Kuredu Island Resort & Spa Reviews

Top holiday, everything was fine. We would be well received and the rest of the vacation was like a dream every day.

Very chilled out place, all the staff are lovely, island is big and can explore all parts, never got bored while I was there

Here is my preliminary feedback.

The island is very tidy and clean everywhere, many employees are busy keeping the island clean. The ambience throughout is really breathtaking, beautiful palm beaches and really chic hotel room huts / villas or whatever you like to call it. The water is wonderfully clear and shimmers blue to turquoise, the variety of fish in the water is stunning and ranges from many colorful small and large fish to turtles, small sharks and stingrays. There are several bars on the island and a couple of restaurants too and now things are starting to get complicated. In places I am still overwhelmed with the regulations where I can go anywhere as an All Inclusive Plus guest in a Beach Bungalow (more on that later). There are a few a 'la carte restaurants on the island but they cost. We are assigned to a restaurant that regularly has something to eat in the morning, at noon and in the evening. The food selection is in the form of a buffet and offers enough variety of different and delicious dishes. You order the drinks with your meal from the waiter and now there is another catch. After every meal I have to confirm what I have drunk. E.g. 1x coke + 1x beer = 0 a signature name and room number underneath. I don't understand what the whole thing should be for, for me it's an additional effort that really annoys me in places. I have booked all inclusive but have to confirm an invoice for 0 each time. There are enough different drinks to choose from for me, but there are also premium drinks that are chargeable, including various cocktails and brands of alcohol. As all ink. Plus guest I get 50% on this, a common cocktail costs about 10USD so I pay 5USD for it. As mentioned before, I am currently still overwhelmed at which bars I can get something to drink, in which pools I can swim and which loungers I can use. Personally, the loungers in front of our beach bungalow are enough for me, but the rule system on the island is too overwhelming for me, as a vacationer I don't want to deal with such things all the time, especially since it is a hotel. What also unsettled me is a waiver at check-in that we should sign, this was given to us in English. Advice from a member of staff was that this is for snorkeling. It remains a queasy feeling because we signed something that we did not understand correctly. From our side maybe a bit too naive to simply sign, in future I will have such things checked in advance by a lawyer. Let's hope that everything turns out well and nothing bad happens to us . The island has a few shops where bathing accessories are sold, a diving school that offers various courses and excursions and rents out equipment, a small island doctor's practice and a water sports rental shop where you can get almost everything from canoes to stand up paddling and jet skiing. There is also a golf course, soccer, tennis, badminton, beach volleyball court and a gym. There is a small playground for children and I can rent a bike for a day for $ 5 .

Summa sumarum we are very satisfied, price performance is really top, nice and friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, delicious varied food and there are various entertainment programs.

Mini paradise found...!
And don't wait to get engaged, married, divorced, for that promotion, or whatever else to go to Kuredu. Life is short and you don't need a reason for experiencing this mini paradise. It will be a surreal experience; we were in constant awe of the nature, the ocean, the fish and corals, and simply being unplugged in the middle of the magical Indian Ocean. Highly recommend the beach villas; waking up on your own beach front everyday is something else. And sitting on the porch listening to the ocean waves while looking at the blanket of stars... just sears into your brain and being. This is not a place for the restless and the faint-hearted about being in constant contact with rest of the world. Must be a beach and ocean lover; newsflash! there is nothing else around (thank God!). We did not dive but fellow travelers raved about it.The sandbars that emerge with tides are another wonder and playground. We snorkeled right off of our villa everyday. Resort is well maintained, very clean, service is discrete. The O Spa is fantastic; loved our massages and facials. Very serene and the therapists are well trained pros. Food is very good, great variety.. and they bring in snacks in late afternoon by the villas. Staff is well trained, multi-lingual, and helpful. The entertainment and bar life is light. They do have some shows, live music nights etc. but luckily it is tempered. If you want to party your butt off you go to Mykonos or Ibiza, this is not the place for that. Words can't do justice to the beauty of nature, the colors of water, the sunsets, ... head out and experience it for yourself!

The best service I have ever experienced on vacation. Everything is just right here. The food is repeated only after 14 days. Every day a different motto. The staff are very accommodating. The room is cleaned twice a day. With all-inclusive the complete minibar is included. In the O-Beachvilla in the north of the island we even had a wine fridge with 6 bottles, also included in the all inclusive.

We were there for 10 days in September 2018, and it was just gorgeous.
Starting with the flight in the seaplane, which was totally exciting and fascinating. Then the greeting on the island, the briefing, the friendliness and helpfulness of all employees.
The room was fantastic right in front of the lagoon, we had a koama beach villa with jacuzzi. Nicely decorated and spacious. Above all clean and the room service very hard-working and thorough.
Many possibilities for excursions
The food was always delicious and fresh
Our waitress, Qasim, the best!
A lot to discover in the water and on land.
All in all. A really wonderful vacation. We will come again.!

The staff is super friendly and competent, the food tastes incredibly delicious and is varied and everything is very well cared for.

