, which is a very intimate design.
Great restaurant.

What a perfect location! Right in the heart of Las Ramblas, this hotel is perfectly positioned and within walking distance to the Gothic Quarter, Plaza Catalunya and other major tourist sites. Mercado de La Boqueria is right next to the hotel and the perfect stop for breakfast and lunch. The gym room, although small is well equipped.

The only down side would be that despite the price of the Suites, the hotel felt a little dirty like the carpet needed replacing and the bathroom tiles needed a good scrub! I imagine there s high traffic through this hotel though due to the location.

The location is superb and quiet, but the room and the breakfast restaurant are a little rough.

I wondered what the price would be, but is Barcelona expensive in the first place?

If so, is this about normal?

We have stayed on a Saturday in January festivities in San Antoni, the next neighborhood. Regardless of the date, its location to get to know Barcelona or to rest from it is unbeatable. A 10. Perfect soundproofing of the rooms. We were lucky enough to get one of the newly renovated rooms, so ask for them if you can. The bed, the bathroom, its amenities, the warmth and quality of the room, a 10. Impeccable public relations.
We had a coffee at the hotel's Le Pop cocktail bar led by Enrique. He made us a chocolate coffee and another with Catalan cream. This bar, to the right of the reception, is very cozy and surprisingly empty.
We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant in CentOnce. Good products and variety. We miss that the celiac corner was not separated from the area where the toasts are made, that the juice was not natural, or the freshly made pancakes with a cook making omelets and eggs at the moment. Perfect service, lots of attentive staff. Good coffee too.
We tried the SPA. Tiny and nice. The sauna was at its peak and being January we were able to bathe in the outdoor jacuzzi. A luxury in Barcelona.

*****

Very nice SPG hotel situated midway on Las Ramblas. This can be a mixed blessing; especially over a 4 day weekend during Spring break. With crowds everywhere, the hotel is anice refuge. I could actually give it 4.5 stars for service and the physical property.

Hotel's location is great, super central. It's quite beautiful as well.

Breakfast was good, with Iberian ham, smoked salmon and omelettes/eggs cooked in the moment.

Tried a suite and it's pretty amazing, views are great and the sunrise was mind blowing.

Le Meridien Barcelona is tucked away on a quiet street off of the craziness of Las Ramblas so the location is unbeatable if you want quiet relaxation near the most highly touristed part of town. Rooms are small but comfortable and efficient. Service is excellent.

I am a rewards member and have stayed in many different Marriott products. This hotel is ideally located and the staff is accommodating and welcoming. I especially enjoy Jackie (bartender) in the restaurant. I have two criticisms. The first is I purchased the previous Saturday even though we weren't checking in until Sunday morning so there would be no issues with us checking in early Sunday. When we arrived, we were told the room was not ready due to construction on the street. They were trying to get us a room in another part of the hotel so there would be no undue noise. They put us in a temporary room until the other room could be ready. This was exactly the situation I wanted to avoid as we were exhausted from our journey and I paid for Saturday. We had to change rooms later in the day which meant we could not unpack and freshen up. The second is the wi-fi does not appear to work in our room. We are on the third floor (our view is La Rambla) and the connection keeps cutting off, which has been frustrating when I am on my laptop attempting to reply to emails. My boyfriend was also frustrated as his phone kept losing connection. Other than that, our stay has been great so far.

Staff is spectacular, truly accommodating and responsive. Wifi throughout the hotel is spotty and slow (if internet is even available). Room service food terrible but great location makes up for small annoyances. Nice size rooms but furnishings could use a refresh.

Good location but room is small. Quality of hotel doesn't meet the class of hotel. Overall, good staff, but had a little trouble with checkout time. We were given different time everytime we asked the frontdesk. Need to improve their services and train their staff.

It's ok. It has some really great points. And some not so great. The room we had was kind of inadequate. We actually had to 'climb into the tub' to take a shower. And the fixture fell off the wall spraying water everywhere. I don't really like to do repairs while renting. No pool. Fitness room inadequate and small. Ok. Location is really good if you like being in the heart of it all. Staff is very attentive at the front and it's very safe. Meeting room was small and plain.

So it's 50/50 depending on what you want. Sorry my pictures don't seem to post well in Spain.

Surrounded by the shops and restaurants on Las Ramblas, this contemporary hotel is a 4-minute walk from Catalunya metro station and 1 km from the Museu Picasso.

The polished rooms offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffeemaking facilities, plus bathrooms with rainfall showerheads and TVs. Upgraded rooms feature Las Ramblas views, and suites add sitting areas or living rooms. Family suites come with pull-out sofas and Wii games consoles, while select suites have terraces. Room service is available.

There's a Mediterranean-style restaurant, a cafe and a hip, retro cocktail lounge. Other amenities include a spa and 7 meeting rooms.

My first time to Barcelona and I am very pleased with the hotel. The room I had was slightly upgraded and had a comfortable King bed. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. The concierge was particularly helpful pointing out locations to pick up items to replace a lost bag and totally understood what I was looking for in a restaurant. For those of you who have status on SPG, the hotel will not disappoint. I only ate breakfast at the hotel but again, staff was awesome and the spread accommodated American as well as European and some Asian tastes. No Starbucks in the room, but a hot water pot with instant coffee typical in European hotels. One other nice touch, the shampoo and soap in the bathroom had wonderful scents to provide a luxurious end to a long day of travel or sight seeing...

The situation makes it. Super centrally located, short ways to the different quarters of the old town. The equipment is still very good, it shows up in some places already the wear. Breakfast with a large selection of cold cuts and cheese. Freshly prepared egg dishes to choose from. Professional service at the reception.
