Did some research online, decided to snorkel here instead of booking an excursion through the cruise line. Great snorkeling on its own merits, even better with the outrageous value for the price of renting a locker. If we weren't sun-averse we would have stayed all day. This will definitely be our go-to spot whenever we're in Grand Cayman. Next time we will probably rent dive gear, too.

Climb down a short ladder and you are ON the reef. No boat ride needed. Park your car. Put on your gear and you can be in the water in 10 minutes.

Rental or purchase equipment if needed but you can bring your own. No fees to enter the water. I tipped the staff for use of the fresh water rinse after the snorkel visit. They are friendly and helpful to all newbies and veterans alike. (It was my first visit there and didn t know what to expect..so I just asked-how does this work?). Lol

Good food upstairs overlooking the bay.

The lady working seemed irritated that we showed up to dive at 2:30. She basically threw equipment at us and never asked sizes or taking time to ensure a good fit. As we were gearing up she went back inside and sat back in her chair to read the book we must of interrupted on our arrival. No help gearing up or ungearing then....charged us $15 extra for not handling gear appropriately. The Dive Shop in Caymen are much more helpful and concerned about your safety and informing you of dive experiences. Eden Rock needs to find someone that understands customer service better than the short blond chic that was working on 10-9 st 2:30. Disappointed!

This was a great experience. We just became certified and I have to admit, I was a little nervous doing this dive unguided. The owner was very nice and helped us with everything. Also another bonus- it was cheaper than most guides. I think we spent a total of $100 US for the rentals (2) and (4) tanks.

We did some snorkeling here. I don't remember the price, but it wasn't bad. Great location, though! The water was extremely clear, and there were tons of giant fish swimming around right near the shore. I guess they thought the humans had food or something.

This was our favourite snorkeling spot. We visited it last after run point and cemetery beach. It has a bit of everything, both deep and shallower ends, nice clear water, healthy corals and schools of fish. You can park and use their private access even if you bring your own snorkeling gear. Be nice and don t forget to leave them a tip!

Best place to go and snorkle. You get to swim with the Tarpon and see alot of marine life. The corals and the reef is amazing and filled with life. Nice big snapper, tarpon, angel fish and a ton more. That was the best time I had snorkling in a long time and I will be back again. The owner was born and rasied in the area and the son is there now also.

We went snorkeling here in November. The center is just a short walk from the cruise port which is nice. The reefs were absolutely beautiful. The only negative thing was the rude blonde girl at the front, this was my first time snorkeling and she was not very helpful on instructions. I did not know you are not supposed to walk in the fins and a nice diving instructor informed me how dangerous it is that I could slip. I also did not know how to inflate the life vests which I was also not shown how. I then had a leaky mask which I had come back out of the water to request a new one to which the blonde girl seemed frustrated to give me a new one and just piled them on the table and walked away.

With 2 Eden Rock and Devils Grotto just off shore this dive shop is perfectly placed for an easy shore dive. Monday-Tuesday are usually best when Cruise lines are not in, Otherwise it can be crowded and noisy (from Cruise ship engines)

Me and my wife had a great time here. It was only a 10 minute walk from the cruise port. She was able to snorkle while I was able to dive. She was able to see some of the largest fish she has ever seen ( tarpon, barracuda, and a nurse shark). The swim throughs at Devils Grotto were great to dive. They rent all the snorkel and scuba gear on site and their are good restaurants close by to grab lunch. We had a great time!

Very beautiful reefs here. We took a guide through Devil's Grotto - I highly recommend doing that so you can make your way through all the swim throughs and caves without having to search by yourself (can be hard to find)! Beautiful marine life and a nice easy dive. Eden's rock is beautiful and easy to navigate. We loved this place so much we are going back for a second round this morning!

Nice people and easy to deal with. I messaged them from the cruise ship and arranged two dives from 9am. I was late because of the tenders but it was no problem, they put me on the 11am dives. Two nice shore dives with loads to see. I would recommend using them.

Love the snorkeling around the area. Wonderful amount of fish. I would definitely recommend eden rock. The thing that really is appalling about the Cayman islands is that they are the only place in the world that harvests sea turtles as food.

If you want to bring your own snorkeling gear they just point out they have a tip jar. You can also rent any gear you do not have, handy for when the waves are a bit choppy as you can rent just the snorkle jacket for a few bucks. Great quantity and variety of fish just a short walk from the ship docks. There are lockers available for your goods as well.

Wouldn't go back. Dive is good but female MD was not at all helpful verging on rude when setting up equipment and I was not the only one who thought so. OK on dive although since I was only diver on my own would have appreciated a buddy. Were problems with 2 different regulators...not mine.

