They appear to use aluminum (a neurotoxin) here in the manufacture of the enamel coated pots. You can see for yourself by searching for a Tour of Le Creuset Factory in France from David Lebovitz. One of the pictures is the bags of the stuff labeled "AC45 Made in France". I thought the point was to get safe cookware but I don't trust all these new age pots that are coming out. I will never trust aluminum or teflon.

Le Creuset is the best. So much so that we went out of our way to stop by the factory. It's a nice new store, but just a retail shop. Nothing special for tourists (missed opportunity). Prices are less than retail but about the same you can find online. Certainly not worth lugging back to the USA. I was also surprised to see a lot of the products are now stamped as made in Portugal, Thailand, China, and others. The etching on my triple core pots has long worn off, but I don't remember seeing that. Didn't buy anything. Not worth the trip.

Products recognized worldwide for aesthetics and quality in a general sense. The sales prices are justified. Reception, after-sales service also of quality. Nothing negative in my opinion. Very good for these products made in France

Absolute quality for these utensils that last ... Fleuron of French cuisine. High prices but less than in shops. The welcome is always charming. Worth the detour to anticipate his gifts. Braderie very popular in November.
