Thanks to staff at Grant Kaplan, my PERM application was approved by the DOL. There was no need to submit additional information as the original application was complete. Before we submitted the application, the legal team found and fixed some potential discrepancies that could have lead to either an audit or rejection. We hired this attorney to advise us on and to assist us with our application for immigration. Both my husband and I are attorneys in South Africa. We are upfront legal professionals and certainly did not expect a colleague to behave in the unprofessional manner that he did i.e. he was incompetent and inept. Notwithstanding us having paid for consultations and services, he failed to complete his mandate.

He came to South Africa, as he normally does to recruit new clients and my husband and I met with him and his wife Gail, who also works for him.

An amount of $ 10 000 was requested and paid to him. He assured us he knew what he was doing and that we would get citizenship. We subsequently sold our property and moved to USA, on his advice.

We consulted with an attorney in New York who advised us that Grant Kaplan had badly advised us and that we should report him to the Washington State Bar.

We were forced to return to South Africa, with our four young children, when he demanded exorbitant sums of money, and notwithstanding our having explained to him that our funds were now depleted he continued to harass us. He even tried to intimidate us.

We are now reporting him to the Washington State Bar.

Based on our FACTUAL experience and his failure to deliver on his undertaking, I do not recommend you trust this attorney!

Mr. Kaplan and his Team have been vital in my journey towards my citizenship. It was a very long journey but I am happy to say that I am finally got to the destination. I want thank Gail, Suzanna, and Grant for all your help and making the process a bit easier to deal with. I would recommend anyone serious about their immigration to the U.S. to contact him and his team. I look forward to continue to recommend any friends and family to him.

Most law firms, once they get the money from you, stop communicating and you can never reach them to receive updates, which ruins customer experience and if the outcome is negative, their reputation goes down.

On the other hand, Grant Kaplan and his team have always been helpful to me and picked up the phone/scheduled an appt each time I had questions. They are prompt and make me aware of all the steps that are needed to be made. I am still in the process of fighting my battles and, so far, this law office has made me feel extatic about hiring them.

Punctual, transparent, reasonable, and friendly. These are just some of the qualities I can describe this law firm by.

SAD, ANNOYING, DISTURBING SERVICE
Contracted and hired firm. Eight month later with failing to keep appointments, non return of phone messages and not doing what was contracted and promised. Had a fool proof system of one staff member covering with excuses for another and in the end try to blame their client for their own short comings. Had to go elsewhere, at great cost to secure myself and my family, in the process losing thousands for nothing in return. Refused to refund monies paid. I do not recommend them at all, be aware and careful especially if you're South African when asked to sign contracts. This is a one way road to failure.

Attention to detail gets the job done. Grant and his team are very detail oriented.

6 months ago Mr. Kaplan and his team took over my Immigration case, I thought it would be impossible for me to adjust my status since my case was denied. MR. Kaplan sent a letter to the immigration about the decision and did over all the papers, He sent Mr. Adam Dorsky to the interview with me and everything went well, a week later i received my green card. I give God thanks and i want to say thank you to Mr. Kaplan and his team.

Don t even consider this business . Not an attorney as the listing here clearly states! At least Kathryn Maxwell is not an attorney.

My wife and step children just received their permanent residence visas! We owe a great deal of thanks to Grant and Keyla.

Keyla was very patient with us. We had questions....A LOT of them. She always found out the answers and got back to us. Making sure all documents were completed correctly, sending to us for proofing, and then getting everything submitted in a timely fashion.

But, please be prepared to be patient with the entire process. This is the government we're talking about after all. However, with Grant and Keyla's help, there were NO mistakes and NO re-dos needed.

Just based on the response to the initial email and subsequent chat with Grant, we are feeling confident as we work on getting my brother and his family to the USA. So far so good! The website that they run about what to expect when immigrating from South Africa is well put together and thoughtful as they also have family pets to bring. We are excited to get the process started!

I do not recommend this firm. They are expensive and a complete waste of time. Save your money.

I was your client and you are well aware of this fact.

Check your bank records. More than $ 10 000 was paid into your bank account, by us. You promised and assured us that you would handle our matter professionally, You failed. Refund our money. I am reporting your unprofessional conduct to the Bar Council.

We have records of all of the above, including telecons with you, so stop lying and disputing facts.

Reading other reviews, I am appalled that you have subjected others to this as well.

Our review stays as it is factually correct.

I went to this firm and told them my CASE and it was an easy case I feel like they took me the longer way maybe to get more money out of me am not sure I went to get refund they said no I asked to talk to a lawyer I talked to a different lawyer in the same firm and I tell him my case he says let's do it your way you are correct. Still no refund I payd 2500 for a waiver and to talk to 2 lawyers DON'T SAY I DID NOT PAY YOU ! I did it BY MYSELF and got my greencard already. Enjoy my 2500 dollars.

Weren't very proactive with my case, nor did they tske the time to give me updates related to progress in the case. I had to call USCIS every other day to push for certain resolutions that only required a phone call or email. The law office couldn't do it for me. The paralegals know more then the actual lawyers at the office. As well, they work very limited hours. My case didn't go well either.

Very professional team of dedicated lawyers. Five stars are not enough...

As frustrating and long winded the L1 VISA process was, it was made possible and bearable by the excellent service at Grant Kaplan. Even as I was nearing my wit's end as yet another RFE (Request for Evidence) was issued, Odila and Adam, handled it with aplomb. I believe that these lawyers are not as truthful as they can be. They took my daughter's money but promised to refund it after she complained about the service provided. When she called to arrange for the refund, no one returned her call. She is still waiting for a call back but they have left South Africa already.
