Kuredu Island Resort & Spa Reviews

Very clean, nice staff, relaxed atmosphere, food excellent

Overall spectacular, went for honeymoon and they made it special from day one.

The island as I know it is the largest resort island in the Maldives. As well as intimate locations ideal for couples it also caters for family's and those a bit more adventurous with lots of excursions and water sports.

Dining revolves around buffet style with all inclusive but there are Three a la carte restaurants on the island.

There are many room types to suit all budgets but in all honesty I would stay in one of the beach villas, facing the ocean and the water villas. The water villas being the most expensive but you can possibly mix it up to save many.

Some parts of the island are couples only and others more family oriented so worth checking before booking.

We also had a great experience at the Two spas on the island. The O Spa having views of the ocean.

For sport enthusiasts there is a mini golf course, full size football pitch, tennis courts, gym, paddle tennis and badminton.

Staff all very friendly and great service, exceptional value for a 4* resort.

My only comment for improvement would be the food. Don't get me wrong it was nice but not outstanding. However, buffet options give a lot of variety. The a la carte options are definitely a step up but then this becomes expensive, especially if already have a all inclusive package.

The diving school is great. Many dive sites, many trips and everything perfectly organized. Everything in the hotel was (almost) perfect. Unfortunately, our bungalow hasn't been cleaned for a long time.

A dream! Why can not you give 6 stars here? We were there twice and will come back.

I dream of one thing: to return there. I loved the room on the beach, the quality of the service, the friendliness of the staff, the island, the snorkeling (by booking the equipment) it was great.

Before we even set foot on Kuredu, the experience in Male airport was really positive. The TMA seaplane lounge was a real surprise. A lot of smaller, less westernised airports can leave a lot to be desired, but this one was organised to a T. The transfer was about 40 minutes, and gave rise to some of the most breath taking scenery you could ever imagine. For God s sake, make sure you have your camera in your hand luggage for this.

We spent 4 nights here. I'd certainly recommend the water villas - great to see the fishes go by. The rooms are very nice - clean and comfortable. Food is superb - especailly the desserts. Not great for those with limited will-power!! Service was also excellent. We spent most of our time at the Sangu end - but did use the other bars and the pool at the O end of the island - again, all excellent.

Our one slight frustration is the different categories of all inclusive , 'half board', 'full board' etc. They are all different. so just be careful about taking the package.

We arrived 1 day late as we missed international connection. The resort was very good in handling us. Specially Arthur (Guest service manager) was really helpful. We had about 2-3 hours to kill at Male (due to late international flight), he helped us out in going to right place at Male.

This resort has more variety in terms of bars, etc - and because its bigger, you can get a bit more exercise in walking around it. All in all, our Maldivian adventure is something we will never forget, truly great memories. It is not the most expensive island, not by a distance, but without question you get superb value for money. It is naturally one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, and now, when I am back and slogging it out in my office chair, it is a privilege to be able to slip back to those tranquil memories.

Finally, you really do not need any footwear. Oh, and a torch might help you out at night time

A great place to relax and enjoy with loved ones. Friendly staff. Mouth watering food. Amazing beach and lagoon near by Sangu Restraunt.

A dream vacation. Staff of note 10, excellent food especially curry, good drink, big island where you have to see in daily walks. Every evening there is a theme, beautiful music and good mood. If you want a perfect stay with sunny days and no rain, I recommend taking between January and March even if the price is double make all the money. All Inclusive Bungalow is all you need. Everything is well organized, the staff takes care of you from the beginning until boarding the seaplane. We thank the staff and especially our waiter Fulhu, Shaiu, the boy who took care of the room and not least Hilary who was patient with us and made sure everything was fine.

Staff is great . The place is nearly perfect and the food is good enough. But...no coral reef reachable from shore. I would come back and stay in Komandu which has an amazing reef close to shore. Btw, the free internet is limited to pathetic 100mb per day....sux!
Overall , excellent bang for the bucks!

The beach is beautiful and soft, with high food diversity and a good massage. Although I booked an all-inclusive package, it was a pity that almost none of the activities took place. The whole island is full of beautiful scenery, and you can spend a whole day taking pictures. The four days spent on this island are one of the best memories of my life.

