I love this place! Amazing scotch eggs and black pudding. Whenever I m in Dublin I make a point of taking people here because everything is so good. Have never had a bad experience here, and will definitely keep coming back. Thanks!
Great food. Scotch eggs are a must try. Decent beer menu but only criticism is that the newer interesting beers are always just gone.. Highly recommend however. Great whiskey range.

Principle simpa with beers proposed according to its menu. Original menu that makes you want, like the lamb burger and goat cheese, but good realization no more.
The restaurant room is completely away from the bar, in a very quiet room without music. We were not able to enjoy the live concert which is a shame.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was disappointing, go there rather for the pub.

Scotch eggs are DIVINE! Amazing food menu, a gem in this side of the city. Great selection of beers too.
Definitely worth every penny for me. Large selection of whiskey and beer, the food was really very good! Too expensive is rather relative, what is cheap in Dublin? Chicken Kiev, highly recommended, very tender and super delicious. Nearby parking spaces are free on the roadside.

The food we ordered was delicious. It was probably one of the best meals I had in a restaurant in months. Maybe years. I wish I could still be eating. And for my birthday I want the recipe for the beetroot slaw! Pretty please?
It was a little pricier (but we also just spent time in Prague which was pretty cheap...) but we were so full that we couldn't fit in any dessert.
I wish I would live closer and could be a regular. And I wish I would drink alcohol and try al their beer recommendations.

Surprisingly good food in a restaurant tucked at the back of the bar. Scotch Egg was delicious, as was the Boar burger. Only let down was the chowder, but not enough to spoli the rest of the dinner.

I had not a reservation but first person told me was not a problem. 75% of the tables empty but, at 6.30pm, they didnt find a table for 1 person till 9pm and they dont serve dinner (just aperizers) on the counter (completely empty).

A Grand Place!!, We stopped here for lunch on our weekend trip to Dublin and we weren't disappointed, it's nothing special to look at on the outside or the inside but this place is special it has a certain charm, is very welcoming and the beer, wine and bar snacks and the little touches were very special. The bar staff were all great and we just had a really good time here drinking a few unusual beers and really enjoying the food which was cooked so well, the scotch egg was so good and even the freshly baked bread made a lasting impression !! we will definitely be returning to this place when we're next in Dublin.
We were visiting from the States and made reservations here for our Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone throughly enjoyed their meals and desserts, and the service was great. We had the mushrooms, lamb, and chicken entrees. The desserts were fantastic too!
Went there yesterday without a reservation. They were really helpful and managed to squeeze us in despite being very busy on a Friday evening. Food was absolutely amazing and staff was great, will definitely come back.

We walked in off the street without a booking and were pleasantly surprised by the comfy ambient hipster-ish decor and menu. Great food and fantastic service. The beer selection was tops and the soup of the day was delish!
We loved everything about this place. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. For example, I asked if the waitress could recommend an Irish gin and she brought me a delicious example! Nothing was too much trouble. The decor is great and the music was fab too. It was pretty busy when we left, always a good sign. The food was INCREDIBLE. I don't eat meat so I had a veggie scotch egg and then a celeriac dish. Both were amazing. My friend is a committed meat eater and ordered the meat scotch egg bit decided that mine was even better than his! The flavours in the main meal showed that the chef has an excellent palate. The beetroot was absolutely delicious. In fact, every item on the plate tasted fantastic. The place had a great atmosphere. So delighted we found this gem on our short trip over from England. Thank you for a fantastic lunch.

We had very high hopes for this pub. Unfortunately our experience was not up to that. The starters were good but our main courses did not deliver.
Such a good gastro pub in a retro/ hipster area of the city! Well worth a visit and I would highly recommend it, it is one of my favorites.
If your in the area, I would recommend a pint of Guinness in the cobblestone, don t be deterred by the exterior it is a gem.
Service was poor. There was a mix up with our order and some food was very late coming whereas others sat in front of their food watching it go cold. When I did have the ham hock it was tough and salty. I didn t eat it. Very disappointing.

I visited this place last week with my friends. This pub is within walking distance of the Generator Hostel where we were staying.
The menu was written on paper which was put inside books so you had to flip through the bood to read the menu. Original but a bit annoying if you ask me. I ordered the Pork Belly which was absolutely amazing. The meat was very tender and tasty. The vegetables were very good and complemented the meat excellently although there were a bit parsimonious with the vegetables if you asked me.
I would definitely recommend this place if you want good food and I will come back here again.
Skip it. It was about 92 degrees in the dining room and the drinks came after the food. Service wasn t much better with us having to wave down our server 15 minutes after we finished our meal. I suppose if the heat was turned down, the fish and chips weren t soggy, and the server made somewhat of an effort I could bump this review up to a 4. As it were, I write based on my own experience.

Great pub! We got the haddock and a huge pot of moules and frites and everything was delicious. We also ordered dessert but it hadn't come out in a while--when we asked about it, they gave it to us for free! The seasonal crumble with spiced ice cream was amazing, as was the salted caramel sundae.

Very interesting menu, well executed. Good portion sizes, neither too small not too large. Great presentation and delicious flavour combinations in everything we ordered. Great and extensive beer menu too. Well worth the trip.
Most recent of many visits, lovely food as always but the service was very inefficient (but friendly) ages to take order, one main course arrived far sooner than the others, drinks took far too long to arrive. Having said that they made a different dessert for my fellow diner who misread the menu and expected ice cream not cream in her desset.. but overall it Was a bit disappointing as everything used to be spot on.
The food here is wonderful! Excellent kitchen. They also have a good collection of Whiskey.

Great spot to have a drink with friends or with the love of your life. They have a great selection of beers or spirits, no cocktails though. It is a nice warm pub, with friendly staff. All in all, it is quite cozy.

Itbwas slightly overcrowded and although cant blame the effort the staff made the service dropped and they made a few mistakes... they too accountability and made loads of effort to save the night. Food was great and there were celebrities from a film release next door. We got a free drink.served by humble staff ...such as William Jack.Poulter (bad cop in Detroit)

Food was OK, the 3 different dishes we tasted all tasted the same, it was in the run up to Christmas but still there ate better offerings for the same price available. Service was friendly but a little lacking.
