I was scared but it was pain less but Ms.tanna and my doctor did a grate job!,And it was fast .

I really enjoy coming to this place for any check ups or fillings. The staff are very nice and organized. Dr. Owens and Ms. Brown worked on my teeth today and they made the process very comfortable for me. They were friendly, asked me questions about myself, explained exactly what they were doing to my teeth, and made sure that I didn't feel any pain. If they can do that for an 18 year old, they definitely make sure kids alot younger feel as little pain as possible. I haven't had any bad experiences with any of the dentists in the years that I've been there.

I was always so scared of the dentist and my experience here may have cured me 50%. I went to get one of the worst things I can think of possible..... an EXTRACTION. When I went back my nurse savine was so nice and she made me feel at ease with my panic going crazy. Then my dentist DR.Owens was so nice and soft spoken she did this awesome test to were I couldn't feel any pain when my tooth was pulled, 2 teeth gone in 5 seconds pain free. I have to get two more teeth pulled out and i'm ready to go back!!!

Today i had Dr.Owens and she is the wiz at what she does she numbed me and i didnt feel the pinch of the needle and Assist carter she is the best she keept great conversation to calm me down kool smiles is the best place to come

I just took my soon to be 4 year old son to Kool Smiles yesterday for his first dental appointment and it was a pretty good experience. The desk staff was about as friendly as I would expect them to be working in a room with kids running around all day but they were helpful and I made sure to get there with enough time to fill out the paperwork before our appointment, a good rule in general for any doctor's visit. There were several people in the waiting room when we arrived and we got in 15 minutes after our appointed time but were out and done a little over an hour after we arrived. The hygienist and dentist were to the point but polite and explained everything very well and made my son comfortable. I will take him there again. The indoor playground and other kids that were there made it fun for him too.

My Children and I went to the dentist Friday and my daughter have been scared of the dentist since she was a baby. I could never get her to allow them to touch her mouth, but Dr. Owens and her Assistant Ms. Carter was awesome. They encourage her and even got her to relax to do everything at one time. My daughter is no longer fearful of the dentist, she say & I quote( as long as it's DR. Owens and Mrs.Carter. You guys rock. Thank you sooooo Much Dr. Owens & Assistant Mrs. Carter. I Recommend this 2 if you are ever going to the dentist@ Kool Smile in Decatur.

My family and I are very excited to be new to the area and find such a warm and professional dental team at Kool Smiles. This was our third visit for a continuation of cavity treatments. As with the others this was another wonderful encounter to have my 7 year old son come in and be greeted and treated by staff that are courteous and that are African American women as myself,and yes that has great bearings. Dr. Daniels was great! She was kind and patient, soft spoken with my baby. Ms. Nichole her asst. was receptive to my sons needs and understanding to his fears, with me. Then Ms. Keba, was very gentle and comforting to my son even in a state of temporary restraint, so they could finish their procedure. I wouldn't think if taking him anywhere else , as clearly their patient care and well being are of high priority. You can expect top quality care from this location, word of mouth! Also, kudos to Dr. Owens as well, her assistant Ms. Jessica and the dental hygienist team for the first two visits!! Thank you all! , and to the founder of KS for seeing a need for himself and his family and allowing that to be fashioned to help others!

They don't know how to care for little kids. will not be returning to this dentist ever again.

I literally hate coming to this place my last experience was yesterday and they were literally backed up sending people out and rescheduling, but their appointment was booked for that day. On top of all the madness a lady literally could not find her son, he was missing from the time I got there about 9:40 until 11:30 and to mention these people not once budge to help this lady look for her son and then when he did pop-up all they can say is "Where you been your mom has been looking for you"?? REALLY she had to call the police and everything before he poppes bck up!! If I could not score them I would and post a picture of them sitting on there sorry-ass not helping his lady look for her son. Really hate this ratchet-ass Dentist Office. That was the last straw for me will not be returning.

Visited this office 3/1/2018. Had a wonderful experience and friendly service. Mother of child(ren) and appreciated the extra mile these wonderful nurses n dentists took to assist me. Thanks Kim and Nicole.

The area is not the best location.
But this please on Candler Road is awesome!! Dr Owens, Ms. Brown and the rest of the staff is great!! I would recommend you take your children here. Very organized and friendly.

Ardeita was very nice and friendly . My Daughter came in to get work done and she put her at ease that made me as a parent feel good . I love her cheerful spirit. She did awesome and i would ask for next time .

