Mad trails and fun here! Creek is so peaceful and clean

Nice hiking trails along streams and plenty of shade under large tree canopies.

Great path with several exciting little mini trails carved out throughout the path. The kids really loved it.

If you don't show up early enough, you may have a difficult time finding a place to park. The hikes are nice a d the castle is really cool to look at.

Crowded as all get out but found a parking spot. Walked awhile and went down to the creek too let the kids wade. The edges of the creek could sure use some tending but it was a slow steady stream of water and she enjoyed it tremendously. All in all, nice spot to get away from the city for the day!

Nice park quick mile hike that starts and ends at a creek you can wade in. You can see and hear the highway though much of the loop so you never feel away from it all but it's still nice.

It has nice hiking trails but very limited parking, no water and no fire's. There are a few benches to sit along the trails. I would not recommend large family groups for partys.

This is a beautiful open space easily reachable from Denver. It can be busy on weekends but the weekdays are pretty mellow. And best of all it is free.

So pretty!! Pick up after your pets so it stays open!

I expected it to be busy on a Sunday. It was crowded with families and dogs swimming in the creek, almost all of them not wearing masks. The crowd thinned out hiking around Bruin Bluff Trail and people were more conscious about wearing a mask as we crossed paths. However, there was more than enough evidence of careless individuals on the trail with dog poo, litter and cigarette butts (really, while hiking?!)

Beware the entitled hikers that will jam up your climb. Xc mtb trail. Downhill is limited and separated. Technical Rocky climbs. The small gravel on the turns WILL get you if your not paying attention.

This is a very nice SUPER easy hike. Pay attention to where you are though. I went on the weekend, very busy. Then I went up mid week, nice light foot traffic. We did run into 1 rather aggressive dog and his owner had little to no control over him. Other then that this was a great hike. Make sure to hit the photo op.

Wonderful sounds of rushing water and well defined paths. If you walk far enough you will find the castle hidden in the woods.

Great hiking area for family and dogs. The loop is a nice walking trail along the water, beautiful views and the castle is super cool. Great place to take scenic pictures as well.

This is a very special park to me and my family. On July 15, 2018 we buried our little girl Guinea pig "PIGGY" here.

Awesome mountain biking and water access, but extremely crowded on the weekends

Great place to spend time hiking with family and friends, or even by yourself. Parts of the river are very shallow and perfect for a nice dip in the summer heat. They have ample bench tables for picnics. Also, very well kept bathroom facilities near the parking lot to the east of the park. All kinds of wild life (Which should be expected in the mountains), but my favorite are the hummingbirds! There are tons of them around and you can hear them flying around as you walk as well.

Oh, man! What a place! Ok. This spot is kind of great for everything. Wonderful trout population in the creek. Smaller fish, but so much fun to catch and release. Great for hiking. Easy hikes available. A public restroom. Public parking. Free parking. Very close to Morrison and Red Rocks. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping in and checking out. I've done a lot of fishing here and I love it. Highly recommended.

They have trails suitable for small children and decent facilities with bathrooms, tables and even an outdoor stage.

If you have not visited Lair O' the Bear Park you're missing out on a true gem. The trails are well maintained, lots of different paths, the river is amazing. Picnic areas and well maintained, great way to spend the afternoon.

It can get a little warm, so dress appropriately.

Great for kids--level hike--watch out for bikes though.
It fills up fast-- if you download the lot spot app, you can see if there is parking.

Great place to fish if you can find a place where people aren't swimming in the river

We love this park. It s challenging but not undoable. It s become so popular that we prefer to go early to beat the crowds. That usually works, even on holidays. Dog friendly on every level.

Challenge, but great hike, for me because it was so rocky. But next day we took a different direction and it was way better.

Trails are short but sweet. If you want a light walk, this hike is a quick and won't take the whole day

Clean and beautiful scenery. Many people taking pictures and even weddings were going on.

Great day holding and easy walking trails just minutes from Denver. Family friendly and stroller friendly for the really little ones. Lots of picnic and bbq spots along the Bear Creek.

Fairly easy trails. The view from panorama point is great ! Watch out for icy spots in the winter time.

Great 12 mile hike as an out and back. Can be very busy on weekends!

Beautiful place. I love the hiking trails. We also saw a deer and her baby as well as hummingbirds.

It was nice went there with my son and his family took the dogs for a walk on the trail very nice atmosphere I won t forget this place

Not an easy loop if you're trying to do the whole thing. It's definitely a beautiful place, though. There are mountains, castle, and a river to enjoy! Would definitely recommend!

Great trails and picnic spot not too far outside the city

Nice park, still surprised by the amount of trail parks in Colorado but I guess that's safer. Trails here are really easy, bathrooms available, picnic areas, large parking lot

Great loop for a walk, bring the kids or your dog. A long biking trail as well, or you can walk parallel to the creek.

Great place for short and long hikes. They have grills and restrooms. Very beautiful too.

Clean family friendly trails. Just make sure to watch for bikes. Dogs love playing in the river that runs through the trail as well, doggy bags on site if you forget to bring some. Parking can get pretty full over the weekend and holidays, but can usually find a spot. Neat castle to see when you walk down the trail

When it comes to getting away from hustle and bustle you can't beat nature, and this is a quiet beautifull place to go and forget about it all. Take the family, take the wife, that girl youve been talking to. Show them all a good time and come closer together naturally. Have fun

One of our favorite family hikes. Perfect for our 3 and 5 year old. About 1.5 miles in we stop by the creek, have lunch, play in the water and then walk back.

I come here all the time to walk up to the amazing castle. A must see for sure!

Did the loop. It's a pretty easy hike. Google maps didn't know the road to the park is closed and detour is in effect.
