A wonderful center of art and culture. Many free exhibits and some that cost. Definitely worth a stop if you are visiting the LA area. There is quite a bit of street parking. It's $14 at the museum.

So it was members Monday tonight and all the galleries were open. But the highlight for me was that there were so few people there. It is so unusual to be able to leisurely enjoy each gallery without having to maneuver around others. This is probably one of my most memorable museum visits ever.

WORST MUSEUM OF THE US. SHAME ON YOU LACMA CHARGING $25 WHEN MORE THAN HALF OF THE EXHIBITS ARE CLOSED. YOU GET ENOUGH MONEY FROM OTHER FOUNDATIONS AND DONORS AND THE FEE, AT THE CURRENT CONDITIONS, SHOULD BE UP TO THE VISITOR
THE LAYOUT IT'S PLAIN HORRIBLE, NO FLOW. I SIMPLY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THERE IS SUCH A HIGH RATING. ON TOP OF THAT, THEY CHARGE YOU $16 PARKING FEE

Beautiful place and such creativity. I enjoyed going through the entrance with the palm tree placement, the large rock through the aisle to the urban lights. Lots to see before going into the exhibit

Amaaaazing museum. Came in with a free student ticket, and was still able to see all the exhibits I wanted. Only drawback was that there was so much to see! Going to have to come back.
RIP the kinetic art pasta exhibit. Went to LACMA just in time to see it before it was removed. All the staff is extremely helpful, and guides are very knowledgeable. One I met in the Indian Art exhibit was sooo funny! Thank you for an amazing trip!

A wonderful day for a beautiful day. LACMA and its grounds has something for all ages. Kids can play and explore. Adults can take classes, relax and have a drink. Jazz nights are fun and great for date nights.

It's LACMA. Go. No matter what day you go, you'll discover interesting and incredible art. I went with my Mom on a Monday and although LACMA is going through some major changes and construction, we found some incredible exhibits. My favorites were Metropolis II and An Experiment in Light. Just go.

The 3rd floor is pretty good. Nice collection and such. The entire 2nd floor should be placed in it's own building and burned yo the ground. The 3d exibit was fun but kind of gimmiky.

Probably some of the best/well informed staff and volunteers at any museum I've ever been in! Their passion for their work is really refreshing and makes it a bit more interesting! They offer free tours, it's usually listed on the piece of paper they give you when you buy your ticket! Last time I went the line was insanely long, so we ended up buying our tickets online while there and just picking them up right away in the will call line - saved us a solid 30 minutes if not more. They also have two box offices, one on each side of the museum (the one by the Brea Tar Pits entrance is usually a lot emptier).

LACMA is one of the many museums in Los Angeles that offers its citizens so many different artistic offerings. Los Angeles is the premier city with California for arts and entertainment and LACMA displays the vibrant museum scene throughout Los Angeles.

A must see

Do not go! The permanent collection is not exhibited until LACMA builds their new $650 million home, which will be completed in early 2024, if it's not delayed further. So all those famous works of art that you think you'll see? Not on display!
Of course, they will charge you a $25 entrance fee without telling you that important fact. Why? Because they know most won't then go. All they're showing is some very mediocre temporary exhibitions. And if you want to see the famous Urban Light sculpture of antique street lamps, that is right in front of the museum and free to all.
So, unless you want to give charity to LACMA, do not go inside the museum. Not worth your time or money.

This place is a huge scam as of this writing. More than half the museum is closed and they charge full price and don't tell you. You are somehow expected to pick up a tiny piece of paper no one tells you about which shows what's closed. But this paper is at the ticket booth of all places. Don't go here until they're back to normal.