The whole experience was GREAT. Good service and friendly employees

honestly the work they do is fine however a few issues:
1. my daughter had an appointment and they called me saying i had to reschedule i told them she wouldn't be returning
2. they call me nearly every day to schedule my daughter's appointment i already told them she wouldn't be returning yet they continue to call so i decided to go ahead and make an appointment
3. i have made many appointments on time. sat there for at least 15 minutes before my children we're called back and i go in 3 minutes late and they tell me there is no grace period smh ridiculous you don't see them as soon as we step in the door and you're gonna tell me i can't check in when you were gonna have us sitting in here anyways for the time i arrived after the appointment time plus more they're right up the street but a trip to lithonia is just fine for a better dentist office and and there is a great one by my job in decatur

I had a great visit today with Dr.Bell and Tammy. I came in for an oral surgery and each of them made me feel extremely elated and at a Divine Peace for the entire procedure. And bless Mary for being my comfort in this time of need. Kool Smiles you are great for every age. Thank YOU.

Had a very pleasant experience working with Dr Zoey and Ms Brown. The customer service was excellent.

I had an issue about an month ago so staff are familiar with me and it shows had a following appointment today Unprofessional at its Best I can say Mary did her Job she stood out from the Unprincipled persons behavior not to mention I waited almost 3 months for this appointment for them to send me somewhere else the only reason why I gave two stars because every staff member intentions are not bad it s their workers environment

My kids absolutely loves coming to the dentist which is rare for children all thanks to the staff at candler Rd. Talisha was a great help in assisting me with my appointments and checking in. Thanks to everyone for all that you do to make my kids, and my experience the best!

Very disappointed in the service. The dental assistant was rude. My daughter needed a extraction and they had no available appointment for her to have the tooth removed. I came to the dentist for that particular issue because my daughter was having pain, and she left out the dentist the same way she went in...WITH PAIN! Then on top of that i have to pay 900 for a tooth that isn't covered under medicaid. I don't have that type of money. Extremely dissatisfied customer.

My daughter was the biggest cry baby there but Ms. Markeeta did everything she could do to calm my daughter down and it was a SUCCESS. From hands on to know how everything will feel, to holding her hand walking her to the chair, to making my daughter not cry anymore and be a BIG GIRL! She was very patient and understanding and I genuinely thank her for that! She's the reasoning for the 5 stars! Thanks Markeeta!!

i hate this place every time i come. they let the children play all day in the play room super loud. i understand letting the children play but it is extremely loud. the wait times are ridiculous. I always have an appointment at a certain time and it always when i say ALWAYS, we are not being called until 1.5-2 hours later. i hate it!!!!

FAST FAST FAST!!! We only waited 10 minutes in the waiting area. The waiting room was nice and spacious and has a playground that the kids can play in while waiting. The dental assistants were nice and patient with the children. Checking in and out was a breeze because I was able to complete the paper work prior to the visit which made check in less than 5 minutes. This will be our permanent dentist office. Great Job Kool Smiles.

My visit was amazing and my assistant Valarie was good and my dr Dr You was really great at informing me of my oral health. Also the CTL tita came by to great me and see how my visit was going.

I gave this location two opportunities to make right a bad experience and I am thoroughly disappointment. I came to appointment thirty minutes early only to be told my son would not be seen because their dentist decided not to come in. I called the number with the intent on getting another appointment by the end of the week and was told I would have to wait an additional 3 weeks. This is not the way to do business. Horrible customer service. I can't keep taking off for this company's incompetence.

I have had a lot of problems with my braces. I had braces when I was younger and the office I went to was so much better than Kool Smiles doesn't even let you brush your teeth when you go in for an adjustment. I have had to go back once again because something was not done right. It such an a pain dealing with them. If it didn't cost me to stop treatment I would and go to a different office. They are always rushing and I feel as though they don't do quality work.... Terrible experience with braces here!!!! wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!

The wait was fine.But the dentist was horrible I think she was in the room for 60 seconds tops.

The great thing about this place is it's easy to get an appt without having to wait weeks, I was able to get a next day appt for my son. The bad thing about this is, they only have 1 big room in the back with 8 dentist chairs, so all the kids are in 1 room together and it kind of feels like an assembly line of children getting their teeth cleaned. The dentist didn't really introduce themselves or know the kids' names. The cleaning was quick but then there was about a 25 minute wait for them to come take pictures of their teeth. Parents also have to wait in the waiting area from afar, but you can still see your kids. The front waiting room has a really cool little play area with a slide that the kids loved. Also Kim at the front desk was super friendly. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back!

