We ate here pretty much whenever we could. This, for me, is the model gastropub--classic pub, good imaginative food, great staff, cask conditioned ale & cider, thoughtful beer selection, and not too full of itself.

A cozy place to spend away some hours with good food, expertly paired with great beer, tasting some gin or whiskey, or even attending one of their monthly get togethers, like the book club.

Irish Pub with a wide range of craft beers, ciders and whiskeys. They also offer meals. We tried the "scotch egg" (boiled egg lined with sausage meat and batter), the mussels and clams in butter and garlic sauce, the cod, and for dessert the chocolate mousse. The food well presented. Staff attentive and.cordial, although maybe a little slow. The prices are normal for a city like Dublin.

I've been coming here for a number of years and the food has definitely taken a turn for the worse. The starter options are still quite good but the mains leave something to be desired. At a table of 6 almost everyone had issues with orders being wrong, or the food being generally unpalatable.
Considering the prices have crept up it is a shame the food quality has gone in the opposite direction.
What I can't fault is the friendliness of the staff and the sizable beer and whiskey selection available.
Certainly good for a light bite ot a few drinks but not worth visiitng for a full meal.

Fresh, healthy (as healthy as pub fare gets anyways), cozy pub. Head to to back of the bar counter to get seated in the restaurant area for dinner, or enjoy the bar area up front. Lots of kids in the front section when we were there.

Old style pub serving food. Good atmosphere but very noisy.
Food was different but tasty though several dishes were not available. Had pork collar which was tender and overall dish was tasty. Hubbie had fish and chips-standard fare. Some dishes cleared by staff before everyone was finished eating which I personally find annoying. Thought it was trying hard to be too trendy but in light of the overall gentrification of the area I expect this meets the customer demands of the new community population.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been !!! Great atmosphere, fast service and excellent food! Down-to-earth dishes reinterpreted, extremely delicious (!), With every meal there is a beer recommendation. The service was excellent: fast, polite and attentive. I can only recommend this restaurant !!

Great pub and great atmosphere. Excellent pub grub and a huge selection of beers and wines. The staff is also fantastic. Ask them to help you choose what kinda beer you fancy drinking. Don't forget to have a look around Stoneybatter while you're at it. And if you wanna burn the alcohol in your system, walk to Phoenix park, it's only 10 mns away.

Japers. Pretty expensive grub here. Very few main courses under 19.95 and up to 30 at the top end for a steak. Starters ~ 10 or thereabouts. Had a starter and a main course here with my wife. Food was nice but certainly overpriced for what it was. Surroundings fairly dark and tired looking also. I know this place has a reputation for good food but I would expect the overall experience to be far better for the prices charged.

Have been to Mulligans in the past to where I felt it was a great place to eat and enjoy a night out. Unfortunately last night we went there to be extremely disappointed with overpriced food and drink with poor service. Food was not as described on menus as many items on plates were either different or not present at all. I had the tiniest portion ever Venison Pie (about the size of a mince pie) with very small accompanying mash and carrots. 22.50 my wife had Smoked Ham Kassler which also came out with very small amounts of veg which was different to menu description. The Ham was the toughest Ham I have ever had and it was the strangest texture too. Also 22.50.

One of our servers seemed lost and totally unsure (maybe the first day ?) The other server was great humour and extremely pleasant. Overall though service was very slow and one drink ordered never actually came. After approx 20 minutes we asked was the drink coming and they realised it never had been ordered so we cancelled it and took the bill instead as it was time to leave (9 pm) even though our plan was to stay there for the night.

Grossly overpriced and Mulligans seems to have lost its way in the new trendyness that is the Stoneybatter New Community. You are better than this Mulligans but sorry to say I wont be back any time soon to part with my hard earned money for poor quality overpriced food.

L. Mulligan's remains one of the best pubs in Dublin. With an extensive range of craft beer and spirits and a superb menu it's the kind of place you can go to for one drink or for a whole day. The staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Well worth a visit!

Great fish and chips, cosy atmosphere and the coffee (French press only) comes with a cute little set up with a sand timer and glass of milk etc. Lots of drink options and suggestions for pairing with your food too. Vegan options available for those that need it. Easy to get to in middle of stoneybatter.

Bland expensive food. Both of us found the food tasteless. I had the vegi haggis and my sister had the chicken. Only one vegetarian option which hasn't changed in over a year. The food was cold coming out. The wait staff were apologetic but by the time they came and asked how the food was it was too late. The staff were lovely but the service was poor. I used to love Mulligan's but I wouldn't go back.

A nice Irish pub with surprisingly good food, drinks and very friendly service. The Scotch Egg is not to be missed. They recommend beers and whiskeys to go with each dish, a nice touch.

This used to be one of my favourite places to come to in Dublin, but the last time was very disappointing. I'm not sure if there's new management but the menu was completely different.

I ordered the lamb, and was disappointed to find it was bland and dry. The feedback on the other dishes in at the table was similar. We had to wait about an hour for my food, and the servers weren't very attentive.

We chose to eat dinner here two evenings because it was so good. Fish and chips are very light, trout is amazing, chicken Kiev was enjoyed. My BIL had the scotch eggs twice they were that good. Highly recommend. No live music but otherwise great atmosphere

This place is it for local beer in Dublin. They have cask on tap at all times. The selection of local Irish craft beers is second to none.
Food? Well come hungry for the best foodie style grub you can have. Service is amazing with everyone being so helpful and talkative. All I have to say is go to the merchant and check the up and coming area where the Jameson distillery is for lodging.
