I have stayed at the La Mansion many times, either for business or on family vacations and every experience is wonderful. This time was especially nice and everything was in tip top order, as always. I always enjoy staying at the La Mansion and all the staff is absolutely outstanding.

Thanks again!

Cute hotel, right on the river/great location. Comfortable rooms and beds, but could use a bit of refreshing. Nice staff. There s a self-parking lot across the street for $10 (hotel valet is $38), which is awesome!

We would have given it four stars had the cleaning staff not left a dirty wash cloth hanging on the shower head from a previous guest. Gross.

The hotel was very nice, clean, and well placed on the Riverwalk. The breakfast buffet was the most wonderful and diverse we had ever experienced. However, it was the staff who made the stay a memorable experience. The front desk staff made us feel so welcome, and anyone we came into contact with went over and above to be helpful and friendly. Our experience was wonderful!

I had been wanting to stay at this historic, Spanish colonial styled, Boutique Hotel since I was in high school and we finally did on our anniversary!

Location: La Mansion Hotel is located on the northern end of the San Antonio River Walk, which is where most of the local river walk attractions are centrally located, which is the better end! This hotel is right on the river. The downstairs restaurant opens up to the patio overlooking the San Antonio River Walk. Great place to people watch, get the day started and start your way down the river!
Service: The service was above par from nearly everyone we ran into at this hotel. Our baggage handler even set us up with a treat for when we got back from our event we had the night of our arrival! Everyone was exceptional except one of the two ladies that was checking us in at the front desk. Other than that person that must of simply have had a bad day, our stay went super.
Rooms: The rooms are authentic and cozy and the exposed brick work and exposed ceiling beams were a nice touch! Beds and pillow were very comfortable and fluffy. almost didn't wanna get up the next day :D
I certainly would and very likely will go back to stay at this prime locations again!

I wouldn t recommend this hotel. Majority of the amenities listed are either not open or on the other side of the river in a separate hotel. The rooms are comfy and clean, but small. I also didn t like how accessible getting into the hotel is to anyone walking on the river walk - keycard access is only required during certain hours when it should be required at all times - definitely a safety concern.

Overall, a good experience (comfortable bed/pillows), quiet, nice pool area/amenity. Most staff helpful, some exceptional. Quick to fix any problem (my AC went out on day 2, and they moved we to a new room right away). Some upgrades needed (better lighting!!) but understand one will be underway within 12 months. Private entrance to the Riverwalk.

Rooms never ready on time, housekeepers ask for money, if you leave something of value behind you probably won't see it again. They run out of toilet paper, coffee, and shampoo because management forgets to re-order supplies very poor management on the part of the housekeeping department

The room was great other than the TV losing its signal every few minutes. The halls and elevator were very hot and smelled a bit musky. The biggest issue I saw was the amount of homeless people around the hotel, not in it, but when you walk out the door they're there.

I was the host for a meeting of Electrical Contractors from across the country the catering department was excellent to work with and plan our meeting. The staff was there for any of our needs and were the friendliest. If I host another meeting it will be here again.

The hotel was decent but the spa across the river walk really bummed me out as I spent a lot of money and orders a bunch of candles that we're all sent to my damaged. I called to get assistance and the phone numbers listed on their site don't work. The hotel manager at the Omni said they would have the spa manager call me in 15 minutes when she was arriving at 10am thismonronh, no dice. Nobody called me back to get my issue resolved.

Beautiful historic hotel right in the middle of the Riverwalk action. The hotel's ambiance added to our vacation in San Antonio. Most of the people who worked at the Omni were helpful and extremely friendly.

The stay overnight was great for the most part. Our room had a mechanical issue for cooling the room and had to get it serviced in the middle of the night. Breakfast the next morning was amazing. Overall a great stay and experience.

I stayed there on April 1st 2014 till april 2nd. I absolutely loved the hotel. It was so beautiful. I loved sitting on the balcony and the city life is great. The only thing i didn't like was that all the doors in the hotel room only had one side unlocked. You cant fully open the balcony, or the tv stand to make your coffee. We had a little problem lady at the front desk. She didn't want to change our room for a better view. They had a lot of rooms available on the river side. We saw on expedia. She eventually changed it for us but she had a lot of attitude about it. The stay was great though. The bed was amazing and the room came equipped with everything! We also had the breakfast and it was made in a great time and was so delicious. I hate eggs but they had the best eggs ive ever had without me making them. All in all, I loved the hotel, very beautiful, and didnt want to leave.

I will start by saying we LOVE Omni hotels. We stay at the Omni San Diego as often as we can. We have always had a great experience there, never any problems. However, I cannot say the same about Omni La Mansion del Rio.

