Warm and friendly space with delicious food. Brisk...
Warm and friendly space with delicious food. Brisket is a tough, lean cut, but just want I wanted. Nut Roast was amazingly delicious.

Very good Irish restaurant close to the city centre, very good the food, very typical and characteristic the place, I didn't like the service at all, despite the good food quality. I don't know if I will come back again in the store, it's not in my Irish hot list!!!
Myself and my daughters went for birthday lunch on Saturday - the food was simply wonderful - everything - but can I say the Black Pudding starter ... if you get a chance order it - staff most helpful and accommodating - going to try and have our Christmas Party there its a great place
Fantastic food and amazing selection of beers. The front part is a pub with a limited menu; the back: a gastropub. It gets busy so if you want to eat in the back, you'll want a reservation.
Below average service, the "great atmosphere" I can not confirm, the back room (actual restaurant room) is very uncomfortable. Food very expensive. 2 stars as large selection of beer and whiskey.
huge beer selection (mostly bottles and cans) and lots of whisky. prices were a bit high but still cheaper than closer to city center
Food was good, drinks menu is impressive. Was underwhelmed
Great selection of food and drink. It's a very hip place.
The price is a bit steap for what is on offer, the food is amazing but I would expect more on my plate for the price I was paying. I got the steak and it was very fatty not at all what I would have expected from a place with such a good reputation.
Very good dish. Good atmosphere the only little problem is still waiting about 35min but we were brought toast traditional bread to apologize a very kind gesture from them.
The fish and ships is just to die for.
Just a word: excellent
We went there twice:
Restaurant and fine food with very good beers but more than 30 minutes waiting between each dish! The Blueberry Crumble is definitely worth the detour.
The Pub side with my Live music is to do! It's way better than the touristy corners of Temple Bar ..
The staff is so lovely!
Huge selection of craftbeers, nice food and a good whisk(e)y menu.
This was a fantastic find. It looks like your typical "old mans pub" inside and out. The food was divine. Friendly staff, great service cozy atmosphere. Craft beers. A diamond in the rough. We had a joyful memorable evening here, will definitely be back again.
Fantastic food .desserts to die for. Highly recommend
Great spot loved the authenticity of the place good service well cooked food definitely worth a visit
Great food and drinks.. What more could you ask for.. Worth checking out!
Great food. Brilliant selection of ever changing beers. One of my favourite spots
Really top-class gastropub in Dublin's Stoneybatter. Can't recommend this place highly enough if you like well-cooked delicious food made with top-quality ingredients, many locally sourced, in a cosy and friendly environment.
Highlights are the scotch egg and prize-winning black pudding starters, and the wild boar burger. Specials available on Sundays - today I had a wild boar shoulder of pork with roasted root vegetables and garlic and a stuffing accompanied with cabbage and beetroot. My tastebuds thought I'd died and gone to heaven.
Food is only half of the experience, of course. Mulligans also offers a wide range of real quality craft beers on keg, cask and bottle, and the food menu comes with excellent pairing recommendations. There is also a huge range of quality whisk(e)ys, gin, and wine available. Tastings are available (need to be booked in advance).
Service is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
Furniture seems to be improving - it used to be the case that most chairs were second-hand and uncomfortable, but most now seem to be properly upholstered!
If you really feel like splashing out (or are visiting Dublin), the owners have an apartment over the pub available to rent - see the pubs website or AirBnB for details.
I m a big fan of pub meals and although Dublin has always had pub meals on offer, there s now the rise of the gastro pub. One of the best one you can try in the city is called L. Mulligan Grocer. Excellent food and a huge selection of craft beers to try too. It might be wise to make a booking for dinner here.
Service v good, food very good, could be a lot warmer/cosy & ambience needs improvement especially at the back tables a fire or something
The bar is good but the prices for food are insane.
Best food and beer without ruining yourself in Dublin!
The service was absolutely fantastic and the bartender was knowledgeable on their selection. I will definitely be stopping back here the next time I'm in Ireland!
Top notch food, beer and whiskey. Particularly impressive international craft beer selection. And a heavenly vegetarian scotch egg. Also a scotch egg available for the traditionalists.
Wonderful pub restaurant staff very knowledgeable. Well worth a visit.
Excellent food, nice atmosphere, good selection of beers.
The food is a tiny bit on the pricey side but totally worth it.
The list of beers is almost too long...
Good food, and a great beer selection. Definitely book in advance. There was a bit of a wait for the food but it was worth it.
Great selection of beers and class food- a touch on the expensive side for what you get (especially on the food). But very good!
Excellent selection of beers with possibly the best traditional pub food in Dublin. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.
Great food, cosy place, great drinks. Not the cheapest though and would love if it was open for lunch on weekdays.
Great food, lovely surroundings very helpful staff.
Wonderful pub, great beer and fantastic food. Atmosphere that can't be faked.
Table of 4 tonight was to be 6, arrived at 9, was to be 8.30 but nothing was a problem. Starter, main and dessert all world class. Waiting staff informative and extremely friendly. Chef from Atlanta worth her place in any venue. All in all a superb experience.
Food is a bit pricey but good. But seriously are they too cool for Christmas decorations??
Not recommended for Christmas buzz!!
Lovely little gem of a bar! Good selection on offer with knowledge bar folk
Great bit of food washed down with a glass or two of the craft beer. Great service, lovely staff.
Great place and great selection of beers but a bit expensive
The vegetarian Scotch eggs are awesome - so nice to be able to eat something like that without the bacon. When we were there, they also brought us our bill in an old book.
Awesome gastropub! The atmosphere is exactly what you want from this kind of place, and the service was very friendly and warm. The food was delicious - especially the bacon jam. Their beer list is also a highlight. Overall really enjoyed our meal.
Had a takeaway yesterday - really lovely, the best one we had since lockdown started. Fabulous food,
just like eating in the restaurant. Delighted that Mulligan's started doing takeaway - highly recommend trying it
Great venison pie but overrated scotch egg. I never had scotch egg before honestly and was expecting a flavor bomb. It was kinda let down but I enjoyed my venison pie!
Very good craft beer and whiskey selection. Food wise, scotch egg, black pudding and goat cheese are all great starter options to share.
The space is welcoming at the bar as well as the restaurant area.
