Kruger National Park, also known as 'the best place on earth' never disappoints
If it was possible I would have spent twelve months of every year in this incredible National Park.
We were particularly fortunate to see four of the big five during this, our last visit.

We spent a week here tent camping, spending a few nights at a backcountry trail/camp (which I would highly recommend, the armed rangers were highly knowledgeable and showed us tons of wildlife on the trail walks) and a night in an air conditioned lodge. You could spend a month here and still be seeing new things. I would also recommend going in a game drive or three.

So here it is, I wish I could give my first 6 star rating. I don't often dish out 5 stars, but this is something spectacular. In this day and age, it is often difficult to be proudly South African, but this park and all it has to offer, gives me hope. It is well worth a trip from anywhere in the world, well maintained, reasonably priced, friendly people. Lots of animals to be seen, but don't think it's a 2 hour drive. Plan for at least a whole day, but spend a few days if you can. Book a game drive with a professional company unless you have a 4x4 and know how to navigate in the park. Doing the park in a small car is not impossible, but I don't recommend it. Thank you and I will be back.

A beautiful park and easy to pace in his own car. The scenery is fabulous and the animals are numerous, even if you have to be very attentive to see them! you will leave here for sure with many unforgettable memories.

It takes at least 3 days to know half. Inside there are very good restaurants and at a good price. The animals are the best, see them so closely and in their daily chores

A year ago, We got lucky in Dec 2014 to spot a cheetah and lions as well. The place I like most is Lower Sabie, esp. the chalets facing the river. In 2013 we spent 2 nights in Crocodile River Camp when one cool afternoon we spotted a hippo grassing next to the fence. I felt like jumping out of my skin with excitement.

Animals in their natural habitat. A spectacular sight. We saw all 5 big very close and a lot of other animals. Just like lions devoured a giraffe. It is unforgettable when a lion goes straight to you and you think: It seems to be full, but what is on his mind?
