Great place for a walk or fly fishing. Great for kiddos as well. Sometimes if I don't want to work in the office I will work here since it has full Verizon LTE reception in the picnic area.

My favorite place to unwind with my husband and our youngins. Thank you lord for such a beautiful and calm place. I hate the stench of smokers that mess up our zen time away from the damn city and nature itself.

This is a great place to hike, picnic and chill by the river. There are a couple different trails and some pretty views. This park does get pretty crowded and you need to watch out for the bikers. Overall a really fun place for the whole family

Easy hike options that are great for kids. Lots of places to stop and throw rocks in the water (a toddlers dream). Pretty views. Easy to get to. Lots of picnic tables near parking area. I give three stars because it's always crowded. If you get there after 9 on a weekend, you won't find parking.

This area is great for short walks or hiking into the mountains. The main walkway is 1-1/3 mile and parallels Bear Creek heading West. It takes you buy an old Castle and some beautiful scenery. We enjoy bringing our dogs, and they love getting into the water for a swim. Very relaxed park, trail shared with bicyclists, so watch your back as sometimes they don't let you know their behind you. Most often they are very courteous. Only one area not far from the start, where trail is very narrow and twisted so you have to watch out for others coming in the other direction.

Absolutely gorgeous area!! Walk up river access, trails, sunny and shady areas, picnic tables and benches. Friendly people out enjoying themselves. If you love river rocks this is a great spot. Parking is kind of limited.

We saw many large groups that brought their own tables, grills, and chairs. I don't think that it was within the park rules to bring a grill; however, the park rangers didn't police it. They seemed to be on the look out for more egregious offenses.A parking space (the parking lot was completely full and we had to circle it a couple times for someone else to leave).

Nice easy hike for small children. The path was pretty even and flat. My boys loved all the inlets to the creek, where they could play. We went early in the morning and there was moderate traffic on the trail. The parking lot was a decent size.

I hiked this trail in later November in about 27 degree weather and I would do it all over again. All of the trail is flat and very family friendly, theres a small creek with stepping stones across but its very easy to navigate. HOWEVER, the only thing I wished I wouldve known is that when the flat trail 'ends', it actually continues up the mountain for another 7+ miles. I actually hiked up as far as I could but it became too Icy and I went back down. If youre brave enough to go up, fair warning, its steep, but breathtaking views and gorgeous mountain terrain. I was fortunate enough to see everything with a dusting of snow, which made it even more beautiful. The hidden castle around the bend was a cool find too

Beautiful trail. Not strenuous, great for the beginner hiker or kids. You're sharing with bikes, however, so be mindful of that. We didn't fish, but other people there said the fishing is great. Highly recommend.

The hike on Bruin Trail wasn't as challenging as I hoped. Rated moderate, I would classify it as fairly easy. It's not as even as Bear Creek Trail on which someone with mobility issues can enjoy themselves. No, Bruin Trail is good for actual beginning hikers. This stretch of Bear Creek Trail is more a walking trail. Cyclists can enjoy the trails for getting in some mileage, too. Kids could be seen enjoying various spots along the creek.

I work for Poop In A Group based in Denver and today my boss and I took some dogs on a field trip to this hiking trail. It was a bit icy, but still fairly easy to trek and we all had a great day.

This place is ridiculously cool with great climbing trees for the kids! Beautiful scenery and close enough to Denver for a day trip. Weekends get pretty packed so plan to arrive early. The river runs along/inside the park. Plan to bring a towel or two... Splashing around and getting your feet wet is part of the fun! Great walking trails for all endurance levels.

Nice and clean average relatively flat park adjacent to a stream. Little trashy, several pieces picked up here and there but mostly clean. Parking, sun exposure and dust are all issues to consider.

So fun! Lots of places to play in the creek without walking too far so we didnt have to be next to other families and could socially distance. Wear your swimsuit for playing in the water but bring tennis shoes for climbing the trees.

Parking is awful! Be prepared to drop off your party and park up on the the side of the main road. Other than that, it's a pretty good set of trails for toddlers to to hike. Super flat with some good spots to wade into shallow water. You're welcome for an actually useful review.

Although only 15 minutes drive from the Red Rocks park, this great place ideal for hiking, cycling, and picnic remains unknown to most visitors. We were lucky to capture the last beautiful autumn scenery along the Creek Side Loop trail before a first snow comes. Above all the park is free of charge.

Great mountain park close to the city. Downside is that it is heavily used do to that fact. Some trails are shared with mountain bike traffic, but there are also dedicated hiking trails. There are easy trails that are great for younger children, and also more difficult trails good for bigger kids. Many places to have a picnic close to the parking lot.

Great for kids and adults who don't want a difficult hike but want to get close to nature. Plenty of spots to wade in the creek. Lots of areas for dogs to cool off. Partially shaded trail, lots of pine trees so pause and soak in the smells.