Absolute paradise. Likely the single best value offering in the entirety of the Maldives as well. I don't have a single negative thing to say about any aspect of the experience. All the staff went above and beyond and seemed genuinely happy to serve. I was regularly greeted by name by staff I had only had a few previous interactions with - amazing to me that they're able to do this at a resort with around 700 guests. A resort of this size (3rd in the Maldives as of writing) is terrific because there's so much to do and see compared to smaller ones. Plenty of restaurants, bars, areas to explore and excursions offered. I felt the all inclusive was great value. The drinks you have access to are very good and each bar has its own theme. I came as a solo traveler which made me an extremely small minority - although I did meet 2-3 others who weren't in a relationship so it's possible to find others to do activities with! They go all out with the parties here. Don't miss them, they're a total blast.

The Sand Bank here is also something you have to see to believe. I hope I have the opportunity to come back here someday!

All staff is super polite and greet you with smile on their face. Great food, views, sand, corals, weather. Can't fault it in any way...!
Amazing Experience!

Super relaxed holiday. Water bungalow 520 special to experience. Staff neat and respectful. Most beautiful vacation ever. Food super. Basically everything not 1 min point. Underwater restaurant super nice experience but overly expensive.

A holiday resort that leaves nothing to be desired. 14 days of pure luxury that we will never forget and we will definitely travel to Kuredo again

Fantastic holiday.
We ate very well.
Service was great, all staff were very competent and sympathetic.
Our jacuzzi beach villa was perfect for us.
Everything was very clean and great view.
It was never boring, every night there was something.
We can only recommend.
Kuredo is just a paradise.
We will be back definitely.

Fantastic lovely island with a lot of possibilities. Friendly staff and good food. There is ample opportunity to dive, snorkel, sail or just walk around the island and explore the exciting nature.

Incredible issue with pollution in large parts of the island (plastic burned at night time starting 11 pm ending at 2 am). Large visible and burned plastic smelling cloud over island. This, as a health issue for employees and guests is fully unacceptable.
Also cleanliness on island and nature protection is poor (see pics)

Had the beginning of September 2016 for 8 days the Sulthan Villa.
The villa with its own pool is absolutely amazing.
Island sea and beach are very clean.
The staff on the island were always very friendly and helpful.
The food in the four main restaurant is very varied and was really delicious.
Especially the Sangu Restaurant at the water villas is highly recommended.
There are several recreational opportunities on the island and excursions are offered.
Going for the best and experiencing yourself will not be regrettable.

Many thanks to the Kuredu team for the nice time we will be back.

The room size is absolutely sufficient.

An earthly paradise! I've never seen a more spectacular place than this in my life! We went with my wife on our honeymoon and believe me it was an exciting vacation. Surely it is not for people who want to save money, but if you are willing to spend something more you will not regret it. An indescribable maritime flora and fauna, breathtaking excursions and many other things that do not even make it 1% of reality. The only one we can call a flaw is the absence of a varied menu. Many times the same food was repeated. Deficiency also on fish, always the same type both at lunch and at dinner and for all the 10 days we spent there. But surely it is one of those places that you have to visit at least once in your life.

On the whole a fantastic island. Highly recommended to escape the daily routine.

Beautiful resort in the middle of Lhaviani Atoll. Great diving center, great spa, excellent food and exclusive service. Perfect for infants thanks to the new Kids Club.

A dream place for couples and families. Lots of things to do, nice weather and super friendly staff. You won't be dissapointed.

The stay on Kuredu was really beautiful. The food is very good and varied, every day there is a new theme, which is repeated after 14 days. The cleanliness I can only say that a lot of effort and the result is great, when we asked if the Roomboy one day the room could not do, because we still had something to do in the room. Did he say no problem, whereupon we asked if he would do the morning then? He just said, no, that would not work, he had to do the room every day and would do it tonight when we go out to dinner and so it was, after the meal everything was cleaned up. If you were sick now and would be in the room all day, the room would not be cleaned. But the claim that you have to clean every day, shows me that here is very much respected on cleanliness and that is really great and affects the whole island! We have this island simply in our hearts and will be happy to come again next year or next year.