I've been to 2 of kool smiles locations didn't like them so today I tried the one in Decatur & I must say I found my family A new location. Talisha & Kim were so professional & the welcomed me to Kool smile & took care of my kids & the dental assistant were so genuine & great with the kids Thank God I found my family A new location

I am a single father of 2. Dealing with being a single father is not easy. Not many people want to.admit this but i can. Im able to do much for my kids right. So to wake up and hear your son in pain from a toothache is not easy. No money to catch the bus to get him there. But thru faith and the blessings and help from others. I made it. Im new to being a completely single father so im learning every step of the way.. Today i learned that you need ss# or insurance info. Well i arrived with neither. As a father the worst feeling in the world is to be helpless when your child in need. Doing everything i know to get the info i needed with no luck. I was about to throw my hands up and give in.. But thanks to the open heart and willingness to go above and beyond the normal call of duty. Talisha and Jamilia had the passion for me and my kids to help. Me ready to give up. But see hear them care and rack there brain to find away to help. Guess what they did.. They guided me in the direction i needed to get the needed info. As i type this. I sit here waiting for my son to see the doctor. The feeling i feel to be able to know my son will get the help he need to get him out of pain is priceless. I am not the 1 going to see the dentist. But i can truly say i will be the one with the "KOOLSMILE(S)" . because nothing means more then a happy child with a happy smile. Because of these ladies. We both we have a . Thx u ladies. Because of you i am recharged..

I took my daughter to the Kool Smiles on Candler Road in which she has been going for the last 9 months but not after my experience yesterday.
Kool Smiles on Candler Road is very unprofessional, my daughter appointment was to get her teeth capped and they end up only doing a cleaning and which was not her six-month check-up for her cleaning.I called off of work and she missed school all because they're not professional and they are not on one Accord with their appointment line. I asked the receptionist with all the makeup on her face for my daughter's Medicaid information and she caught an attitude and asked I can't believe you asking for your her information when you see I got all of these people to check in.

I researched the options available before taking my baby to have a pulpotomy & caps placed. I wasn't shown any pictures but it was described that it would look natural. It doesn't look very natural right now & though I know he needed some type of intervention & treatment to keep his condition from worsening further, I'm not sure I made the best decision. He seems to be in so much pain. I was told there would be enough time to get him home before the meds wore off. Not true! As soon as we checked out & put him in his baby seat he was crying from the excruciating pain & was screaming that his mouth hurt.

I don't know if this will change or begin to look natural. At the moment the caps don't look as natural as I thought they would & once we got home the the first dose of tylenol did not bring down his fever or diminish his pain. He was feverish & inconsolable for hours. For his second dose I gave him Ibuprofen for the fever. It went away but came right back. I tried without success to reach a doctor on call for the entire afternoon.

Seeing him in so much discomfort I'm not sure if the treatment was worth putting him through the pain now that I see how much pain he is in. Over the counter meds do not seem to be working. I have been trying to reach someone since we returned home for guidance about pain management with no success. I'm just not happy. Maybe that will change once he heals but right now I feel helpless, guilty, & like I made the wrong decision for my baby.

Not good service at all especially customer service is 0 I don't recommend no body I been today there by my appointment waiting 3 hours and they told me more 30 minutes and restroom not cleaning

My children had a horrible experience here. I won't say there unprofessional because I can't speak for everyone but my experience was awful. My children are frightened now of going to the dentist now. It's more like a practice then experience. One star for sure. This is a warning and go at your own risk.

The waiting time leaves a lot to be desired. Having to wait over an hour for someone with a scheduled appointment is ridiculous. My daughters told me that one doctor has toggled from room to room to service them both. Please hire more doctors because this is unacceptable. I seriously am looking for another dentist. Other than the ridiculous wait, the staff always seems to have good attitudes.

I had the pleasure of getting my tooth pulled there and it was an awesome experience. I originally took my children for there cleaning and exams, however while I was there I was in pain and the nurse informed me that Kool Smiles also accepted adults. The staff was VERY helpful in scheduling the services and communicated the process very well. Overall I was thoroughly please with the process and the nurse and dentist that performed my extraction. Job well done!!!!!!
