A REAL REVIEW: Apparently this facility is run by a group of accountants who only see the bottom line and have no ability to see the long term damage done by putting guests in outdated rooms. We booked an expensive villa but upon arrival with my wife and kids we were sent to a dark, outdated, musty room with no view and stained carpets. So I called the front desk and we were moved to another villa - a little bigger and better but definitely not worth what we paid. It was another outdated room, a poorly maintained kitchen with a microwave oven missing the top grill, furniture that looked like it was picked up at a garage sale, and stained couch pillows. I can t comment on the regular rooms because I haven t seen one, only the villa type with kitchen.
This was summer of 2017 and I didn t write the review at that time because I have never posted a negative review (you can check my Google reviews, only 5 and all positive) and I like the resort and wanted to see if any remodeling would be done for our next trip. So we re in CA for a few weeks this summer (2018) and I figured I d give it another shot. I checked the website and called and was informed that some rooms had in fact been redesigned . Good thing I went there before booking. They would not show me any of the rooms so I pushed for a more detailed explanation of the upgrades and found out that redesigned does not mean new, remodeled, or upgraded. It simply means they put new furniture in some of the rooms. That s it. The kitchens and baths are still old. I left and booked a villa at a nearby resort.
I will say the staff was very good in trying to make us happy but there is nothing they can do about the accommodations when the rooms are not well maintained and look like they re about 10 to 15 years past due for a makeover. It s really a shame because the resort grounds are beautiful and there s a lot to do for the entire family, but it s 2018 and the hospitality industry has changed and people who stay at luxury resorts expect new, bright, clean rooms, with high-end bathrooms. If that s what you re expecting you will be very disappointed. If you don t care what the room looks like and you re only concerned about the other amenities at the resort then this is a great place to stay.

Comfortable beds, clean accommodations, friendly staff, and plenty of on site amenities for adults as well as kids.

For a resort of this level, I would've expected a certain level of amenities such as water bottles in the room. Some of the cabinetry in my room was very sloppily done.

Attended a conference here, and the staff is amazing. The water slide is quality, and the ambiance is wonderful. 10/10, would love to visit again!

It s dated, some of the staff isn t very professional. They re nice, but not well trained. The spa is ok, but very loud because of the staff. Overall I still enjoyed it, but wouldn t rank near the top in other major cities.

The grounds are very nice the rooms are very spacious the time it takes to get check in when they tell you your room is going to be ready soon Shouldn't take 3 hours . Very dissatisfied with that

Hotel was OK. Kind of inconvenient layout. The water in the shower had two settings, ice cold and scalding hot.

Beautiful resort! Me and my family have been coming here for years and we've always had a great time! The layout is open and mainly outdoors, making for a comfortable and easygoing walk between shops and restaurants. The various shops are pricey, but have great clothing and items. The restaurants have great food and are at a good variety. The pools can get crowded, but are otherwise nice. There are cabanas that can be rented, as well as waterslides for older children and a water play area and a family pool for the younger children. There is a spa that has been widely praised. The golf courses are fun to play on as well. All around, this resort is a great choice for a relaxing time!

Nice rooms. The staff is very helpful. Family friendly. Our kids enjoyed the pools. We aren't huge golfers, but we enjoyed the driving range and the views. We won our stay at a fundraiser raffle, so I can't comment on the price and value.

Love love love this resort! Something for everyone. Check-in not the greatest. Pricing is high, but a vacation for sure for the entire family.

The resort looked great. I played golf on the Legends course. It played like a championship course.

We recently stayed here, when we stopped in at 2 and asked if there was any way to check in early we were told there were no rooms ready. They took my number and said they would call as soon as one came available. At 4:15 we showed up and waited in line (over 10 people deep), when it was finally our turn we were told that there was no room available, It was 4:30PM. I asked them why they told me check in starts at 4, I said it is after 4, they said that housekeeping was made aware that we were there but the room was not ready. At this point I was frustrated, we had been traveling all day and just wanted to get into our room. I asked if there was anything else available and was told there was nothing. Multiple people were having to wait for rooms after the 4PM check in time. This is unacceptable,.

It's a beautiful Resort amazing property and Garden grounds. My wife loved the resort spa and ayurvedic treatments at Chopra center. Tiny dissappointment with the room with toilet having running water, room service forgot to put floor mats one day and insects in room. Good for family resort with everything to do for everyone.

Ate at a professional event at an outdoor plaza. Food was buffet style and decent considering it was a buffet. Service was excellent. Outdoor setting was nice.

I played golf at the course near the resort and it was beautiful.

Went to visit a colleague staying overnight. Ate at the Vue for breakfast. Serene setting and decent food. Would recommend

This place is amazing. The greens on the course were perfect. Also, the staff was very helpful. Especially Jack Manning and Gavin Parker. Those guys treated us like family. We had a great time and will be back very soon.

Beautiful campus. Went to a meeting there and found the conference area to be clean and quiet. Would love to stay here. Saw a a gorgeous golf course here.

This place is beautiful.

I wasn't impressed with the body massage, but the facial was excellent.

The lunch wasn't tasty either.

We had a lettuce wraps, with chicken, the chicken was so dry I couldn't eat mine, it was bad...I like to eat and this was very disappointing.

The appetizer - hummus with veggies was delicious.

I had a mojito and that was amazing, the desserts we took home and they were amazing as well.

We sat in the outside hot tub, then took a shower, the shampoo and other products were very nice.

I would return, but not for a massage I requested a deep massage it did not meet the standards I am accustomed to.

