Never had their food but grabbing takeout took forever! No one picked up the phone when I arrived and I was waiting for over twenty minutes with no response. Must be understaffed because service it horrid!

Holy moly. We are connoisseurs of Chinese food, and are especially looking for places that specialize in flavors that are not Cantonese or, good forbid, "Chinese-American."

This place is hitting on all Pistons! So flavorful, so fresh And high quality ingredients. A creative menu that highlights Sichuan Specialties and delivers them beautifully.

The Kung Pao was not authentic, but was a great variation on the theme and we would say, actually was a hybrid of General Tso's chicken with Kung Pao. Put that one into the comfort food category for people with less adventurous tastes.

The wait staff were very knowledgeable and were familiar with the landscape of Chinese cuisine, and delivered excellent, attentive service. Very vigilant of people's comfort and the food came out with great timing and piping hot.

We are going to stop by this place in the future when passing through Eugene. Eugene, you are lucky to have this restaurant in your town! We live in inner Portland and there is nothing of this caliber there.

I own the restaurant next door and have never came here to eat before. I don't know what took me so long. Oh my lord. This food is incredible. My wife and I both enjoyed the chefs special green beans, the eggs drop soup and the spicy fried chicken #41. Very well prepared food, extremely nice, caring owners.

This place is amazing in every way except for the fact that when you pay separately in a group, only one person can use a card and the rest can only use cash, which is really awkward and frustrating if you don't already know this. There's no reason why they should do it this way. It's very inconvenient and puts everybody in a sour mood after filling them with such healing food. Also it seems redundant to pay for steamed white rice that should just come with your food. On a positive note, the food is absolutely amazing, full of flavor, spice and heat if you like it. The customer service is awesome. Also, the view of the mountains and the distance through the trees is quite lovely here.

The food was packed full of flavor and has a very unique flavor that was delicious. They accommodated my son with a custom flavor for his dinner. Also my son was very interested in what language the Chinese man in the cook line spoke, the man took the time to say a few words and sentences to him in Chinese and seemed very happy to do so. Good experience overall, will be back.

Best Chinese food in town even if oily and expensive. I'm giving three stars because of a slightly bad experience. I waited to get a table for 20 minutes the other evening. Just as one opened up some Chinese students entered and were seated immediately. It's bad business to think white people can never understand Chinese. I guess the hostess thought I would just assume they had a reservation but knew it was phony when she asked them in Chinese how many people they had without asking a name.... Even if its a personal friend you'd already know how many they had from their reservation.

Fortunately, the food was much better than the name. There were no grasshoppers on nor in the menu. Otherwise, definitely interesting and well prepared. The hot and sour soup was unique and excellent. I got a hell of a kick at this place.

Without a doubt, the worst customer service I ve ever received. They do not answer phones and will send you straight to voicemail if you call more than once. When we finally did get ahold of someone and placed our order, we were placed on hold numerous times throughout the process. We arrived to pick up our order and called when we were outside (due to covid, this was the instructions provided by the establishment.) After waiting for 30 minutes, they answered and brought the food outside - which was incorrect. We attempted to make multiple phone calls and were ignored. Finally - someone came out and we attempted to discuss the issue with our order and were once again very rudely ignored while also giving us the hand. We ended up ordering from another local spot that luckily gave us instant and great service. They need to work on their to go method because it s not working as-is.

I stumbled upon this unassuming strip mall restaurant which has since become a favorite. Top quality food unlike any I have had before outside of San Francisco's Chinatown, and always excellent service.

This place knocked my socks off! Best pot stickers in town hands down. (Eat your heart out Toshi's Ramen). This place serves food family style, so be prepared to order lots of plates and share with friends!

Best Chinese food I've had in the US. I lived in NE China for a year, and the food here is similar to what I ate over there. The cilantro eggplant, stir-friend pork with dried bean curd, and fish-flavored shredded pork are our favorites. We stop here every time we're in Eugene, because it's That Good.

Still great! I started going there right after he opened, and since then he has raised prices 3 times, and greatly pared down the menu. I was lucky to eat every (Chinese dish) on the original menu, but it is still the best place in town for Chinese food - any province, any region. And, no I am not Chinese or Asian - I just like good food.

Although a little pricey and always slammed on my lunch excursions, this place simply put is purely amazing eats. With a large menu to choose from, it delivers some of the most authentic Chinese that I've experienced in the Willamette valley. Flavors are full and rich with quality with a seemingly perfect balance between spice, taste, and presentation. The atmosphere feels a dash upscale yet still laid back and relaxed. The servers and staff are incredibly polite and certainly attentive. Without hesitation I give this establishment five stars. Highly recommended.