+ we really happy with our 367 garden bunglow room. Which is almost next to beach. Just we dont get beach view. But its just behind. So we really happy with our decision and place where our bunglow is.
+ They made jain cuisine also as per request.
+ small manta rays we seen without going in water and colorfull fishes also everywhere. I am sure in snorkeling and diving you can see the more real treasures of this island.
+ 2 time room service (we only take 1 time) and whole huge resort is super clean.
+ there are 100 of things they consider for our comfort and good time during our stay.

We really appreciate that all those very small things also you consider for your guest.

- After continuing request in each email since more then a week that we really don't want to miss our time when we at Kuredu, so early departure was requested as we here only for 3 days. 11 am departure was avaialble that we come to knkw later.. But we get 1 pm departure.. That too delayed by 2.15 pm. Once u reach island you come to know island time is alredy 1 hour ahead then male. So we reach by 4.15 or 4.30 pm and many things to understand and discussed, and we didnt get lunch.. At sea plane terminal they offer rice and packed cold fizzy drink only for lunch instead of buffet(in lounge they inform it will be buffet), we didnt ate properly, Kuredu people offer high tea but as we vegetarain we can have only tea coffee there so we quickly done with tea. So we were hungry till dinner. And after all this it take 5.30 pm to 6 pm reach our room. Then we start to explore... So this is how we missed our whole 1 day. From our 3 days holiday at kuredu.

It was our first time to visit this kind of resort. So it was expencive for us. But we book reading amazing views. We are happy whatever we get. But yeah we miss our 1 day and activities which we can do that day.
2 days is too less to explore this place. But we have 1 more and last day is today to spend on this paradies . And we ll have good time for sure as this place is amazing..

- some free or paid activities not daily. So if u come for 3 days you can miss so many things.. Like we missed many things as we get 2 days only. So kindly check before you spend short holiday here. If u have 6 day or more you will enjoy everything.

Wonderful 12 days, efficiently run island, very relaxing

Fantastic resort, very clean, staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Important tip: we chose one of the higher categories and that was the right decision .. The garden bungalow did not look so nice. We had a villa right on the beach all to ourselves. Small sharks swam with us, dreamlike experience.

Simply astonishing place, long journey to get here and an incredibly exciting seaplane transfer tskes you to possibly one of the most relaxing places the world has to offer. This place is a dream!

Great resort friendly people and nothing is too crazy we had a beach bungalow.

PERFECT, RELIABLE, VERY QUIET, FRIENDLY, PROMISING.

A beautiful island that guarantees relaxation and disconnection from everyday life. The entire staff was super friendly, approaching and attentive. We only enjoyed the 3 weeks here.

A well maintained island with a decent house reef for folks who love to snorkel. You get to see a few species of sharks, tortoises, free colorful fishes just a few meters into the water. The pro-divers center is an added pls with friendly staff to make your experience memorable.

Food is decent with varying options throughout the week. They fill your fridge everyday which is convenient if you just want some alone time at your Villa and the beach.

A good vacation place for family, Honeymooners, kids to visit. The seaplane ride adds to the experience.

A very beautiful island with the typical Maldivian flair. Fantastic here. However, there is a significant impact on the distribution of the Beach Villas with Jacuzzi in the Sangu area. Supposedly you can book the bookings before, if you want to get in the Sangu area. This rule is not respected. Unfortunately .

It's just a nice place where everything is right. Park-like created. With buildings in between. Beautiful bungalow of various kinds. As well as supply buildings.
The staff is nice and friendly. There is a medical station and a dive center with pressure chamber. The staff speaks partly German.
And you hardly need cash. Everything is settled up to tipping at the end. On the island you go barefoot.

Great place to go on vacation. Everything arranged well. Good food. Gwn perfect

Fairytale, exotic surroundings, friendly, always smiling employees, delicious food, many colorful programs: that is, the Garden of Eden.

You can walk all day without shoes :) Cons are everywhere, but you can ignore them. Great service and lots of funny sharks :)

My husband and I stayed at this amazing place for 10 days. I state that we have traveled the world so we have an objective perception of what quality and excellence are.
Excellent value for money, the locations are very welcoming, we stayed in a beach Villa and Water Villa, the latter was a superb experience. Falling asleep with the sound of the waves, we seemed to dream ...
We had a really good time, great food, the contact with nature is amazing. Thanks to all the staff of Kuredu Resort !!!!
