As incredible as the Bombab tree looks, scientists and biologists have calculated it 6000 years old. It's incredible right? And you knew that they have a promise made by God recorded in the Bible in Isaiah 65:22, where it promises to be a human to give him a life as long as this tree. There he says "how the days of a tree will be the days of my people."

Lower Sabie is in a very bad condition. Communal ablutions dirty and toilets not flushing properly. Towels have a bad smell. Camp electricity trips various times during day and night. This was once the best place to visit in the Kruger. Pathetic!!!

Wonderful experience. What a blessing to have seen so many diverse species in one or two days. Remember to also look out for birds and smaller creatures like meerkats, they are just as special as the Big 5. Oh and the magnificent trees!

What an Amazing & huge park this is! Great xperience. While the Lions were mating a huge rhino ran past us across the road. We spend 12 hours inside the park. Out of this world! Had a nice breakfast at the restaurant inside the Kruger. Will hav to come back for more

The Kruger Park is the largest national park in South Africa and home to the mighty big five (Lion, Leopard, Elaphant, Buffalo and Rhino). It is a truly wild and magical place to visit to get a true African bush experience. If you are planning to visit for the day be sure to get up early and be at the gates when they open. Take a flask of coffee and some rusks and enjoy them overlooking a watering hole. The picnic spots are also great for a late brunch. A must visit if you are in South Africa.

Fantastic place, above all the opportunity to admire the great animals like elephants, giraffes and buffaloes. With a bit of luck you can meet lion, hyena and leopards face to face. Climbing the hills without a barrier that creates a car makes a great impression. You can then feel the taste of a real safari but also the feeling of being game.!

This is an absolutely amazing park to visit. If you can, there are tours that allow you to stay in the park. This way you can explore the park early in the morning when all the animals are out and about. Avoid going during noon hours or peak hours when it gets hot and animals tend to hide. Be respectful and DO NOT feed the animals. There are restaurants in the park for relaxing with a beer. Buy a map to get a better sense of the place. The mistake I made was get there late and had to leave to come back to Mozambique. If you can stay or camp (with a tour group) plan on 2 days.

Lots of wild animals. Managed to spot a rhino too! Wish they would have neater bathrooms. The rest stops are great and offer cooling refreshments and food. Some motorists don't adhere to the speed limit and they frustrate other visitors who want to spot animals. Wasn't disappointed by the wildlife spotted.

The wardens work hard to make sure this park is an attractive holiday destination. There are many bird hides and rest stops, and in the rest camps there are nice restaurants, shops, views and a relaxed atmosphere.

I ask that visitors please take their time when driving past animals, as the experience is better when you take your time.

This flagship of the South African national parks is the primary destination for many tourists, and not without reason: it is home to a huge number of species, including the big five and the less known ugly five. I really liked the bushwalk safari where you (guided by armed rangers) experience the park in a more intimate and exciting way.

Punda Maria in Kruger National Park. Landromat out of order. Ablutions not very clean and totally inadequate for the amount of campers. Great viewpoint at waterpole in campsite. Not enough powerpoints at campsite.

I love the Kruger. I always had great and friendly service here (Phalaborwa gate). Never be in a hurry. Go early and enjoy the peace and the quiet that only the Kruger can give you. Take your binoculars with and always keep your camera nearby and ready. Take your time and you will see a lot more than what you think.

If you're going to visit for a day, prebook at the national parks board offices online. Pay your fee and get to the front of the early morning day visitors queue. This way you're guaranteed entry. If you don't have a preference booking, you have a good chance if being turned away. Only a certain amount of day visitors allowed daily.

Still 1 of the best places on earth, to find your soul in the bushveld. Love the Crocodile Bridge camp with their friendly staff members and to just drive slowly, taking all in. It's when you look for the smaller creatures like dung beetles and birds that you notice the big 5. Also like Pretoriuskop Camp and the safari tents at Lower Sabie. Skukuza is a good camp to stay, as it's central with many choices of roads to travel in different directions. Not a cheap local getaway, unless you camp.9

I grew up visiting Kruger and recently had the opportunity to go back. I love this place. It is part of me, the sights and sounds and smells... Be prepared for driving long distances without seeing wildlife and be prepared for drivers who do not pay attention to the rules of the road. Take your time, stop and appreciate the beauty of the different landscapes and the wildlife and the people you meet. It goes without saying that to stop and see the wildlife always takes my breath away. The reason for four stars and not five is the lack of maintenance at some of the camps.

Kruger national park is one of my favourite visiting places. Every time it has something new and adventurous. Lion and rhino sightings are just amazing. I think whatever I write about Kruger national park could not justify the experience of being there and enjoying it. Must visit place.
