The theater as amazing as ever, imposing space with quality performances and spiritual reflection, experience that nourishes the soul, the mind and cultivates you in a superior dimension !! The actors are excellent, the staff friendly and helpful, only some directors, at least of course, can be a little bit extravagant, so that the magic of the meanings he wants to pass is lost !!!! NEED to visit it all !!!!

The State Theater of Northern Greece is one of the largest theatrical organizations in Greece, but also in Europe. It has been operating since 1961, promoting theatrical art through its stages, through tours to other theaters in Greece and abroad, but also through actions in alternative venues. The K.Th.B.E. is a legal entity under private law and is subsidized by the Ministry of Culture.

The NTUA, together with Vasiliko and Moni Lazariston, are the only theaters in the city with remarkable infrastructure. The performances given give life to the city. Not all are worthwhile, but a lot of effort is being done. We honor the theater and our city.

Of all the theaters in Thessaloniki, my favorite. The size of the human in order for a performance to function well, a timeless value that we must safeguard by all means, but mainly with our love and participation.

Reliable staff, beautiful theater.

Reliable staff, beautiful theater.
The negative is that because of the old age and the unauthorized changes some issues like toilets can not be improved.

It's a functional, plain building with exactly the amount of comfort needed for it to allow someone to concentrate on the performance. It's adequately, though not excessively staffed, and the staff is friendly.

About National Theatre of Northern Greece

The National Theatre of Northern Greece (NTNG) is the largest theatrical and cultural organization in Greece. Founded in 1961, it has been a pioneer in promoting Greek theatre and culture both nationally and internationally. The NTNG is based in Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in Greece, and has a rich history of producing high-quality theatrical performances that have won critical acclaim.

The NTNG's mission is to promote Greek theatre and culture by producing plays that reflect the country's rich cultural heritage while also exploring contemporary issues. The organization aims to create an environment where artists can experiment with new forms of expression while also preserving traditional forms of theatre.

One of the key strengths of the NTNG is its commitment to education. The organization offers a range of educational programs for students at all levels, from primary school through university. These programs aim to introduce young people to Greek theatre and culture while also providing them with opportunities to develop their own artistic skills.

In addition to its educational programs, the NTNG hosts a range of events throughout the year that showcase Greek theatre and culture. These events include festivals, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, and performances by local artists as well as international guests.

The NTNG has gained international recognition for its work over the years. It has participated in numerous international festivals around Europe including Edinburgh Festival Fringe (UK), Avignon Festival (France), Istanbul Theatre Festival (Turkey), Balkan Theatre Network Meeting Point Plovdiv (Bulgaria) among others.

One notable aspect about this company is their commitment towards sustainability practices which are reflected on their operations such as recycling materials used during productions or using eco-friendly products whenever possible.