We were on Kuredo a year ago and wanted to get to know another island .... Kuredo, we will be back next year. You are unbeatable. .... I'm looking forward to next year

Great place but lacks hospitality

The island was great. Rooms were nice but slightly small (beach bungalows)

There were a few things that pissed me and my wife though. Keep in mind that we have vacationed in Cancun, mexico and we have certain expectations about resorts :

1) my wife is a vegetarian and the number of items that she could have could be counted in 1 hand. This however was somewhat rectified after we spoke to the friendly head chef
2) my wife got hurt in her leg preventing her from walking efficiently. So I had to ask for a taxi service (complimentary) for transportation back and forth the restaurant. This was outside their policy (understandably so) but they could make exception. However the bad experience I had was that I had to explain and re explain every single time how we fall under the exception, sometimes to the same person!! Couldn't they have made the effort to note down and not ask in the future? I was there for 6 nights and she got hurt on the second day. This was a frustrating experience.
3) we had to miss a meal due to some timing mishap in the info sheet given to us. When asked about alternative arrangements after lots of arguing was told by the supervisor that we would be offered pizzas in the babuna bar. We go there and we were asked to pay for the tiny pizza. I didn't want to pay as the supervisor assured is so. I stood my ground in principle and it took them 1hour 15 minutes to agree to do good for their mishap. And another 30 mins for the pizza. Seriously?!
Similar thing happened in my Cancun trip where we missed dinner purely out if our laziness. We got a free room service with assorted sandwiches. Now that's hospitality.
4) I had borrowed snorkelling kit (which wasn't free BTW) and returned it within 24 hours the next day. They still choose to charge me rent for 2 days as they count calendar days. Had been to mexico and the equipment was free. Worst of all the receptionist was giving me a hard time for the gear being sandy. Because of which I had to go around myself and drop it off in the water tub myself (apparently he can't get his hands dirty)
5) there is supposed to be an island tour which we were never told of and so we didn't plan for it. We came to know about it 3 days before our departure. When I enquired about it apparently we missed the boat. So I had an unpleasant experience requesting a scaled down version of the tour. We got it but the while thing left a bad taste.

I'm certainly not returning to this place. Its expensive and not worth the money they charge. I live in the US and Cancun happens to be a very cost effective option for me. I immediately booked a trio to Cancun when I returned from this place to erase all the bad memories if you will

Awesome resort. Staff can't do enough to make your time there special.

If you want paradise.... Choose this resort. A wonderfull and beautifull vacation full of nature, sun, good food and friendly service. Hope to come back again!

Been to Kuredu twice already and booked for the next time .... you do not have to say more. Everything fits on Kuredu.

I ve been to Kuredu 14 times! And I m 15! It s basically my second home! I love it there! The food is amazing, the staff are so nice, the underwater world is mesmerising and the dive experience is very cool.

Superb Service - excellent all inclusive resort!!

Right from the traditional welcome to seeing reef sharks turtles sting rays on the house reef...this resort makes your stay memorable
This place is beautifully maintained
It has multiple options from beach villas with Jacuzzis or Sangoo water villas or private pool villas ...all with their own unique amenities.
Excellent food and impeccable service leave nothing to complain
The most beautiful part is the pretty house reef with loads of fish and a ship wreck just off the jetty.

Paradise island made even more amazing by it's wonderful staff. This is a much bigger island than the ones we have visited previously which means there is a lot more to do. However it is just as easy to do nothing here!! I would recommend the 'O' resort as I found this the most beautiful setting. Will very likely come again in the future

Hands down a great experience, the staff is super friendly, staff is super helpful and I felt as though my feelings and thoughts had been attended too. I love that the experience was so great. They do however put priority on getting that money. Once it s paid your treated like royalty.

Right now i enjoy my fifth stay on Kuredu and i'm very Happy here

Nice hotel ... best place for divers and honey moon ...

It's wonderful for white sand, clear sea and tropical trees. I like walking without shoes or sandals around the island. It's a relaxing place!!! The staff is very good, polite and helpful. Food is delicious and is different every day.

If you're a diver.. There's no other place in the Maldives better with more value for money than Kuredu

Simply the most amazing place on the planet. Price is going up every year, and the all inclusive is not worth it. You literally can't eat and drink enough to make it worth it. Trust me, I tried. Even attacked the mini bar, and didn't even come close.

Amazing!
The trip was everything we could ve wanted and the way the Resort is run is in such a way that it caters for all its customers at any time.
All the staff are so helpful and friendly and so easy to approach, the island itself is huge and has a range of activities to choose from too.
Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful island, with accommodation spread out well r ought to feel secluded. Great food options and the best diving opportunities. Took my son for his first open water course and he s never looked back!

How can you not just love such a paradise. Can't compare with other Maldivian Islands, but this was just an amazinf experince with unbelievable food and staff. YES! Would love for less bugs but don't think you can strip nature of that.

Really an amazing place. We spent 2 weeks here and loved every minute.

Not sure the all inclusive plus is worth it though, unless you like to drink all day. Even if you have a few drinks during the day you still won t get your money worth. I would suggest you keep the money and spend it on better accommodations.