Pros: Clean rooms, friendly and helpful valet attendants, easy access to the River walk.

Cons: Front desk clerks borderline rude, suspicious billing, deceitful wording when asked specific questions.

Upon checkout I went over the bill carefully due to the issue we had after checking in. They double charged us for two souvenir margarita glasses. So instead of the two we bought, they charged us for four. When I said it was definitely a mistake, the clerk was very unapologetic. Almost like he thought I was lying. Needless to say we will not give them our business in the future and we advise others to stay elsewhere.

The location on the river walk was nice. We didn't really like the set up of the room, as there are no windows except for the door with a curtain. So our room was really on the darker side and had a moldy type odor which comes with that type of environment. The room was large and comfortable, and the bed was comfortable as well. The staff was nice, but we really didn't have much interaction with them. The morning beverage service for Omni Select members was very nice, the coffee and juice was very good. We didn't pay for the river view rooms, perhaps they would have been better.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. The rooms were very nice. The back of the hotel is right on the riverwalk. There were complimentary drinks in the morning (juice/coffee). I will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Hotel was overall nice. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to lodge at the famous Omni Hotel.
Pros: Friendly staff; hotel packages available -(which include spa credits, etc); hotel pool and bar available onsite; refrigerator and microwave amenities.

Cons: Valet parking is the main option which is $40/day or you can park across the street at a parking garage for $10/ per each time you drive in and out the parking lot; not all rooms that offer balconies have a clear view.

I originally was not impressed with our first room bc it was an upgraded to see the river walk for an additional $50. When we got to the room the view was obstructed by a large tree (see pic); they moved us to a better room after my husband brought it to the front desk clerk attention.

Truthfully you are paying for the name brand Omni and location on the river walk because there was no wow factor to staying there. The rooms looked like modern day hotel rooms. We enjoyed our stay and slept very comfortably during the night and was able to enjoy the cool breeze on the balcony before turning in.

Stayed for a weekend at a discounted rate. I couldn't imagine paying their full asking price per night, I just don't think it's worth it. it took over a month to get our deposit back because... well... nobody could really answer that. It was debited from our account and we were told it would just be put back, but after a while when we called to inquire as to why it never showed up, we were told they were mailing a check but no one could tell us why. I did like that it's right on the river walk and the service was decent except the 30+ min wait for valet but that could have just been the time of year we visited. Overall average hotel, great location.

Beautiful hotel worth every penny. The rooms are top notch and could not ask for a better staff who take great pride in doing their best. I saw some reviews saying there are hidden costs like valet parking... Really? This should be expected, it's not a hidden cost. Great hotel, no complaints!

Rooms had character and were clean. Staff were friendly. Bar was really nice, although the drinks menu was out of date. WiFi was not easily accessible or free. Parking wasn't free. Overall it was a good experience - definitely worth the stay if you get a good deal on Priceline, etc.

Front deak service was top notch. Valet pricing was steep at $39. Room quality is a 3 out of 5. Dated technology in the room..light switches, lamps and A/C heating set up. Bath tub faucet was leaking the entire night and there was hairs in the tub when we checked into the room..very disgusting. Breakfast was phenomenal, again great staff and variety of good tasting foods.

We enjoyed our ten year anniversary here. Beautiful balcony. I only wish it wasn't shared. Otherwise our stay was perfect. Right on the boardwalk so easy access in both directions to attractions. The Alamo is above the boardwalk. Tons of dining and shops. My only wish is that the city banned smoking on the boardwalk. We are frequent visitors and there are constantly visitors from around the world who come to see the sights. Very romantic place.