The facial I will do again it was excellent.

I choose this facility because it was my sister's birthday she sent me a list of three local spas, she stated Omni had a reputation of being the number 1 place. My sister deserves the best, she enjoyed herself so I am happy with that.

I will try another Spas before I choose to come back to Omni I spent $700 for two massages, two facials and two lunches, paid extra for drinks and dessert.

I enjoyed my time with my sister, however I feel the value did not represent the money spent.

Great hotel. Fireworks were fantastic. Rooms were clean.

When arriving I was very impressed with the campus and layout of the resort. Upon checking in their system was down and took about 15 to 20 Minutes to check in. They took my card and made copies of it to expedite the issue

Beautiful property. Our suite needed updating. Burn mark on the carpet and smelled musty.

Went to golf and had a super awesome time there with some friends. Would most definitely recommened this beautiful resort to others!

We stopped by for a late, light meal and loved the experience. We ate at Vue, aptly named for its golf course and hills views. Although it was dark, we enjoyed the wise open space and the lights in the hills. Our server was delightful and we had a nice chat. We both enjoyed our meals, which had a creative twist. We'll be back, for sure.

We were out here for a company Christmas party in one of the meeting rooms. The venue was really nice. Staff and food was awesome. Had a great time.

I was the DJ for a wedding at this resort recently. It s a large and beautiful venue. The scenery of the golf course and the mountains are really nice. The resort is kept up very well. Definitely high end. As a vendor it s challenging because the ballrooms aren t too close to the loading dock, so give yourself some extra time to setup. Luckily I did because you never know with new places you haven t been to before. Plus traffic getting there is usually heavy. But I would recommend the venue if you can afford it. It is beautiful.

Very old and needs renovation. The room is very close to the highway and thus very noisy. The distance from the lobby is huge for walking and there are not enough golf cars taxis. There is an issue with the water flow that is changing from cold to extremely hot.
Service is GREAT, lots of parking. Food is high quality. Coffee shop with reasonable prices

We had a great time in Omni. Romantic couple massage there is a must.

Sprawling hotel complex. Nice enough place but not really my cup of tea. Has some nice pools and golf courses.

Although we enjoyed our day here, the facilities are in need of repair so I have to lower the rating. The staff was pretty good. My facialist was professional and friendly. She was not too pushy to buy products. The facial experience was not as peaceful as I would have liked it and it seemed she changed products on my face very quickly. I'm not sure they had time to penetrate. The lunch was very tasty and priced well. Not a bad experience but I don't think it loved up to la costa resort quality.

We got the royal treatment and the kids love the amenities . Rooms are starting to show signs of wear and tear, and slightly outdated.

Rooms are nice and customer service seems ok. I wonder why higher end resorts seem to offer less as customers pay more. I get better WiFi at airports unless I want to pay for a more premium service. It s a joke. The coffee shop didn t know what a London fog was or green tea latte. The $12 breakfast burrito was obviously catered from a food service vendor and was not fresh or tasty. Sad but I would rather drive a mile down the road to get much better food than at a resort. Kids liked the pool and water slide. Our suite is not anywhere near the hub for food, shopping and activities. Seems the basic layout was not thought out well and after two of our four day stay, I can already say that the walk to and from is getting very old. Even Disney hotel was more convenient and I thought that was a lot of walking! Businesses that cater to high income clients actually have less competition with other resorts and tend to offer less amenities that are popular among middle and upper class families. Just something to consider for those of us that would like to believe you get what you pay for.

Valet can get backed up, pool is really nice, waterslide for kids, two golf courses, tennis courts. Several dining options.

So much fun with kids. The polls are a blast. Don't eat here. Just drive around the corner off property. So much cheaper.

This property tries SO hard to be a great property but it falls short EVERYTIME..We called 5 different properties we wanted a 2 bedroom suite not a connecting room..They assured me it was....$720 dollars a night ...Hmmm so outdated all their money goes into property not the rooms...their from the 80s. Food at VUE not to bad but so over priced...everything is..... We made coffee cream was spoiled...they offered us a cheese plate showed up 2 days later...the tv in suite was discolored....At the sports bar ordered the chicken club Asked if it was a grilled breast YES said the waiter it came out shredded WHY????And toast was burnt...Do yourself a favor dont stay here unless your there just for the property...

Our check in went smooth and willing to help with taking to our room. Found out the resort is quite large and we're on the other side of the resort. They delivered us via golf cart to the building. Beautiful place, pools and buildings. Many stores and restaurants. (Very Expensive) When walking into the room we found the bathroom pretty well uncleaned and garbage all over the floor. Water and towel from the shower. Called and they came out to clean it up - this again at 11 pm at night for check in so wasn't really in the mood to dealing with this.
Next day we left to go to the grocery store to get some drinks and such, came back to the toiled had flooded over randomly - we didn't use it before we left so were very confused but cleaned it up ourselves.
Went to go to the pool next day and key cards wouldn't work - took them got reprogrammed - then wife went to go back to room - couldn't get in. Had to go back to the main office and get reprogrammed. (again, long walk due to large resort). Guy at front desk looked shocked and put out by us having any issues.
Considering the issues we've experienced and the cost we've had to pay, you'd expect a little more support or help. More than a guy asking, "is there anything you'd like us to do about it?" Feeling bad as it's my wife's birthday trip and really hasn't gone very well for her.
Was planning on coming back for a golf trip but now considering not.

I love this property it is as wonderful as depicted on line and website. So worth visiting. If you're in the vicinity.