We have a garden bungalow and it was very nice. We had some issues with our unit and the staff upgraded us to a beach villa. This changed our entire vacation! The villa is amazing. You wake up on the morning and look out onto the ocean.

Staff was amazing. Our daughter has food allergies and they accommodated them happily.

The Pix (on site photographers) is the only bad experience we had. And honestly is wasn t that bad, just not the same level of service as the rest of the resort! The problem is they only have 3 options for pictures and the cheapest starts at $250US. And they all include printed photos, no digital copies. We only wanted a few pictures from our free photoshoot (included with your stay) and it was incredibly difficult. We had to speak to a manager and eventually they agreed to sell us 4 digital pictures for $100US. I think they need to look at their business plan. I don t know many people who actually still want printed photos and with digital pics you can share them on social media. Free advertising!

Dive shop is fantastic but be ready to pay!

Recap - don t get all inclusive plus, spend the cash on a beach villa, Pix is frustrating to deal with, resort is a little piece of heaven on earth!

I liked it very much, the accommodation is excellent, the food is super, the reef home with huge turtles is fantastic.

Very nice beach and water . Many stingray's and baby sharks :) Many restaurant's and bars . Jacuzzi Villa very big room , clean with nice view . Can be perfect place if can have snorkeling accessories for free in room .

Loved the experience, food is great, one of a kind staffs. Filled with amusement. Defiantly I will come back to this resort.

Kuredu is a fantastic Island to visit, beautiful sandbank, clean and modern rooms, amazing staff and good food. We stayed in the Sangu water villas for 10 days on all inclusive plus and we really enjoyed it. The highlight here is absolutely the staff, always friendly, smiling, greeting and ready to answer any question or wish you have. The standout was our waiter Naax who had drinks ready before we ordered them, greeted us as if we were old friends and always took time to check in and joke around with us. I miss him already!! I've read people got confused with the all inclusive package but I speaking from the Sangu perspective it's pretty clear. Everything that's included is marked clearly in every menu. Different parts of the resort have different levels but overall it was all clear. There is plenty to do here as it's quite large but because if it's size you can always find plenty of spots in the beach to yourself. If you can I'd highly recommend the water villas, sitting on the ocean watching the marine life with a cold beer in the evening is what dreams are made of. The only minor downside is the WiFi. From a higher end hotel in the 2019 I'd expect free unlimited WiFi. You get 500mb a day for free and can buy unlimited for 15USD a day. Scrap that Kuredu and include this in the package price. It leaves a sour taste. Overall it was a 5* experience and we will be back soon. I miss Kuredu already

If you are looking for a honeymoon resort in Maldives, this is the place to be! The customer service is incredible especially at the bars and reception. Buffet food is good but not great. Stayed in one of the water villas and it was an awesome experience. All in all it was super relaxing.

What should I say, where should I start? I'm just thrilled, content, overwhelmed by the beauty, friendliness and lax attitude. The island and resort has everything you could wish for. The mixture of tranquility and activity diversity is perfect. There is really something for everyone and the food in the various stylish restaurants is very good and plentiful. There is a lot of German language understood and spoken on the islands, also in the dive center. The Dive Center is a 5 Star Padi dive center with very cool instructors and guides. Diving with the girls and boys is a lot of fun. I've just come here for the first time ... and it definitely will not be the last. From my side there is nothing to complain about.

Very nice resort. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beach villas are like living in heaven with amazing ocean view. Food and drinks are good also. We would like to come back.

Kuredu Island Resort, for me the most beautiful place in the world! Rooms were super clean, varied food, super friendly staff, the one almost every wish. Also a snorkel and diver's paradise. We will be back definitely!!

Good variety of foods to choose from their buffet. Had quite nice sand bank at the end of the island. Can't choose your seaplane time even if your flight leaves at night. They just send you away and leave you at the airport.

Was the best holiday I'll probably ever get to go on.it was perfect, truly amazing..fantastic people, food, drink. Sea life to die for. This is a place I could be stranded forever and never care it's that much of a dream..everything's expensive but that's expected..IT'S THE MALDIVES..

The most beautiful place on earth, in this resort fits everything! From friendly staff to great food, great service! In addition, the whole leisure activities can not be boring at all.

The hotel and the island are at the top. A bungalow by the sea is great.
The seabed is not top compared to other islands komandoo or embudu for example. Very nice stay.

Although our visit is already three years back, I still like to remember our honeymoon on Kuredu. The island is fantastically beautiful and offers by its size also wonderful opportunities for long beach walks :-)
We booked a jacuzzi beach bungalow and were very pleased. It feels like paradise and is very spoiled by the staff. The food was really great! :-)
There were also some excursions offered and the snorkeling trip on a sailing yacht was really great.
In the lagoon you could always discover turtles while snorkeling.
At some point we would definitely like to come back again. Thanks for the great memories :-)

If you fancy a little piece of Paradise come to Kuredu, a fantastic place the staff are so welcoming,the weather is hot & the food is fantastic. The place to be.....
