Always a good time in Kruger. This was my 4th or 5th visit and every trip is a little different which keeps me coming back again and again. The rest camps are fairly good and some have restaurants and gift shops, fuel stations and plenty of bathrooms. If you plan to go a few times a year, be sure to look into purchasing a wild card.

First, I highly recommend to go to Timbavati private reserve instead. In two hours we saw more than 1 and half day in Kruger.

Second, be ware of the guards at the exit, one tried to steal money from our hand bag. We caught him with the 100 rand bank note in his hand. That was at Malelane Gate on Wednesday 16th December, 5:30 pm

Clean and safe roads, beautiful animals, friendly people. I visited Kruger a few years ago and this year two more times. I would always recommend for animal lovers. If you dont drive in private use a guide, they will provide several interesting information and answer your questions.

The game viewing vehicles drive on the wrong side of the road and block others from viewing the animals. They also park in the middle of the road blocking vehicles from driving past.

Big 5

A great place to see many animals.

A great place to see many animals.

It's as well very touristic with all the game drives anf fancy places to stay but still beautifull to visit.

Our first visit and just gigantic.

Our first visit and just gigantic.
One surprise after another. At the turn of the year 2017/2018 we were of course on a South Africa tour in the Kruger. 4 days full of experiences.
The park is easy to drive. With a map of the park, which also contains a lot of information, you can get through easily. We were traveling with a normal car, which brought us well over the gravel roads. If you have enough time you shouldn't miss the many loops. The entrance fee for the park is around 25 per person per day. (Course 1.1.18)
From the entrance through the Kruger Gate to the journey to the Olifant Rest Camp and Lower Sabie Camp, we have already seen the so-called Big Five. These encounters were enhanced by a variety of additional animal species, including many birds.
We would visit the Kruger Park again at any time.
We learned that the state camps are better than their reputation.
In December / January the animals are out and about with their offspring.
We have only made malaria prophylaxis in the form that we have already impregnated a set of clothes (shirt, pants, stockings, cap) with No Bite at home. Smells a bit unpleasant, but packed in a sealable plastic bag, the rest of the case is spared.
Wearing the clothes is comfortable and does not give off unpleasant odors.
In Pretoria we covered ourselves with "Peacefull Sleep" spray (for space and mosquito nets) and cream in the pharmacy. The best experience.

It is a well known park of international repute. What is less obvious is that what you expect is what you get. Good sightings, friendly knowledgeable guides and food parks can make your day. Must visit.

To me this is a magical place. To observe animals in their natural habitat, to be so privileged to be just able to see them, that they show themselves to me. Because they could be just 20 meters away, hidden in the grass and you can completely miss them. We spent there three full days. Were a bit lazy and didn't get up in the mornings when viewing is best, but we still saw plenty of various animals, four out of big five as well. The roads are very good, the san parks accommodation is quite nice, the camps plentiful. Most camps (not just tents or caravans, they have well furnished bungalows) are placed by water, where animals drink. They have a small shop with all necessities, some souvenirs. They close at 7pm. Some have restaurants on site with decent food. They offer guided tours and information on sightings. You must stay in the camps during night as the gates close, around 6pm, depending on time of the year. Only one camp has got wi_fi, so if it is essential for you, get a local sim before you go into Kruger.

Kruger National Park is the largest animal reserve...

Kruger National Park is the largest animal reserve in South Africa. It covers almost 20,000 km2, is 350 km long from north to south and 60 km wide from east to west, which makes its size comparable to that of Israel or Wales.
The park is named after Paul Kruger (1825-1904), Boer statesman and president of the South African Republic of Transvaal, who was behind the creation of the Sabie Game Reserve from which it was formed. the national park in 1926.

I love to visit Krugern Park, just love seeing the animals. Unfortunately today we took a route which was all burnt, a lot of dry wood was still smouldering with the result the animals were few and far between but we did see 3 of the big5. We are going back tomorrow so I hope we will be more fortunate with the route we are going to follow to see more animals. The atmosphere is always tense but exciting cause you have no idea what awaits around the corner.

Great camp site and bathrooms are in top condition. Sleeping under the stars without a tent and waking up to all the wild sounds was a treat. Just watch out for the monkeys in the morning :)

As allways the animals.did not dissapoint however ...

As allways the animals.did not dissapoint however the camps and facilities around did. For an international destination standards in the park have dropped in the last 2 years. In some of the camps the showers had only cold water, we stayed in the Nyati guest house and had no hot water in 2 of the units room 3 & 4. Airconditioners also out dated tripping the power and the decore is old and tacky. Drain in the shower blocked, Not worth the prices charged to stay there its a ripp off. Resturants also very average in the park, no gluten free options and vegiterian options not specified at all of the Ndlovou resturants and their menues are very odd. Some of the resturants need serious attention. See my review on Letaba. Mug & Bean at Lower Sabie is about the only decent resturant in the park. The food there is good. Laundry facilities are a joke in Satara and also Skukuza only 1 washing machine in working order for the whole camp. Machines are very old and worn. Staff in general are friendly and helpfull however the camps need upgrades and maintanance to public restrooms very tacky and smelly. All in all for the prices charged for the facilites its not value for money, Kruger Park needs to do serious upgrades and improve their standards for an international venue.