I'll start off with the bad:

I'll start off with the bad:
First, you have to pay for rice. Even for dishes that are supposed to be eaten with rice. Yeah, it's only a dollar extra, but it should come with it as most places ive been to include it with those dishes.
Second, the hot tea is $2 and its just a generic pre-packaged tea bag. I'd expect a nice loose leaf tea pot that goes around given how good the food is.

The good:
Food is great. I got two fish dishes - the steamed fish with spicy sauce, and the stir fried fish with black bean sauce. The black bean sauce was pretty good, although i didn't like how thin it was, just a little above the consistency of water. but still good. The spicy sauce is a lot better.

Very small and cozy place, despite the name serves hands down the most legit Chinese food in town. Try the pork with bamboo shoots and the Kung Fu duck. When the menu says a dish is spicy (indicated by chili peppers next to the name), it's not messing around.

The worst food I've had in many years. Cumin fish was was salted to the point of being inedible, and was overcooked, thin, and dry. Noodles and beef were bland and oily. Even the rice (which cost extra) was mushy.

Had pot stickers, hot & sour soup, and spicy beef with peanut. I'm not much for pork but the soup and beef plates were effin great. My friend thought the pot stickers were phenomenally "light &airy."

Best Chinese food in town, do you need some delicious, spicy Chinese food? there is no other choice. Although the Restruant is crowded all the time, service is still fast and friendly, quality is consistent, no argument about that. 5 stars.

Surprisingly good which came as a bit of a shock given its location. Fast service, flavorful dishes and a robust menu make Kung Fu Bistro a pleasant take out option. A bit on the spendy side but the portions make up for it. Make sure to order extra rice!

I ll start by saying that if you are not familiar with Sichuan cuisine, you might want to familiarize yourself with it before ordering food at this little gem of a restaurant. Key components are heavy use of garlic and copious amounts of peppers. Some peppers are hot, while others have a numbing effect on the palate. These dishes have very strong flavors, and are nothing like the Chinese-American dishes that Americans have grown used to. If you do know what to expect, this place is the JAM. I got the twice cooked pork, and couldn t be happier. Note: this place uses styrofoam to go containers. Not cool.

Restaurant came highly recommended so I was very excited to try it.

Completely unenjoyable experience. Mediocre food. No flavor on the fried rice. Rice was mushy. Pork was over marinated, dry, could only taste the salt. Probably wasn't cooked the day before, used for today, or quickly refried for me. Definitely not worth $15.

Waiter was extremely rude. Implied when I came in that if I didn't want to order several dishes and take them away, I shouldn't eat there. Should have walked away then.

Rushed me out despite the restaurant being almost empty, brought the check and wanted to pack my food to go while I was still eating. Never refilled my water.

I have been wanting to try this place for some time but never got a chance because I was told that it was "very authentic" and the people I tend to eat with don't want anything but "americanized" Chinese. To begin I don't know how authentic or americanized this food is but it was great. The Kung Pao was great with a ton of flavor and depth. The fired rice was maybe the best I've ever had, the full flavor of the wok was in affect and was just outstanding. The egg drop was on the bland side even for egg drop soup and the green onion pancake had almost no green onions to speak off. All and all i was very pleased and will be back soon.

Amazing food, amazing service! I lived in New York, worked in kitchens for a while, grew up loving foods from all around the world. I m a pescetarian and love Kung Fu Bistro, use to go there pre covid, and their service was excellent, especially Jack who always greeted you with a smile. The owner is super nice as well. Food is always always good, I m happy they are doing good during these hard times. I feel other restaurants can learn from them. They keep serving food, just take out and always super busy and most importantly keep it safe for them and their customers. I absolutely love the vegetarian dishes but if I ate meat I m sure I would love all dishes as well. I strongly recommend it! You should order in advance before they open and you will never regret it. Great portions, prices are reasonable. I love it!

This is the Chinese Restaurant with the worst service attitude and the worst customer service experience I have never met.
I call the phone and she tell me stop calling? Or go to another Chinese restaurant?
ARE YOU KIDDING??? What kind of the restaurant said that to customer? It's incredible, and I will never ever visit this restaurant.

I went here with my family on my birthday. My son lived in China and the woman sitting next to us had too. Both agreed that the food was authentic and the best they'd had in the U.S. I'm a vegetarian and had Ma P.o. Tofu which was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