Arrived with a cruise ship and wanted to go diving. The service force in the diveshop was very annoyed. All DM were absent. Unfortunately, I did not have my padi ID. Theoretically, I could have gone diving with another group but unfortunately the lady was not able to check my ID card at padi online. She was so annoyed that she was alone, that she lost the customer focus. You realize that they do not need it. Too bad.

called last minute, put my daughter and I on tour w/ another guy. wasn't sure I needed a guide, but was amazing. leeAnn brought us thru swim thrus (caves), devils grotto, and amazing coral foundations. excellent visibility, great scenary, and nice variety (tarpon, huge lobster, and the typical tropical fish of the carribean).

no sea turtles - but I'm sure they are around as sea life was plentiful.

dive shop had lockers for our stuff, all eqpt, and were very helpful.
we walked over from cruise port, did our dive and back on board w/in 3 hrs. best/cheapest/nicest shop I've been too. (daughter did some hook ups wrong and no one complained or berated her - they taught her the right way).

hope to be back - could do that dive 100 times - swim thrus were not just openings, but long caverns, tall structures - and all within swim from shore and less than 50'. excellent for snorkelers too (someone in the snorkel group said they saw turtle... we didn't on our dive)

45min, $70 with guide! best diving value ever for all eqpt.

thanks LeeAnn.

Great SCUBA site! Devil's Grotto was an easy walk out dive with lots of reef to check out and cool swim throughs. We saw TONS of fish as well as a huge urchin and a sting ray. Divers right before us saw several squid but we didn't find any..maybe next time. Reasonably priced too!

This was THE BEST experience of my life! The workers at the time, were wonderful! They made me feel safe, led us on many beautiful dives, under watchful guidance. They gave us tips, reminders, encouragement, and Patience! To scuba, isn't heaven in earth. It is heaven under the sea. I thought I would be scared, and I was, briefly. But once you get familiar and see the amazement of another world. I have never been in such awe!

We rented snorkel gear for the day and it was very reasonably priced. We planned on going to a different beach to go snorkeling, but we ended up staying here the whole day because the snorkeling was quite good. We saw rays, a turtle, and hundreds of fish. The coral is bare in some areas, but stunning if you follow the "path" that they recommend. Definitely worth a shot!

Great dive always! Female staff could be more courteous, extremely rude couldn't take a minute to hand me toilet paper for the bathroom then yelled at next person who told her it was out. Man is always helpful telling where best sites are.

One of the BEST shore dives in the Cayman Islands!...

One of the BEST shore dives in the Cayman Islands! Walk right off the ironshore and after only a short swim you will find yourself at two of the world s best shallow reefs, Eden Rock and Devil s Grotto, ideal for Scuba diving and snorkeling with amazing coral, fish, turtle and other sea life.

Tip from Eden Rock: Every summer, millions of silversides fill underwater tunnels with such abundance that immediately takes your breath away. It s mesmerizing to watch the shoal move in unison to avoid predators. The tunnels, along with the sun rays, tarpon and silversides present a truly unique underwater experience.

Buy your own mask! If you take day snorkeling trips better masks will be provided by your hosts. Even after trying on and fitting masks, they leaked, and customer service was horrible. The underweight blond girl only have excuses and attitude when we tried to exchange for better masks. We paid $126 USD for 3 days of seeing nothing. At least the fins worked well as we were constantly treading water trying to adjust cheap, leaking masks. We bought our own equipment and enjoyed the rest of our trip.

Awesome spot to get 2 easy shore dives in. Great staff and guides (recommended for first time). Easy entry and great swim throughs and coral formations with lots of sea life at both Devil's Grotto and Eden Rock. Not too deep - so long dives are the norm. A must see spot before the proposed cruise ship pier potentialy ruins it all if it does go forward (I hate cruise ships!).

Came to the island with my girlfriend to do her underwater dives to be certified. Mario was amazing and did a great job! Even allowed me to tag along to see the sites! Amazing wildlife, especially one very hungry turtle!

A goid place for snorkeling. We just went there and asked for a place to snorkel and it is exactly there. You can get a locker for 5 bugs and there is a shower and a small changing room. The staff was very friendly. We have spent some really great hours there on Cayman Island.

Just stopped by for some quick snorkling. We paid $5 US to rent a locker. The water access was really easy via a ladder. You don't need water shoes or anything on your feet. The water itself was somewhat brown due to the waves kicking up silt, but we could easily see a variety of fan coral and some scattered fish and sea urchins. We mostly saw blue tangs, butterfly fish, and grunts, although we also found a Triggerfish and a Peacock Flounder.

Great shop with very helpful staff. My wife and I brought our own snorkeling gear and stopped in only to rent a locker and use their ladder. When my personal mask broke, I didn't want to leave my wife waiting and rented one from the shop quickly. They were kind enough to waive the rental fee when I purchased a new mask afterwards.

For snorkeling or a shore dive, the site's incredible. The reef is large enough that you barely notice other snorkelers or divers even when several are in the water. Visibility was iffy around the time we visited Eden Rock, but this site was still beautiful. From a snorkeler's perspective, the relief and variety of fish were amazing. The divers looked to be enjoying themselves very much as well.

Bottom line is that Eden Rock Diving Center is right up on some incredible reef, and the shop makes seeing it easy and takes care of its customers.

Very nice place for snorkeling. We saw a ton, even close to shore (a dozen cuttlefish not 60' offshore). Some Tarpin, too. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. A good time was had by all in our party.
