I'm happy I have the LL Bean Boots they are waterproof including at the holes for the laces and the treads keep you safe from slipping there're incredibly well made. LL Bean of Freeport Maine is a family store founded a century ago that remains in the family. The stock is privately held. I'm mentioning this because I just bought a pair of LL Bean Boots after a wait list of a year because their boots are the most popular boots today. College students won't buy any other boots creating a market where LL Bean has 120,000 back ordered boots with a wait list that lasts until June. No one is canceling their orders because there's not another boot like it the world. I found mine though a special in person and Internet search from customer service. Customer Service is excellent creating customer loyalty making you want to order again. LL Bean is absolutely amazing :-)

Knowledgeable staff helped me pick out binoculars. No pressure... great experience.

I'd been avoiding llbean for many years, and speed in because it was literally the only place open (24 hours! ) and I needed an outfit for a funeral. I was very , pleasantly surprised by the number of things that I liked! It wasn't all preppy "boat people" clothing. Or clothing for people in their 60s. The color pallet was fresh. And the price range was doable.

I first came to LL Bean in the early 80s when I believe it was one store. Now it seems to be more like 4 stores and a lot different than it was 30+ years ago.

Kids have been to several LL bean Stores in other states but never to the flagship store. They really liked it.

I suggest hitting the outlet across the street from the main store first before spending full price

Great store has all kinds of different products amazing return policy always clean and neat staff is very knowledgeable and helpful I try to buy most of my camping and hunting gear from them because of the lifetime return policy

Small place wit limited stock. I was disappointed with the staff who didn t seem to be aware of the LLBean items that interested me.

The flagship store in Freeport us a must see during the holiday season. The display of lights and activities are excellent for families to spend a day of fun and shopping.

Large store campus. Huge clothing selection with some real top of the line stuff.

Only place to go..if u want great clothing that lasts..

This is L. L. Bean's mothership. Open 24/7 and each major department has their own separate store. Don't forget to get a picture by the boot!

Always a favorite to shop at. Quality goods, though also expensive. Wish they had kept their old warranty .

Always have liked LL Bean... except the prices are to high on some items.

So we did a thing.... We made the pilgrimage, we took the famous tourist picture with the boot. We walked the aisles for hours. We left with our minds blown and our wallets smaller. Highly recommend the trip. You will enjoy!

After only ever shopping online, finally visiting an LLBean store felt like a pilgrimage. All the staff is super friendly. I particularly appreciate that most of the employees seemed to be older - even some grandmothers. There is so much on offer, it's hard to leave!

Because of covid guidelines only have one set of registers open so was a line to check out and the store is partitioned by gates.

I was floored that this was open all night, we stopped up on the long drive from PA at 530AM and got every thing from boots to fishing licences.

This company continues to provide a quality product with the service to back up their good reputation.

This is a great store with great merchandise. They need to hire more employees though. You have to stalk the shoe salesmen and the line to purchase was too long.

Great place but not what it once was. Used to be able to find deals. Now it seems it us tailored towards a different crowd then the average Maine hunter/outdoorsman. The quality is still there but the prices are extraordinary.

I always thought of L.L.Bean as an outdoor recreation store. And I've been going here all my life. But every time I go there it seems like it's just more clothes. I did bring my father in-laws 20 year old broken multi tool in and they honored the life time garuntee by giving me a new one.

If you are a fan of the brand, it's a great place to visit. I said visit instead of stop because you have to make a day of it. It the the L.L. Bean campus several full size retail stores all in a very hilly area. The Linda Bean restaurant has fantastic Haddock and pies of all varieties. Bring self control it you'll reenact the story Pooh in in the tree eating hunny! Warning though, handicap access is very limited. They do have wheelchairs that can be checked out if you are early enough. There is only one restroom with ramps on the main campus. If you do not open a scooter that can climb a 10 plus degree grade or Schwarzenegger arms to propel a wheelchair, just order online.

Yes, everything here is expensive, but what you're really buying is the lifetime guarantee. The backpack or boots or whatever you're considering will either last the rest of your life of you'll get a new replacement. I had the same backpack for ten years and when I replaced it, it wasn't even broken, I just needed something bigger. Take care of your LL Beans stuff and it will take care of you!

Always love going here. Such a beautiful store. The employees are always on their A-game and always kind and willing to help. A real joy during the holidays and during the concert series in the summer. A must stop on any trip to the north.

It has been my outfitter of choice for decades, most of my clothes, footwear, and many of our household accessories have come from Bean. Enjoyable to visit, even with the summer crowds in Freeport, but open 24 hours a day, which helps.

Definitely a go to place if you're visiting the coast of Southern Maine. The place is always clean the layout is great period more than outdoor wear and outdoor gear. Quality and variety is very good. Staff is helpful. Nearby shopping and dining is very good as well

Erin, the wonderful woman who checked me out today, was very kind. We are always treated well there, and even with long lines, we get through quickly!

Great time we had with our whole Troop 3 boy scouts the staff were awesome they let the boys shot archery if going by you need to stop and have fun!!

I was heading to Baxter State Park and needed a couple things, so I decided to make a stop here. Of course they had what I needed, their selection of outdoor gear is impressive. I ended up wandering around for a bit, browsing...glad I did, they have an expansive array of items. I should note they have more than one building, I only went into the " retail" building. I also saw a " fishing and hunting" building, and a " home" building. LL Bean is synonymous with Maine, so if you're anywhere near this place...check it out!

Always clean and well stocked. Sales people are very helpful. Prices are a bit high.

Next time you visit, take a look at the doors, and notice no locks. Always open and willing to help. Great destination store to get quality gear. Always worth a small drive North to see what has been added to their flagship store.

Just for future reference I went there because I get gifts from my family and they shop at L.L.Bean and I went to return a bunch of shirts I had that no longer fit me and they had some chips and stuff in it but I told him the reason why I want to return them is because I have a digesting disease called Crohn's disease and I lost a lot of weight and I'm not able to wear the clothing so I would like to just exchange it so I could get something that I can wear and they said that that's not a Justified problem and it's not their fault that the clothes don't fit me so they gave me no type of store credit and turn me away I think that was wrong because I I seen multiple people exchange clothing because of the size and because of whatever it was with me they Judge Me by looking at me and probably thought I was trying to get over on them or something and wouldn't return my clothes for store credit and it's supposed to be 100% satisfaction guaranteed and I was not satisfied

The epitomy of Maine. If you're from out of the state, or from the state and never been, checking out Bean's is a must. They have some awesome, unique items, as well as some proprietary stuff you can only find there, such as bean boots. Plus the holiday decorations and props they have are one of a kind, and great to check out.

All staff are friendly and helpful. Had to return a pair of boots due to waterproofing issues; no questions asked and walked out with a new pair as quickly as I was ready.

They have everything you need clothing, camping, and home.

Then is nothing to compare the LL Bean experience to! Very professional and helpful staff. Great quality for forever selections of everything camping to clothing. Fun stuff for kids. And bean boots are the best.

More than an outlet store! This location is truly an experience. A great place for a family to spend an afternoon. Even the restaurant was great!