Not Recommend We arrived rather late and checked in around 8pm the lady wasn't pleasent. She had the "I don't give a s*it attitude. (She wasn't rude, but wasn't nice either) didn't say have a nice stay or anything. Just handed us our keys and told us where to go. Our room was on the first floor (151) and the keyed entrance door was propped open during the day. From a security standpoint, this is terrible. It's also incredibly hot in the hallways (likely due to propping open the door). The room itself was okay. I have a medical device in order to sleep that must be plugged in. Closest plug in was on the far side wall. Good thing I brought an extension cord just in case. Otherwise I'd have slept in a chair... Be warned, if you are on the first level facing the street, you'll have cars zooming by or people honking late at night or early in the morning. It would have been nice to have a sign in the hallway near the elevator that says something like (please be curtious to out guests by using reduced voices The chair for the desk does not fit under the desk, so it sticks out and its easy to run into, it also makes it difficult to sit at the table and eat or do work comfortably. The shower head in the bathroom was loose (as in the caulking had come undone). Any accessories in the in the room had price tags on them, which is crazy annotikg for a $200+/day room shouldn't have. There was a fully stocked fridge and snack try with a price list, ranging from $4 milk duds to $9 Texas Prailene. Don't expect to fit anything in the fridge. There's no room. There is a safe, but we didn't use it. There was a coffee machine (Keurig), we also didn't use it for fear of being charged for using it. Starbucks it one block over. The lobby and all other hallways seemed clean, very clean. The only issue I noticed (another reviewer mentioned it too) is there is black mold on the inside of the bathroom vent. The vent itself was clean, but a screw was loose on my vent and allowed me to look in. WiFi is $9.95 per day for "3MB Service" (free for reward members) not sure if they mean 3MB or 3Mb... If it's 3MB, then I'm guessing that means it's a 3MB cap? Have fun with $10/3MB... that's about 30 text emails... Yes, I'm being technical. Yes it matters to me. Yes, it annoys me that's incorrectly displayed. (3Mb is speed of data. 3MB is data capacity or limit). In the room there is no mention of checkout times (not in the binder or any signage) you'll have to call the front desk. Which when I did, I kept getting a busy signal. I walked out the wallway (you have to walk outside across the valet pickup area to get to the lobby) and into the lobby to ask the man at the desk. This man was very nice and accommodating (wish I remembered his name) I also asked where to get ice as there was no indication in the room or hallway where the Ice machine was located. He told me where it was and asked if I had the bucket, that he would fill it up at the bar if I did. This interaction is the only reason I did not give this 0 stars (if I could). Parking is $39/night at the hotel. There is a parking garage right across the way that is $9 for 3+ hours (or overnight stay). Parking between 5pm & 2am is free. Nearly $10/day for parking in my opinion is pretty good, considering it's double or triple in ATX. If you have a tall car, (6.5+ feet you probably won't be able to park in the garage across the street. Just FYI...)

Not a bad hotel, just a bit overpriced. I stayed at the Omni in Fort Worth, TX, and that was a easily a top-tier experience. Overall the decor, atmosphere, and overall experience of the Omni La Mansion del Rio just didn't seem up to par with my past experiences. I'll still stay at Omni hotels elsewhere, but if I'm heading back to the Riverwalk, I'll probably find some place less expensive.

Overall pleasant stay, this hotel has good access to the Riverwalk, the Iron Cactus across the way is Delicious. We were not happy with their mattress quality. Woke up every morning with aching backs. I slept very restless. The hotel has a good ambience, the room we stayed in was very compact but clean and pleasant, the balcony view of the Riverwalk was wonderful. Mattress quality is important to us, so we will choose a different hotel to try next time we are in the area, but had a very pleasant experience overall. For us the mattress was too hard so if that is your bag you will love it!

I was a guest on the weekend of 11/16 and construction was terrible. Workers start early as 7am and seem like they dragged everything they had. The desk should of notified us of the construction when we checked in. We notified the front desk and they just apologized for the inconvenience and said that the workers shouldnt start til 9am.

It was like being in a movie.
We drove up the Doorman greeted us with a warm"Welcome to San Antonio".
He unloaded our luggage for us and arranged to have it sent to the room. They valet parked our car.
The lady at the front desk was so nice, her name was Jaquelin.
The room was beautiful with a view of the river walk.
We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, it was amazing!
We will be sure to visit again soon.

I recently left some items in the safe in my room after attending a conference. The great security team at the Omni did not have my contact information but they were able to identify which conference I was a part of and reached out to the planner. They were able to reach out to me directly and get my things back to me at no charge to me. I asked if I could take on the cost of shipping. They noted that it was their service duty to make sure they took care of all their guests at the highest level possible. I will be making every effort to stay here anytime I head to San Antonio at any point in the future. Thanks Omni staff!

Beautiful. The hallway to our room was outside, so kind of hot. Old hotel that has a long past so no a/c in a lot of the building. We are celebrating our anniversary and there was a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries when we got back. AND I'm a breast feeding mother, they sent up a mini fridge so I can keep my milk cold until I get home. Wonderful staff. So thoughtful

Traditional hotel with access to the riverwalk. When I booked, I was not aware there was a $42/day parking fee, Good thing there was an option to park across the street for $10. The rooms are pricey, same price as the other hotels around the area that are nicer. Fell short of a mansion room. The fixtures didn t match, and the rooms were outdated. I didn t get to try the pool. Location was good. There was a Walgreens next to us and we were able to walk to the mall like 5 blocks east.

The hotel was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The valets were very helpful and offered recommendations. The location is perfect considering all of the restaurants on the Riverwalk and the theaters near-by. I highly recommend the Omni and we will be back for sure.
