If you want quality and are willing to pay extra for that quality like myself, LL Bean is a great choice. They have outstanding service and stand behind their products. They recently had to change their return policy which I fully understand why. People were taking advantage of their generous return policy. Unfortunately they had no choice. The only thing that they changed that I am disappointed in is the fact that they used to offer free shipping on any order you placed online. Now, you have to spend at least $50.00 in order to get free shipping. This change has made me shop the competition more. For example, I recently bought 2 new winter jackets from Columbia which also makes an excellent product. But before, I never shopped other companies because LL Bean had free shipping and I knew if I had any problems, I could just drive up to Freeport to exchange. But all their recent policy changes made me look elsewhere. I found that companies like Columbia and The North Face offer as good quality if not better in some cases for lower prices or equal prices. I still shop LL Bean, but they are not my automatic go to for clothing and outdoor accessories like they once we're. I shop their competitors now before I buy.
